  1. Tells on box RW- or RW+, as for better, RW- is the popular version, & the most commonly produced, I.d have to re-visit web site the I used before i bought my PC burner for actual quotes. It's probably a nice unit but I'll pass, since I know I'll only be able to playback on that unit.

are you talking about burners to use with a computer or the standalone ones (like a vcr)?

In my experience, DVD-R are best for using with the computer dvd burner and most dvd recorders (standalone) use the dvd+r to record on unless you get the more expensive ones ($300+) they usually record on both media.

I created this thread in reference to the cyberhome dvd recorder (standalone) that walmart has and the daewoo (standalone) that sears has to get other peoples opinions on which would be best? Any new thoughts?

  2. Can these deals be bought online? I don't have a compusa near me.

I think maybe I want the Cyberhome dvd recorder. I'm not sure what the difference is between theirs (1600) and Walmart (1200) but dvr1600 sounds better than dvr1200, don't know why but higher number sounds better?

  3. DVD burner.

Depends on if she wants one that works through the computer or a standalone that works like a vcr. In my experience, the computer ones are called dvd burners but the standalones are called dvd recorders (work like a vcr). That is how I have seen them referred to in the past anyhow. I have a dvd burner now and am planning on getting a dvd recorder on BF from sears or walmart (or maybe both?)
  4. I have the cyberhome recorder and it works great! I love the way it will instantly skip commercials!! That is the best part, no fast forwarding!!

Do you have the same model (CH-DVR1200)? I tried to search for it but can't find anything about it. The commercial skip thing is a necessity for me. Thanks...

  5. I don't have any experience with dvd recorders so I thought I would ask your opinion. Walmart has the Cyberhome for 79.99 and Sears has the Daewoo for 89.99. Setting the 10.00 difference aside, which would you buy? I am not familiar with either brand. Thanks in advance.
  6. Does anyone know anything about the Daewoo DVD recorder sears has? I serached but haven't really found anything, they do have a Daewoo dvd player but no recorder on the website. Any thoughts? Think it is a good deal compared to Walmarts Cyberhome?
  7. My WM has them in already. I seen them tonight when I was there. They are prepackaged with chutes and ladders, sorry, candyland, trouble.

They were all kiddie games? No scrabble or any adult games?

  8. It's like Sorry, and Twister, Candy Land.. I belive that you get to choose two Milton Bradley game for $10.

Is it any Milton Bradley games or do they have them prepackaged?

There is a few games I would like to buy but if they are prepackaged or they limit what games they are, it probably won't help me. I would like to get Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Gestures, Scattergories and any other party type games, although a few may not be considered board games.

  9. Does anyone know anything about this? I thought maybe someone would know something like this from last year? Sorry, this is my first BF:gd_not_ri

Also, can we still access the ads from last year?
