As a teacher I agree that I have enough teacher ornaments and dust collectors. I really enjoy anything that I don't have to work at to use. Gift cards are great and so are coffees, movie rentals, etc. I have actually given the cookies in a jar but the recipient still has to work to bake them.

You have to check all of the adds and contact stores before hand to see if they will match competitors prices.(This cuts down on driving) It is also a good idea to see if you can buy items online. This also saves you money on gas. Make a plan and make sure to take your adds with you.

I am having lots of trouble this year my boys are 9 and 12. They are to old for a lot of toys but too young for just clothes. I'm tired of getting them video game and computer stuff. I would love it if someone would come up with same innovative "outdoors" stuff for tweeners.
