  1. Wish I could find something on the 46inch westinghouse
  2. I have the original white one from day of release in 2006. I would have liked the black one its prettier but ours is fine.
  3. Read earlier posts with the information that the Wii has been redesigned and no longer plays Gamecube games. There are links to various announcements.
  4. My oldest Nephew has asked for an Automatic Car Starter for Xmas. I know nothing about them. Has anyone seen any deals on them? How do you go about installing them. DH is pretty handy I guess he may. Thanks for any and all help
  5. Here is a link to one article about the redesigned wii http://techcrunch.com/2011/08/17/redesigned-wii-to-launch-before-christmas-looses-gamecube-backwards-compatibility/
  6. I recommend the Xbox with Kinect. There are Kinect games that would be fun for their age. Wipeout in the Zone, (Wipeout 2 is also out) Kinect Sports. Not sure if they would like the Dance ones but Dance Central 1 & 2, Just Dance 3 are 3 that I know some boys locally like to play. Twistermania.
  7. Target does not have a BF ad it is always 2 day sale. Just some things run out quicker than others.
  8. You don't Amazon is famous for matching deals automatically. Just put your items in your cart and it will let you know when/if prices go down
  9. I will really need it this year!!!!
  10. Go to Amazon Gold box deal, middle of page it shows Black Friday countdown. Click on shop now, at 10am will have an i5. Better processor than this computer. Will probably be more money.
  11. The one for $199 is the Kindle Fire. The one for $79 is the Kindle touch that sells for $79 on amazon with offers it was the first one to come out when they announced 4 new Kindles. No sale price on them, that is the regular price on Amazon. For me I would order off Amazon since I pay no tax or shipping.
  12. Thanks OP I was able to get the free shipping and the $15 off $100 purchase At first it was not working then I added something and got it off. I have been waiting for a while had a bunch of stuff in my cart waiting for free shipping!!!
  13. Thanks Pnambic BlackFriDiva there really was not free for all at our Walmart, as I said I was really impressed. I used to shop at Walmart on BF until it got so crazy I could stand on my shopping cart and be carried into the store. Last year was the 1st time in years I stepped into a Walmart on BF. I can't wait until 12:01am. On the pallets when they uncovered them employees were there handing out the items, people could not just grab and go. Those pallets were put along a back wall and blocked off also. There was a crowd but employees were just passing items out. Toward the end some people might have gotten mad that they did not get their items but it really was not bad:) Brad my Walmart sells guns, I dont remember seeing any in a BF ad but they do have them in a section in the back of the store under lock and key. Hunting is very big here they even close the schools the Monday after Thanksgiving for the 1st day of Hunting Season. It was said so many kids missed school on that day because they went hunting that it was better to just close.
  14. I also heard good things about the Toshiba Thrive. We are looking at the Asus Transformer (not sure if the 1st gen or the new on coming in December) since it has a keyboard docking station. DS15 will be able to use it on the bus to type homework and then transfer to his desktop when he gets home at 11pm from his swim meets. I have the Fire on pre order originally for DH but now we are thinking of replacing DD laptop so he would take her old one down his Dad's during the week to watch movies etc. NOw we may give the FIre to DD along with the laptop, We were going to get her the Kindle touch w/offers that comes out next week so she could use the Fire as an ereader and also have a small tablet so she won't be jealous of her brother. I am waiting for the Walmart and BB ads to make my final decisions. Everything is just swimming in my head too many for me to handle
  15. Ye we love Toshiba here also. DH had one (his first laptop) for 7 years. He replaced with a 17inch Toshiba. DD13 got one 3 years ago and we may replace that one with this one and DH will take her old one with him to work to watch movies.
  16. It wont be any different than what he does now without the headphones:(
  17. I did like that they were offering a $20 gift card with the new Kindle $99 Touch coming out next week. That may make me go in unless Amazon or BB does something also. I am planning on getting it for DD.
  18. I was at Walmart last year for the 1st time in about 8 years. I have to say my Walmart impressed me. I walked in the store around 10pm and was handed a map with areas marked with numbers. The key to the numbers was listed on the back. I was looking for the 32" Lcd t which happened to be #1. They had balloons at the end of the aisles with #s on them. #1 was in the bread aisle. You walked down the bread aisle and stopped when you reached the person in front (if there was a person if not you were 1st in line). The other end of the aisle was corded off. I set up my shopping cart, my chair and got comfortable. My DD was with me so she went walking around. She said there were balloons all over the place. At midnight the small sales began, DD held my spot and I went and got my stuff, I was told I did not have to check out since I was waiting for the 5am sale and could do it all at once. During my wait Walmart employees came by with snacks, water and other stuff, and they answered any questions we had. The manager came by and would count how many were on li:Dne. Once we reached the limit of how many 32" tvs I was there for the closed the line. Just before 5am pallets were brought over to the head of the line and at 5 they started handing the tvs out as we walked by and went down the next empty aisle which had been blocked off to traffic so no one could just run up and grab a tv. I was out of Walmart by 5:30 and that included going and getting some other little things that went on sale at 5am like hard drives and memory cards. I will be going back to Walmart this year if they have anything I want, it was quite relaxing, I had my ads, my phone, a book to read, and DH was at home on the computer ordering what I needed online. Plus I was warm and dry since it was raining outside
  19. Happyfrog I am with you. I have the Nook and I love it. Is the Kobo also e-ink. I will be getting a Kindle for my DD for Xmas and also one for me because I have so many free books that I have gotten but cannot read them unless I sit on my laptop. It does not cost anything to borrow from the library on the Kindle either, they just have a separate line for kindle, epub or epdf. Amazon is also now allowing 1 book rental to Amazon Prime members per month. May I ask what library you borrow from. I borrow ebooks from the Free Library of Philadelphia (only allows 10 rentals at a time) and New York Public Library (manhattan branch) (allows 12 rentals at a time) Borrowing 20 books at a time is awesome
  20. Yes its $499 for the 32gb but I need to get the keyboard dock also which is $149. The price at Newegg for the previous model of $518 includes the 32gb and the keyboard dock.
  21. When I was doing the trade-ins at Gamestop last year, BB had not gotten on the bandwagon to take trade ins. I have not checked them out to see what they would offer. I was quite happy with our trade ins since we got extra everytime I traded. I did not trade in unless there was a bonus.
  22. BJs Vizio 47'' Full HD 1080p LCD HDTV $489.99 Men's Aspen 1/4 Zip Pulloer Fleece 9.99 TOTAL $499.98
  23. Last year we traded in games when they would run specials offering an extra $5/$10/ or percentage if you traded in 3 or more. I did it several times over a few months. The week after the new Xbox w/kinect came out they had another special offering an extra $20 if you traded in 4 games and got an Xbox w/kinect. We went back traded and also traded in DS old Xbox and with all the credits ended up getting the new Xbox 250gb w/kinect for an even trade actually had $.30 left over:D
  24. That is the regular price for that Kindle w/special offers. It only has 2gb of storage. I am holding out for the Kindle Touch For $99 with special offers coming out next week. Has storage of 4gb and a longer battery. The $15 gift card is nice, but I would have to pay tax. Maybe Amazon will offer something, I don't pay tax there:D
  25. I know I just read my email!!! This looks awesome!!! Now to decide whether to go with Newegg and $518 (missed out on the bundle for $499) for original Transformer and keyboard, or wait and get the Prime at $650. I wonder if Newegg will have any deals on BF
