  1. The fall Smith and Hawkins items at the Graceland store were 50% off. Went ahead and bought the small pumpkin for $6.49. I wanted this to use with a votive last year and they sold out. Unfortunately, the cat decided this was a mouse house. I had put it on the floor while I unpacked the other things I bought and it has been reserved. She put a toy mouse in and has been throwing one in and fishing it out all evening-so no candles for me. Figures. $ spot was also 50% off and some Christmas has been put out. No legos, and the Ohio State/Cleveland Browns items were 30% off.
  2. The Big Toy Book was not in my paper here in Columbus, OH or in my Mom's up north. Did anyone get a Big Toy book in their Columbus Dispatch? If they did, we need to call our paper"boy". Thank-you.
  3. Thank-you!!!! At the Polaris -Columbus, OH location, not only was Halloween 50% off, but it seemed like over 1/2 of the shirts (short, 3/4. and long sleeves) were $3.97. Many other items were on sale in the womens area-the men's are had some 50% off on shirts, but the shorts STILL hadn't been marked down any further. I only checked the girls area for childrens, no new sales other than all of the Halloween included the costumes for 50% off.
  4. The Super Target in Dublin is a refurbishment of the Sawmill Rd location. They were putting the freezers in on Friday. The store has been greatly enlarged, the apparel area appears to be done. There were at least 4 rows of refrigerated/freezer going in, looked like at least triple the amount than is at the Polaris location. I'll be interested in seeing where they will locate the fresh produce, etc.
  5. register with Estee Lauder and receive your choice of free shipping or 3 more samples with $25 purchase. I chose the 3 samples (it is a surprise, but I like trying new Estee products) and will receive: Sample - Advanced Night Repair Protective Recovery Complex (10-day supply) 1 0.00 0.00 Idealist Micro-D Deep Thermal Refinisher (5ml Trial Size) 1 0.00 0.00 Tender Blush - Deluxe Trial Size in Shade 01 Petal in addition to the 4 samples Shipping was $6, but I really like the Advanced Night Repair line (the sample is worth more than $6)and am thrilled to receive a new blush. Thank-you
  6. Thank-you Gotta-dealers!! Just started with CVS last month after reading about the $20 ECB deal for Nabisco, Planters, etc that week-per todays slip-I have spent $24.49, saved $61.69 through 09/14/07 Today I purchased the 24 package of cool mint Zantac 150 today for $8.49 weekly deal-received $2 ECB limit one, used $5.49 ECB from the 8 package (limit 2 this month) and the $1 coupon from Sunday's paper -paid $2.21 with tax-will send in for the $3 rebate from Sunday's paper-so CVS has paid me for the med!!!! - started thinking-I rec'd the $2.99 rebate check from the Aquafresh toothpaste on Sat. and mailed in for the $9.99 "refund" from Field and Stream magazine (from the Coleman cooler (75% off) posted about last week- total $24.49 spent-$15.98 rebates=$8.51 total spent at CVS for groceries, health and beauty items and the cooler-this is FANTASTIC!- I could also subtract the 49 cents that should print Oct 1-makes this $8.02 I always thought CVS prices too high-also since I am single, didn't see where I would save vs. couponing at the grocery stores-this has been inbelievable. Also the Zantac and netipot would be flexible spending account eligible-although I will be over for the year due to unforeseen health problems. So again THANK-YOU all who have posted-this means alot.
  7. Way too early to purchase tickets for March 2008, many airlines are only going out through the first week in March at this time. You may want to go directly to the airlines websites to see the dates they are currently selling through. I am looking for airfares for end of Feb and returning beginning of March-I have noticed that the discount fares are only through December at most when I receive the emails for fare sales.
  8. School supplies at the Polaris -Columbus-OH store were 30% off last Wed 08/29-I haven't been in since then-so they may be lower. The Sawmill store is being refurbished-I've noticed that they are discounting somethings ahead of Polaris-last week some of their lawn furniture was 50% off -while all of the Polaris was still at 30%.
  9. I was at Jeffersonville Outlet Mall in OH on Friday 08/31-the Coach Outlet store had 20% off everything except for sale items as a Labor Day Sale-there were alot of sale items compared to the last time I was there. There were no additional discounts using the One Club weekly deals sheet (sign up in the food court) or on the AAA discount sheet (get one at the same place.)
  10. Join the filtrete clean air club and then print out this rebate form (it will want your pledge#)for $20 more back from 3m this will make that $109.99 plus keep a receipt for a possible filter rebate. 3m will send you quarterly emails that will include rebates for the filters sometimes.. http://mmm.apfco.com/spr07/pdf/28078-RebateOffer.pdf this offer was in the spring newletter
  11. Back from the sale. On the bottom of my receipt there is a phone# to call for a survey. Once answered, I was given a code to fill in-this is worth $10 off of a $30 purchase in-store from what I heard on the phone call. Unfortunately, I took a call while the terms were being listed and don't know how long I have to use the $10 off receipt. If someone else does the survey-please let me know. In the bag was a coupon good from July9 through August 5, 2007 for a free C.O. Bigelow item of your choice (up to $12 value) with any $10 purchase. valid in store and on-line.
  12. The codes just need to be entered on Snapfish's website by Dec 2007. I loaded all of mine last year-once entered, the free printing and shipping has NO EXPIRATION DATE. So load those codes! Follow the link on the email you were sent with the codes.
  13. I also have kept ordering the Gevalia coffee. Every few orders they send me another freebie-the best was when I got my choice and picked the thermos. Every 12 weeks here though, and the special winter blend is excellent!
  14. PLEASE NOTE : the DOCTOR stated NOT an ion one-ion purifiers are VERY BAD for asthmatics-please make certain that you change/clean the filters on the purifier away from the asthmatic as the particles that are built up on it are concentrated. I change mine in a different room (keep mine in the bedroom) and wear a mask. Mine is no longer sold, but I am also looking for a new one. Thinking of buying the new one by 3m, I use their micro particle furnace filter for my house. The filters cut down on dust also. (Target carries several brands of purifiers and filters, as do Lowes and Home Depot) If you sign up on the 3m website, they usually send a calendar and a rebate form. Honeywell also sells an air purifier that I am considering. Look at the size of area that it purifiers. What kind of allergy testing was it? Not all allergies will show up on the blood or the skin tests.
  15. Register online-you'll get a coupon for 1 free appetizer with the purchase of 2 entrees. They will also send you the same coupon on your birthday and on at least one other occasion.
  16. Received my rebate check for the Monopoly game today-it was only for $2!!!! Called the customer service phone# 1-888-836-7025 and was told it should have been $3 -they are mailing me a $3 off a hasbro game coupon as an apology. That works since I have niece and nephew birthdays coming-not the same as the cash though.
  17. Costco states in their literature that they do NOT take manufacturers coupon but receive better discounts with their bulk buying. I am single but belonged to Sams for 3 years, didn't renew the past 2. Costco openned here in Columbus OH in Nov. and I joined when they offered a $20 gift card for signing up($50 membership). I also looked around Sam's on a one day pass before joining Costco-not really missing Sams. Costco doesn't have the local football shirts/jackets/etc like Sams does(OSU!!!!!!!) but their prices are good. I have found bargains on clearance that are incredible. Their frozen and deli food items are better buys than the sales at the stores on many items for me. For canned and paper goods, the regular stores are better for a single person. Books, cd's, DVD selections are limited to bestselling latest releases and greatest hits-but the prices are better than the other stores. The coupon and in-store deals add to this. Things like $50 itunes cards for $44.9- add up. Office supplies are a better deal than Staples /Officemax for everyday.
  18. Shopped yesterday for last minute items-Costco has $50 itunes card for $44.99 instore and same price online with 50 cents s&h. Target has a buy 2 featured cd's and get a $15 itunes card free. Remember, if you buy itunes cards in the cd department at Target-they have at least 10 different card with artists pictured on the cards. If you buy one of these-you get a free download by that artist. The song that is free is named on the itunes card. I picked up the "Black Eyed Peas" for my nephew. There were also Jewel, Dixie Chicks, and others. The $25 itunes cards at Target had free "extra" about the pictured person or a free show episode. Target also has the plain itunes car, but why not get an extra download by getting a pictured card. For the last few weeks, Best Buy has had an instore-buy 2 featured cd sets, get a $15 itunes card free-I did this a couple of weeks ago-saw it last week instore but don't know if Best Buy is still doing this.
  19. Check your receipt(s) from 12/12. Printed with mine was ANOTHER DISCOUNT COUPON:) Save 30% off the list price of 1 item when you spend $10 or more valid 12/14-12/16-states one coupon per customer per day, excludes online and prior purchases, etc. No copies allowed. Also-if you buy $40 or more in gift cards, they are giving a $5 off coupon good after 01/01/07 until mid-month. I had a wonderful shopping day-Bought 2 hardcovers-one already 30% off of $23.95, used the 30% for a 7.99 paperback, another hardcover $24.95-used 40% coupon, used personal shopping day 10% off, cashed in $24.65 holiday cash-total was $9.53 due -saved $47.96!! Cashed in my free birthday desert coupon for chocolate cheesecake! Still have a 15% off of regular price birthday coupon to use(didn't think they would let me use the 30% off and the 40% but they did) Thank-you all!!!
  20. Sign up for: http://mystuff.buildabear.com and join the Build a Bear club. If you show the card each time you buy, you get a $10 gift certificate the month after you accumulate $100 in purchases-this replaces the frequent buyer card with the stickers. Add up to 5 names and birthdays of "children" can be "child at heart" and get 1 1/2 cents instead of 1 the month of their birthday. If you gave your snail mail address when a "bear" was purchased, you get a mini-catalog with a $5 off of an animal good through Dec 31 in November-we bought last Dec and June-rec'd one per child. I am an aunt and only "Grandma" and I buy -I rec'd a $5 free item for the one animal's "birthday" printable coupon in an email today-my niece and I are already going this weekend to shop for Christmas. You will receive at least one email a month with anouncements of when there will be "specials". This weekend, Dec 9 and 10, the doll shop is having "guest appearances" at some of the stores with a free storybook with purchase of the newest doll-Pinky Pizzazz. The newsletter also states that free calendars will be given with purchase at the doll shops "Friends to be Made" Dec 26-Jan 3. The Build a Bear website lists a "Hugable Heros" calendar with purchase that same week.
  21. Yes-They give you the gift card when you sign up. I used mine on gas:D Was glad I had saved it.
  22. Went to the grand opening this afternoon. They handed out 2 other sets of coupons, one set for $3 off of meat, deli, apples, baked goods etc. The other set was for $ off of specific items. The gas station there only accepts Costco gift cards, or American Express-no CASH!!!!! They had attendents by each set of pumps to make certain people knew. Gas was $2.07/gal for regular unleaded. This was good because the stations on the way there had raised to $2.26 or higher after noon today. Quite a few people where surprised that Visa and Mastercard were not accepted-they will accept debit cards with pin #, checks and cash in the store as well as the AMEX. Only bought a few things-Tillamook extra sharp cheddar cheese(yummmm), bacon, stuffed ravioli, peaches, 800 count of 24# printer paper by Xerox for $5.99 (ran out this am :) ). I'll head out again on Sunday with Mom, we'll end up splitting some baked goods, etc. If you don't have the 6 pack of Christmas favorite DVD's (Rudolph, Frosty, Little Drummer Boy, etc) with the coupon good this week, it is $12.99. There were free samples of food everywhere-many people bought the rotisserie chicken for $4.99-especially after tasting it. They even had samples of regular and decaf coffee!!!!. I know I'll end up buying deli items, the premade salads and dinners looked very tempting. Other samples were pomengrante juice blend, yougart, trail mix, cashews, mixed nuts, cashew/almond bark, 3 varieties of wrapped shrimp, meatballs, bacon, ham, roast beef, fresh monzarella, pumpkin pie, ice cream, cream puffs/assorted mini pastries, smoked salmon, hummus, Rothschild spread, Belgian chocolates, and MORE!!!!! Don't eat before you go. You do NOT have to buy a membership to go in, or show a card to look around unlike Sam's Club. I bargain shop quite a bit-the prices on some things here are equal or lower than sale prices on some food items. Other prices, like candy bars, canned goods etc, were lower than everyday-but higher than sale. There are many items I don't see in the regular grcoery stores and the Christmas gift baskets, toys, etc were fun to see. NOW, will others please post what they think? Please.......
  23. RE: my earlier post on the Bluetooth-checked the website just before noon and the price was changed. No need to buy one to get a second one at a discounted price. Ordered, paid with Best Buy bucks (still have quite a few left). Picked up at the store a few hours later. No email notification or phone call. Since I was promised a contact per the Supv., I'll let you know if I hear anything or not ( I would like an apology-at least it was a weekend-I am very irritated about being lied to. Also, the attitude that I should just pay the price, even though the ad was clear.). No customer service call should take 55 minutes and change. We'll see.
  24. Just finished a 55:53 minute phone call with Best Buy internet customer service re: Bluetooth for $29.99. When placed in the cart it is $61.72 not $29.99. I realize there was a better sale on Black Friday, but I worked 10 hrs customer service that day and didn't bother to go to Best Buy or even try to order online after last years experiences. CSR "L" I thought this was short for Ellen or Elinor, but the Supv called herself "N" (heavy accent also), told me that perhaps it was buy one get one for $29.99 since if you add a second -the 2nd one comes up for $29.99 but not the first. (I had tried this and told her-she also entered this). I also asked if perhaps the sale hadn't started but was assured it had. "L" then told me that she would send this to their Customer Assistance department and I would receive a contact back in 10 days!!!!! Not acceptable, I still have quite a few Best Buy bucks left. I then asked for a Supv., waited and was told they were also answering calls and that "L" would send this to the other department. Then I asked for a manager, waited and got Supv "N". Supv "N" admitted (after I recapped earlier conversation) that they were getting other calls re: Bluetooth, that this was being looked into, and that I will probably receive an e-mailed resolution "later" and not a phone call. She also suggested that I check back periodically to see if this is resolved to order. Supv "N" then added that "Best Buy would work to resolve any problems." We'll see.
  25. Costco has a table set up in front of the play area at the Polaris mall. There is a sign up stating that the $20 or $30 Costco card offer expires Dec 24 and they were signing people up at the mall. Do not have to have the flyer. Gave me a double sheet of coupons for CD's DVD's and Books valid for different dates. example: $35 instant savings on M*A*S*H complete series DVD set, $20 instant savings on A & E gift sets, $10 assorted Christmas Classics DVD, $5 Better H&G Cookbook, $5 assorted topics DVDS(i.e fighter pilots, America's Automotive Museums, etc) ,and $5 assorted Disney DVD's are the first week through 12/3. 6 different coupons each week ending 12/18-2/24. There was also a holiday catalog-but no prices-the catalog states that prices may vary nationally. Some items in the catalog are instore only, others online only. I didn't sign up, just asked a few questions-I may go to the openning on Wed, but not certain how my day will go.
