  1. I ordered this CHI (Pink Dazzle) for my niece the day it was posted (thank you!). I received it in the mail today and figured I'd jump on here and give you all an update. I did the comparison to the e-how link and found: 1. It is a 2 prong plug with adapter. It does have a reset button and has a "Q.C. Passed" sticker. 2. The manual DOES give service contact information for CHI. 3. The LED light does NOT stay red when power is off. 4. There is info embedded on the handle warning of electric shock if submerged in water. 5. It also says "farouk certified" (embedded). 6. There are CHI logos on either side (where springs are)and they have the "r" trademark next to them. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of CHI (I have a Sedu) and cannot compare to an original. I figured since I hadn't seen feedback on here I'd let you all know it seems authentic accept for the "3 prong" plug in the site claims it should have. . maybe someone with a CHI can tell us if theirs is 3-prong?
  2. Hey all - thought I would add my 2 cents. I have ordered this special for the 3rd year now (with no complaints). I get everything from skull backpacks to camera/Ipod cases. Last year I ordered 2 sets and they were exactly the same, but I got 2 messenger bags (plain black), 2 skull backpacks, and 2 dickies white and black star design purses. The year before it was an ipod case (I use it for my camera), a green and orange dickies purse and a blue dickies bag (like you would carry library books in - short strap deep bag). I got 2 sets at $10.00, but my girlfriend just e-mailed me complaining that they jumped to $15 per set. Hope this helps!
  3. It is awfully hard to tell, but it seems that Newegg.com has the same model for 89.99, plus free shipping, plus a free tote. May be worth checking into.
  4. The second time I filed a claim they told me the weight matched when the shipping company sent it out. Did I say empty box? I meant to say they shipped me a box of brown packing material and nothing else. I hope everyone else has good luck with them - there is nothing worse than being called a liar - I personally will never do business with them again. . . Has anyone noticed a lot of companies are using "tamper free" tape to seal their boxes? I've received shipments from Walmart and Cabelas with this sort of tape - it basically has a message printed all over it, and you can tell if it's been re-sealed. Maybe theft is becoming a problem?
  5. I was really upset - all I wanted was the product and they denied me twice! I've never had that kind of dis-service before!! When I called to report it, they left me on hold for 20 minutes, but I still gave them a chance to right the wrong - you know?
  6. Just wanted to let everyone know that buy.com shipped me an empty box and then denied my claim. I had to go through my bank to get my money back! Has anyone else had a problem? I guess some deals are to good to be true . .
  7. I've checked this site 4 times a day as an outsider for weeks and finally decided to become a member!
