  1. They will not replace the battery! It is part of a power tool which isn't covered under the lifetime warranty. Only hand tools are covered.

    From Wikipedia:

Craftsman hand tools have an unlimited lifetime warranty. The unlimited lifetime warranty is voided if the tool is used in an industrial or commercial environment. For these situations, there is a special unlimited warranty program. A common misconception among consumers still exists that the lifetime warranty includes Craftsman power tools and precision hand tools. Craftsman portable power tools, bench power tools, air compressors, lawn & garden products and other powered items carry various warranties. Sears offers Replacement Agreements and Master Protection Agreements on most of their tools.

In 2003 Sears removed the lifetime warranty from Craftsman flashlights. Another limitation to the warranty introduced in 2003 Craftsman tape measures carry a lifetime warranty on all parts except the blade itself. Almost any tool may be brought to a Sears store and exchanged for a replacement item. Some items are considered specialty tools, and thus not covered under the unlimited warranty.

After the merger, Kmart began selling Craftsman products; Kmart stores will also honor the lifetime warranties on any hand tools.

My battery on my drill died and it was cheaper to buy another drill rather than a battery!

  2. I had my friend who works at Best Buy purchase an HDMI cable for me. I think with his discount, I only paid $9.99 or $7.99. The markup is just ridiculous.

Doesn't surprise me considering that they don't make squat on the TVs. They can't stand when people come in and buy just the TV...no cables, no DVD player, no wall mount...drives 'em nuts!

  3. ditto ditto on monoprice. For any application, just type in the platform (wii, psp, ps3, etc...)

Ditto here too! Couldn't be happier with their cables. I just bought several 1.3 HDMI cables and composite cables to run in my walls to the flat screen on the wall. I paid about $130 for over 8 different cables 25+ feet long....same cost as a 5ft cable from BB/CC!

  4. Acer 20" Monitor AL2016WBB is $159.99 at Staples B&M. This is the same monitor Walmart was offering at $168 on Black Friday! I just picked one up and it is fantastic! Not sure what to do with all the room on my screen! This is a holiday special (it even states that on the box). My store didn't have them on display but when I asked for it they went and got it. The manager told me they aren't on the floor because they are only meant to lure people into the store for the holidays. Add one of the Staples coupons and this is a great deal!

It is only available in stores and not online.

  5. I know, I ordered the one on Amazon, and then checked in WM yesterday, but the Disney ones were regular price, so when I checked online and found them for $15, I bought that one, too, and I'll give the other one as a gift for a b-day next year, because the Disney one is the one I want...

I will be doing the same thing!
