Yes you can download books from the library for kindle. I am not sure how it would work on the Fire. I do know that you have to go thru Amazon when you download the book from the library unlike with the nook it goes into ADE on your computer. I think its download to Amazon then whispersync to your device.

I am with you I have done so much research on it also. It will be for DS15 to use to help him keep up with his papers for school when he is on his away games for Varsity. I also agree the docking station was what sold us along with expandable storage. We originally thought the ipad2 would work but after going into stores etc changed our minds. I actually already got the docking station from Newegg since they had it for $99 no tax, it arrived today:) At one point I was going to order when Newegg had a bundle the 32gb w/docking station for $499, but decided to wait

Thanks Taz, still talking to DH to find out if we can meet with you. He keeps asking how far away your BB is. He seems to think that Monroe might not be too bad. Found out some things will be online so that will help out alot. I will let you know, and thanks for the offer.

Thats great!!! I asked at my Walmart on Sunday and was told a big NO WAY!! The TV I want is going to be onsale after 8am and was hoping to put it on layaway so I would not have to hide it in the house.

I orginally had pre-ordered the Kindle Fire, but was on the fence whether to cancel or not. I was going to get it for DD13. I decided to cancel once I saw the BB ad that they have the Acer Iconia 7" for $189. I will be one of the first online and will be getting that as well as the Asus Transformer for DS15. I went with the Acer because I can expand the storage etc. When we take long trips she will be able to load it up and watch movies etc in the car or on the plane. We cannot guarantee we will be in the area with wifi to access the cloud when she runs out of stuff to do on only 8gb. I Fire seems wonderful and we would have stayed with it, if it was expandable or had a LOT more storage capacity.

Go to SquareTrade.com, fill out the information on the item and they will give you a quote so get an idea of what it will cost. I have done it several times when planning the purchase of an item.

Mine gets delivered. Most likely it will be in Wednesdays paper instead of Thursday as is the norm. Delivery person likes to give us the flyers a day early:)

My DS has had a Dynex 32" for 4 years now. No problems. It is a BB brand. I am hoping to get the 24" also for DH shop.

Check out SquareTrade for warranty on electronics. They beat the stores and are very easy to deal with.

racerfan replied to stationchief's topic in 2011
I checked the Samsung website because the 6003 is a "special" TV for Black Friday went by the 6000 series which says its 240hz. I sent an email to Samsung and they said same thing. I guess we will have to see whats on the actual box.:) -

DB means Door Buster. Those are the items on sale at that price for a limited period of time on Black Friday etc -

I just finished inputting the Kmart tvs, and doing the research on them. Doing the one for the Sears outlet and then HDTVs will be updated to present. Still dont have any for Sears regular store since that part of the ad has not come out -
We have done that and also we vaccumn it out regularly. DH will be taking it down with him to use to watch movies, stream Amazon, Netflix, Hulu etc. When it happened to my computer it took a year before the harddrive finally died. It happens to be a AMD processor which I am told runs hot to begin with. She has a fan hooked up to hit also.

Kindle Fire looks amazing and I would love to get it but I also don't like being limited to only the onboard storage as well as not having no camera, its for DD and she will want a camera on it lol. Yes it has the Cloud but that won't work when we are sometimes on the road for a day or so travelling. I am also looking at the Acer, will check out the Galaxy 7inch also. I am getting the Asus for my DS with the dockng keyboard.

Can anyone help me out. I am looking for a laptop for DD13 to research for school, Facebook (messaging no games really), emails, type up papers(already have Microsoft Student) She is in 8th grade and her laptop has started running really hot and shutting down. She is not like her brother and will be doing Engineering next year in HS, she is thinking of maybe doing a photography class as an elective. Which one of these would be ok for her. The first one is at Best Buy now in their guarantee in stock promotion for $269 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Toshiba+-+Satellite+Laptop+/+AMD+E-Series+Processor+/+15.6%26%2334%3B+Display+/+4GB+Memory+-+Black/3438577.p?id=1218402124648&skuId=3438577&st=toshiba%20laptop&cp=1&lp=1 In the Best Buy Black Friday ad there are 3 laptops I am looking at also. The Samsung for $299, The Gateway (secret price) and the 17inch Toshiba for $349. Thank you so much, I most likely will be at BB on BF since there are several other items I would like to get and if I cant online will have to be on line early. I posted this on another thread also.

Help with choosing the right Kindle
racerfan replied to Kim3498's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I really don't know it is new and will be released next week. I will have more of an idea once I go check it out at the store. I am planning on getting one for myself just not sure whether it will be the keyboard or the touch. I already have a Nook, but have so many free books that I have downloaded but I am unable to read unless I use my phone (small screen) or my laptop. -
Its a little on the expensive side. BB will have it cheaper on BF and hopefully it will be available online.
-
Yup this is the one that we plan on getting for DS15. I just ordered the keyboard from Newegg for $99.99, so I hope this will be online so I don't have to camp out. I have a bunch of things I want at BB and they seem to be all doorbusters.

Help with choosing the right Kindle
racerfan replied to Kim3498's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I think the Kindle keyboard or even the new Kindle touch would be fine for her. They are both ereaders and easy to use. -
Last year I tried to get the 2 different external harddrives they had. They have them on pallets (at least the one they got in stock). ONe of them they got a total of 5 in the store!!!
