  1. Talk to the manager at the store and tell them they are for a donation to the school. They should drop the price for you. Our Target is very good about this.
  2. We use a couple of rubbermaid totes as toyboxes. They are cheap and we can rotate them out so they don't get tired of the same toys. The price that they want for some of the large ones like Little Tykes is ridiculous.
  3. The best deals are on BF. The next best deals are usually before Christmas and before school starts (July, August). Intel is coming out with new chips for laptops so prices are probably going to drop soon again. If you can hold out for a bit, I think you will get more for your money...just my opinion though.
  4. I have a Kenmore grill that has lasted 10 years...no problems and the parts are very easy to get if anything breaks (mainly from my own doing) from sears parts direct.
  5. This is a false statement. I have used both and both have their quirks. With the latest maps both Garmin and Tom Tom are very accurate (but still both make mistakes). The best thing to do is to go to a brick and mortar and try out both. Get the one that fits your needs. The reason I went with TomTom overall is that it offers waypoints and will map the best way to get to multiple locations, Garmin didn't offer this.
  6. If you are looking for shirts and clothing, check out www.bluecotton.com. They are awesome and do a great job.
  7. I have to agree, they should have given you the 30% off, not both. What if there were 3 of the same flyers taped to it? You wouldn't expect 30% off 30% off 30%. You got a great deal and it sounds as if the store did the right thing. There is no reason to complain further.
  8. Not a bad find, the issue would be finding the label cartridges though.
  9. Consumer Reports latest magazine discusses Extended Warranties. The title of the article is: Extended warranties: A high-priced gamble Our survey of 8,000 new-car buyers shows they are usually a poor deal Might want to pick up a copy and check it out. I think it is a free article for non subscribers if you go to their website.
  10. The question becomes, if your vehicle needs $2200 worth of work done, do you want to drive it anymore or would you trust it? I am one of those people that don't believe in the extended warranties. If I had to have that much work on the car, I would pay to get it fixed then get rid of it. If nothing goes wrong, I am ahead. If something goes wrong I pay the same price and then get rid of the vehicle. Then again, I am also one of those people that performs the regular maintence as recommended and I don't complain about every squeak and rattle.
  11. Ahh, I remember the buy.com coupons as well...so much better than the GC coupon today!
  12. I have ordered a lot from buy.com and never had a problem. I also have contacted their customer service and they were quick, friendly, and responsive.
  13. Well you wanted to move soon and thought the lifetime warranty was a waste....now you have a reason to move sooner!
  14. Wow, from $230 to $440?!? He must've wanted the hot water more than you!
  15. No, fires aren't a good thing! You should be fine. Most hot water heaters will last at least 10 years unless it is really cheap. Good luck!
  16. I am not one of those people....I love all of my Kenmore appliances and have had great luck with them. I have received a few deals from Sears lately for 10% off if using my Sears card. Since you can't wait to buy a hot water heater and they currently aren't running that promotion, I would print one of those 10% off coupons from Lowes or Home Depot (look on Ebay) and ask them if they would match it. I think they would be willing to come down the 10%. As for capacity, something that is more important is the FHR or First Hour Rating. It is more important than capacity since it tells you how much hot water the heater can put out in one hour of use. Also don't forget the warranty aspect. You can find water heaters with 12 year warranties that don't cost much more than ones with shorter warranties. Good luck!
  17. Congrats! our Office Depot told us they were sold out and they wouldn't honor the price.
  18. I wonder who will wind up with the most "star deals"!
  19. As they always say....if it sounds too good to be true....
  20. Well I got the keyboard. There was a line formed up at my store but I was lucky enough to get one of them. The store only had 2.
  21. Nope or I would have shared it! It's a one-time thing.
  22. Well...wanted the keyboard and stayed up till 1:30am CT....couldn't purchase it. Got up with the baby at 5:00am and they were sold out....that ticked me off! Grrr!
