Are planning on shopping on BF? When the deals are the greatest... Is so, just looking at the WM ad, you can get.. DVD's $1.88-3.44/each Doodle Bear, Monster, Dino - $10/each Candy land or Operation - $10 for a 2 pack Little people Surprise Sounds Fun park - $10 Barbie Dolls - $5/each 20pk of hot wheels - $10 For Target they have... Games for $3.99 (Lets go fishing, Matching game, Cootie, etc) Sleeping Bag Combo $6 (Bag, Flashlight, Drink bottle, Backpack & whistle) PJ's $6.99 Doodle Bear $7/each (cheaper than WM) Well.. those are a few things I found under $10. Kinda hard cuz things are getting expensive these day. Good luck, and I'm sure they'll love whatever you get them.

If I were you.. Just use the ads that come in the paper on Thanksgiving. That way there is no problem.

I am Thankful for: My 3 healthy Boys My wonderful Husband. And the fact that we're finally financially firm ground, where past year, I couldnt afford to buy the boys gifts for xmas. Its been a wonderful year for all of us.. and for that I am truely thankful.

Since they are both sooo close, I'd go for a driveby, and see if a line has started... and go with the one with the least amount of people. AND since you both are wanting the laptops, I'd start my cruizin around early enough, so you both are guaranteed one. (maybe 6-8pm thanksgiving)

Personally, I think you'll do fine going in an hour or two before hand. Lots of others will be hovered around the skids.. and wont think of bikes till the initial unveiling if over with. :) good luck!

My understanding is.. this is just the Ad and the deals are to be had "in store". The article says.. "After everyone finishes with the meal, we're going to use [walmart.com] as a channel to unveil special offers that nobody has visibility to yet." Fleming said the idea was to use this strategy to drive consumers to Wal-Mart stores on Friday HOpe that helps ya. :)

Funny you mentioned this.. My DH is a firefighter as well. And i've been back and forth about what to get him. He has all the traditional plaques and blankets, shirts etc. So i'm getting him tools he needs for his job. He wants a Gerber Hinderer Rescue and a leatherman, Surge. He's not into wearing necklaces or rings.. so thats out. My DH's Cousins wife got her hubby a decal that goes in the back window of his truck. Very cool looking fire scene. I guess I"m just gonna have him get his 42" plasma and be done w/it. :)

WEll.. I"m taking my DH. And I've been shopping with him on BF before.. but never during the Early bird.. LOL Its either gonna make him or break him! I hope make him, cuz I'd like someone to do this with.. kinda boring by yourself. But I still love it with or w/o someone.

I dont see how anyone has the right to get upset if they're after say the 10th person in line.. if they dont get one. They know, everyone knows, that the stores are only getting a few of these things on round 1. So they chose to be out there with that many people in front of them.. Our Walmart is only getting 2, and giving out vouchers/rainchecks for the remaining 8. Not too sure what Targets getting.

Also, consider when your baby is born.. how this animal is going to act. Some do not do well with children or even babies. However, if you decide to go with an animal for a gift.. Yes, go with one from the shelter. We got one, and he's the best Dog any family could ask for. (he was 3 and fully house trained when we got him.)

I dont know how it is in anyone else's school... but our aides are there the same as the teachers.. they have group sessions and help teach the class. These days, they do more than just do cutouts and make copies, they have volunteer moms that do that. So the aide is as much of an important part of the teaching as the teacher is.

Here is a recipe for sweet potatoe casserole. Very Yummy! 3 large sweet potatoes 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/2 cup sugar 1/3 cup milk 1 tsp vanilla 2 eggs Topping: 1 cup chopped pecans (I use about 2 cups because I like them all over the top) 1/2 cup butter, melted 1 cup light brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla Peel and slice sweet potatoes into 1/4 in slices Bake, drain and mash (it's about 5 per potato in the microwave, and I have no idea how long it would take in a real oven) Beet with beaters, stop and pull out any strings from the potatoes Add butter and sugar while mixing add milk, vanilla, and eggs Milx well and put in 8 x 12 buttered dish (I use glass) Bake for 20 - 30 minutes at 400 degrees or until heated through. Mix the pecan topping and spread over casserole, bake an additional 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown

My DS is in kindergarten, and they have an aide in that classroom also.. I will be getting both of them gifts this year. Spending the same amount, probably giving them the same type of gift. The Aide does sooo much, and deserves a gift also. IMO>
