  1. The Magic Bullet is at Linens and Things for $59.99 it has only been on sale $49.99 in the last six months. You can use a 20% off coupon the stores always have extra coupons this time of the year.
  2. Linens and Things will take all Bed Bath and Beyond coupons even their expired coupons. This time of the year there are always flyers in the store with a coupon on the back. You can also sign up for the email coupons from the web site. BBB and Linens and Things aren't owned by the same company so they stay pretty competitive.
  3. I am a manager for Linens and Things and we gladly accept any expired coupon from our competitors as well as our own. We use to have the 60 day policy but that was changed months ago. I have seen guest use coupons from as far back as 2005. You can use a coupon for every item you purchase if you have that many in hand.
  4. Linens and Things have them for 29.99 and they always have 20% off coupons.
  5. AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a shame that some time people get so involved in the rat race that they forget the real meaning for Christmas. ( So everyone, please when writing or speaking don't take Christ out of Christmas with that easy to write X-mas thing.
  6. Why not fix her a nice basket with a pair of memory foam slippers, some foot lotions, and nice framed picture of her and your girls doing one of their routines.
  7. How about an electonic journal, some cute PJ's, a new duffle bag with maybe some new dance tights and shoes in it. Last year I worked with alot of toys and the biggest request from little girls her age was for the password journal and music CD's. Hope this helps:)
  8. Toys R Us is really bad about shipping anything that is over 12" or larger in the original box and plastering the labels where ever it lands. You would think they would put it in a brown box especially around Christmas time. They don't honor the online prices in the store because they no longer price match anyone and their theory is that once you pay shipping it will be the same price or higher if you just purchased it in the store. Sometimes it makes you wonder if it is just another way to get their allmighty dollar.
  9. We have a real tree every year. I have always added a cup of sugar to the water about every three days. It seems to help keep the needles from drying out.
  10. One year DH wanted an electric brad nailer so I bought a hammer and extension cord. I hot glued the cord to the hammer and gave it to him on Christmas eve. Everyone got a good laugh. Christmas morning he got the real one. I also did a pencil and an extension cord for a son who wanted a hundred dollar calculator.
  11. Just got back from Target and got my BBQ pit. I also picked up five shirts for my son at $1.24 each, a six pack of socks for $2.24 reg. $9.99, and the ice shaver. :)
  12. I think a coupon book with different chores EX: a night where DH cooks, five loads of laundry washed dried folded and put away, a top to bottom scrub of the bathroom of their choice etc. This would be the ideal gift and I could just pass the coupons out on those days or weeks where work has been brutal and I could use a break.
  13. We have four cats. Two are just perfect babies the other two just love to bat the bottom ornaments on the tree. We are hoping this year will be better since they are all over a year old and seem to have gotten a little lazy. All I can say is have patience with them.
  14. We buy all year long. On BF we pick up extras of the items that we can donate to the battered womens shelter. I have a spare bedroom that looks like a mini toy store. The neighbor kids sometimes ask if they can go shopping in the room with their allowance money. I laugh and let them pick something out and tell them to keep their money.
  15. I picked up DH some pretty good deals today. I got 6 one gallon bottles of Mr. Clean windshield cleaner fluid with deicer for 74 cents a bottle. They marked the new ones down instead of the summer bottles. A 15 foot tow strap 3.24 75% off and a 37 piece ratchet tie down set for 4.98 75% off as well. Hubby says I am awesome.
  16. We are a Chocolate gravy family too. DH grew up on it. So of course I had to take on the tradition. The kids love it too but not enough to leave those packages under the tree. So we eat after.
  17. Here is the scoop. TRU was bought out in July of 2005 by three individuals. The game plan is to cut out all free standing Kids R Us stores most had already been implemented into the TRU stores. The TRU stores that were closed is some cases were to be turned into Babies R Us stores. They are also looking at making new combo stores where TRU and BRU are connected. Babies R Us is the driving force behind the business right now. They are going to cut down the number of old toys that were still be carried to free up money and space to carry the in demand items. It will be interesting to see if this happens.
  18. I was a manager for 10 years for TRU and that is not how I operated my store. A simple turn of a key would have put a smile on you little ones face. One penny isn't going to make or break TRU. I did this many of times to make sure all of my little ones got what they picked out. Shame on the store you shopped at. If I were you I would take it one step further and call the Director of the store and ask for the District Manager to call you. That will light a fire under them. I am really sorry they treated your little one like that.
  19. We don't regift. DH and I give gifts that are not needed or duplicates to the Brazoria County Sherrif's Dept. They take them to the battered womens shelter. We also buy Toys that we find really inexpensive all year long so that the children in these shelters have something for Christmas as well. It is a small way that we can be a blessing to someone else.
  20. I am in the kitchen baking for an army of kids and loving it. The kids are snatching warm cookies fresh out of the oven. Husband is telling me that I am spoiling them all as he is trying to hide the hand full of cookies. The older kids start arriving about 8pm and then everyone gets to open one gift. My normal tradition is to have them open a gag gift. ex. One year DH wanted an electric nailer so I bought him and hammer and glued an extension cord on it. He got the real one on Christmas morning. The kids love the gag gifts.
  21. It's cookies and milk inside for Santa. On the outside it is hay and sweetfeed for the reindeer. We live on a farm so the wild animals get a treat too.
  22. We love Christmas!!!!!!!!! The last count was over four thousand lights on the outside. DH decorates the outside and I take care of the inside. He has several large displays for the front yard and the roof of the house could get mistaken as a runway for an airplane.

    Coupon?

This is a company wide policy and if your store doesn't honor it call a manager and if that doesn't work call 1-800-toysrus
  24. Being an ex TRU associate, I can give you guys a little in sight. The new CEO of the company is Jerry Storch. He is formally from Target. His game plan is to eventually run TRU like Target. All the Target stores in my area will not take anything back without a receipt. However, both stores have the ability to check their computers and reprint a receipt for merchandise that is paid for with a check or a credit card. All you need to do is give them your numbers. As for returns on electronics, the only merchandise that is classified as electronics are the products purchased in the RZone section and DVD's. If the service desk tries to refuse your refund ask for a manager and if that doesn't work call 1-800-toysrus. And I won't shop there anymore either they treat their managers and associates like dirt.
