  1. No way on either. Alot of girls that age are starting to "grow up" the Bath an Body set is a good idea, some girls like those kits to make things, bracelets, hair stuff, etc. That maybe a good bet too. But, no CPK or CareBear!
  2. I just saw the commerical, it is very cute!! I hope Garth is going to make a come back.
  3. Same here, hubby is in the Air Force and I am not sure the memo of giving Christmas bonus' has made it up the chain yet!! LOL I have not even heard of my credit union delaying a payment in Nov/Dec. so I am losing out all the way around.
  4. I think I will get 8 boxes since I really like to have lite up tree and it is a very full around tree. Thanks everyone!!
  5. Some great ideas posted, thanks!! My kids are going to love getting a letter from Santa!!
  6. I have found great deals at Big Lots before, I am always amazed at what I can find there. Also, I always check the clearance section at Target, I find the best stuff there, sometimes I am shocked at the deals I find there! Hope that helps.
  7. We usually do a roast and all the fixings, but this year I may be leaning towards the fixins route and just making a bunch of finger foods so we can just grouge ourselves all day long. Not sure yet, still in the deciding stage. I think I will do a big dinner Christmas Eve instead this time.
  8. I have a bunch! I love Holiday Inn, Miracle on 34th Street (the remade one), The Santa Clause is great, but our most favorite would have to be Christmas Vacation, every year I laugh even harder than the one before. I can't wait to watch it!!
  9. I have been looking every where to see how many lights (this string kind, 100 per box) for our 7" tree. I thought it used to be on the boxes, if you have this size tree, you will need this many lights. Does anyone know, I need to buy more, but have NO clue how many to buy and I want to make sure I get enough when I get them. The tree is 7" and pretty full. Thanks!
  10. We don't have any traditions per say, we are military so we move around ALOT and we aren't living close to any family, so it is usually just us. I wish we could be closer to our families during Christmas so we could do the "family traditional things" astleast this year we are back in the States!! Feels better being in the States for Christmas.
  11. I will wrap a few things, no bow and I have to be careful not to use that specific wrapping paper on any other gifts-one year though Santa did have to 'burrow' paper from me, as he forgot to bring some. =0)
  12. I got one last week at our Commissary (military) for .39/lb--that is the best price I have found around here (panhandle of Florida).
  13. The gifts that are from us (my dh and I) will go under the tree as soon as it is up, as my gifts are already wrapped just waiting. Then Christmas Eve morning the kids get a large gift bag filled with fun things to do Christmas Eve day from Santa-Santa stops by Christmas Eve eve and makes sure he everyone has been good and leaves them the bag. Then, Santa comes back later that night to leave his gifts for the kids and fill their stockings. The kids go crazy over the Christmas Eve morning gift bag and keeps them occupied for some of the day.
  14. Nothing that really enthused me all to much, but they do price match. I bought the GB Advanced the other day and asked Mgr if I could return and get price on BF to match Walmart and she said just bring in your receipt before 1100 and I will refund difference. Yay!!! I will be at the BX, I am hoping for a gift card! Thanks for posting!!
  15. Next year, I am NOT shopping early. So many of the toys I have bought and already wrapped are so much cheaper. I opened a Christmas club for next year and I won't be buying anything until then. Ughhh!!!

    KB Toys Save $5

The prices there are soooo high so be careful on pricing.
  17. Does the ad you have include Eglin AFB or Hurlburt Field?? Those are my BXs close by. Thanks!!
  18. I think that it would be okay for a 5-year old. My 4-year old plays with a GameBoy with no problem. I just get games for kids. She loves it.
  19. WOW, I thought I was pretty organized and had most stuff pretty much thought out, my friends always laugh when I tell them "don't buy that yet, it is going to be on sale at WalMart on BF" they think I am a magical power with all my shopping boards, back to the question at hand, I have no idea what I am wearing yet, I live in FL so probably shorts!!! =0)

    Gift Room for BF

My attic is over my garage with pull down stairs, my DH had a FIT when he went up there to get all the gifts down so I could start wrapping. My garage has now turned into gift wrap central....FYI, washing machines/dryers are just the right height to gift wrap and you can spread out!! =) The kids know the garage is OFF LIMITS!
  21. What does everyone think that the "hottest" item(s) so far this year, I cannot really think of much except the Xbox 360. What do you all think??
  22. I did not see a thing on sale when I went to my BX. I saw the dishes, but they scanned full price, booo hooo!!
  23. I am thank goodness done, a few more things on BF and I am done, just now trying to do the all the wrapping. Wish I could get someone at a BF sale to do that, I would pay TOP $$$ for that!! LOL
