my sister was always like why dont you spend more on my kids? i didnt have the money to spend what i ewwanted on my own.then she said i had to pay for most of the dinner as she couldn t furnish the whole dinner cause her family was bigger. i just dropped them altogether. i figure if family cant come together and have the holidays a fun time instead of a hateful time why bother with them

maybe some of those mind games like the wood with holes and golf tees you try to jump over and in the end if you have only 1 left you win stuff like that help with memory too i'm just sayin cause i have been out of school over 30 years and the very basic math i had to relearn like they say if you dont use it you lose it..

i usually make this every year even the ones that dont especially like pumpkin love this FROZEN PUMPKIN PIE 2 (3 1/2 oz.) pkgs. instant vanilla pudding and pie filling 1 1/3 c. cold milk 16 oz. can pumpkin 1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice 8 oz. frozen whipped topping thawed 9 inch pie shell, baked, cooled Whipped cream for garnish, optional Prepare filling mix using only 1 1/3 cup milk; blend in pumpkin, spice and whipped topping. Spoon into shell and freeze until firm, at least 4 hours. Garnish with whipped cream and let stand 20 minutes before serving. A good alternative to the traditional pumpkin pie. i always make homemade cranberry sauce even tho i m the only one eating it i cook according to directions, bag of fresh cranberries and i think 1 or 2 cups of sugar. boil for 5 minutes. sometimes i add chopped pecans and apples to it. i have also added onions to it.

the supervisors i would keep it at $20 each or whatever price, keep theirs the same. the 2 that just started i would keep it as low as possible. maybe get them the big box of chocolate covered pretzels at bed bath beyond or a little coffee basket sort of thing if they drink coffee or tea whatever. being as tho they just started working there they know that nobody knows them well so a food gift is fine.i think they will be thrilled that someone thought of them enough to get them a present
-
i would get the ornament with SIL name on it too.and even if she isnt going to be there i would still hang her stocking up maybe just a few candies in it just so it doesnt look bare.maybe put in the stocking a gift card and after christmas you can mail it to her.just so there is something in her stocking will make the holiday more bearable i think
