The PS3 is what is keeping Blu-Ray afloat. Also reading the forums extensively on this subject, standalone HD-DVD players are outselling Blu-Rays however when it comes to DVD titles, Blu-Ray is winning so the war is far from over.
As far as 1080i vs 1080p I have to disagree with you. I can tell a difference when playing a Blu-Ray movie on both sets. (I had Sears set it up for me so I could see it in the store.) There is definitely a difference but it could be how different individuals perceive things. One other nice thing about the 1080p sets is that you don't get the screen door effect. I can see the effect on a non 1080p plasma at 10ft away but then again it might just be me.

I think th e difference in the coupon is if you have a TRU credit card. I do and had two coupons one for a 10 gift card with a 75 dollar purchase and one with 10 off 100 purchase if I use my TRU card.
We don't have a CC but received the same coupons. The book came in the mail.

Gotta wait out the Blu-Ray vs, HD-DVD battle...there just does not seem to be a reason to possibly waste money...unless I am missing something
I agree. I am planning on purchasing a 1080P soon and would love the player to go with it but don't want to get caught up in the war. Remember the VHS and Betamax wars? That how I know I am old! Betamax was better quality and smaller tapes, yet VHS won so you never know!

Really? I wasn't aware of that. All the folks over in the AVS Forum were saying that BluRay was better due to this fact. Either way I think I will wait till one format wins over the other!

The verdict is still out. One minute BluRay is winning then HD-DVD is winning. I personally feel that Blu-Ray is better because it offers true 1080P where HD-DVD doesn't. Blu-Ray is more expensive then HD-DVD though and with some studios only releasing titles in one format the war appears to be dragging on.

anybody have a link to a good recent woot off tracker? All the ones that i used to use no longer seem to work.
I second that....I am also having trouble finding a good one again. I prefer a web based version. Don't want to install anything on my computer at work.

While a lot of cable co's aren't broadcasting in 1080p (yet), the noticeable difference comes into play with a bluray or HD DVD movie. On a 42" or smaller screen, it will not make a difference but it definitely will on a 50" screen.
Best thing to do is to go to the store and compare them yourself. Check out Sears as well right now because they are running a very good sale on their TV's with rebates if you use your Sears card.

Look in the online deals for digital camera deals. Several come and go depending on what you are looking for. As for shouldn't joining, that just isn't true! Now instead of great deals, look for the awesome ones on here!

I have to agree with Brad. If you visit gottadeal on a regular basis, it isn't difficult to get through all the deals. It would be more difficult for me to go through all of the deals if they were in sub forums.

The extra RAM is definitely a consideration but I wouldn't let the n network card be the deciding factor. There have been quite a few issues with the n standard and I think wireless G will be around for quite awhile. If you don't mind rebates, it isn't a bad deal but MIR are quite a hassle these days.
