  1. The big bratz doll last year at Walmart. It wasn't on my list but I saw so many people taking them, I bought one also. DD never played with it once and I think it's still in her closet.
  2. Marc, you really outdone yourself! Thank you for helping with my decision. Can you try to answer one question though? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Is the Staples TomTom 3rd edition portable?
  3. Lots of people saying jeans, but if you live in a cold environment once jeans get cold, they stay cold! Better to wear cotton or nylon, they retain the heat and are still very comfy and mobil.
  4. If you live anywhere near Canada they have them everywhere here in Montreal. Costco had two pallets of them yesterday. And they are $269.00 here. Also you can check you local Craigslist, there are always people selling them.
  5. I think they play us really well. One year they start the sales really early so people who wait it out get crappy deals after Dec 1st. The next year they give the best last minute deals (like last year) and the people who buy early can't return them.. keeps you guessing so they balance out each year. i bought early this year so I'm lucky, and last year I bought late so I was lucky too. I think it's all planned this way. If you see the flyer on their website for this week, it's pitiful. I feel sorry for anyone who has to do their shopping a week before Xmas.
  6. Just be careful, buying stuff for the older kids is easy, but try to make sure that the little one won't swallow what you bought! (advice from mother of three)
  7. I know everyone is disappointed in Walmarts sales this year. I was waiting for this weeks flyer to come out and when I didn't see one, well, I wasn't happy. I was hoping for another BF2, just to get some more stocking stuffers, but well, another big flop. But then I starting looking for the gifts I'm missing on the Walmart website, and well you have to admit, Walmart is cheaper than most toy stores this year. I only have Wm and KB toys nearby, and WM is kicking their butt when it comes to prices. So the way I figure, they don't have to have sales, just give all the people the great prices from now until Xmas. I'm still saving money, and don't have to mad rush to grab things like I had to on BF. Anyone else have comments on this?
  8. Did anyone see the new flyer for this week yet (the 10th of Dec?) Just wondering cause I haven't seen it yet. Thanks!
  9. I'm wondering though, can they cheat with this thing? On exams and such? It looks like just a pen...
  10. It's a remote that you can add almost every piece of entertainment equipment to. And if say, you want to watch a movie, it will turn the dvd player, tv, and surround sound system on all at once. it can even program your xbox, ps2, etc..The higher models can even turn your lights on but we don't have that. But you can plug it into your computer and download all your equipment and it will program it automatically. You can get them at BB or Amazon and I think the cheapest is about $70.00. here's a link... http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Harmony-Advanced-Universal-Remote/dp/B000BDG3HU/sr=1-6/qid=1165504905/ref=sr_1_6/105-1179061-0563655?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
  11. what about a dvd recorder? Or electric shaver. Or the harmony remote. That thing is awesome!
  12. even techie people like stuff other than techie stuff. Maybe get him something he wouldn't normally buy himself, like a basket of stuff (razor, aftershave etc..) or wine glasses for his kitchen. Men are so clueless when it comes to that. Or get him dvdr's or cdr's. Hope this helps some!
  13. My husband sells housewares (anything for the kitchen) and at Christmastime everybody comes to him for door prizes and gifts for things like bowling leagues. his most popular are wine carafs, vases, espresso makers (he sells Breville brand which are amazing), toasters, fondue sets, etc... People just love them!
  14. I bought my kids the Leapfrog turbo twist. it helps with their math. Educational gifts are always appreciated by the parents! And leapfrog.com has them on sale right now. And the kids think it's fun too:)
  15. You can't go wrong with the Pirates of the Carribbean dvd. Everyone loves those movies!
  16. Last year i bought my husband an xm radio and paid the years subscription. He loves music so this worked out well. Now he just sits in his car and listens to music all day (just kidding). This year my list is an alarm clock with the weather temp, a camcorder, (thank you BB!) a belt, and a karma Sutra book (hehe). Hope this helps
  17. just to let you all know, these are going to be $9.99 starting tommorrow (Dec, 2) at www.toysrus.ca. it's in our flyer that hey will be half price. They are regularly $19.99 but starting this week they'll be half price. So if you know anyone in Canada, maybe they can ship it to you. it's free shipping online also, but I don't know if they ship to the US. Hope this helps!
