  2. I want to thank you again too Eve! Just know that it is not your fault when someone doesn't follow through! It sucks but I know you do everything you can to try and make sure we don't have people participate who are going to not follow through. I really enjoyed it again and can't wait until the Summer one!!! Thanks again to my SS (Jareice, lol). She tried to hide the address but the post office stamped Mobile,AL all over the box, lmao. She is one of the best SS to get and I wouldn't be mad if she got my name for the summer one,ROFL!! Thanks again for all the thought you put into your gifts for all of us! I thought my exMIL was going to die when she had to return yet another gift she bought me,lmao. She bought me the fur lined fake crocs which I bought on black friday then she bought me a digital photo keychain and had to return it too, lmao! Everyone who comes to my house plays with that arrow/puzzle thing you got DS13. I need to find the other ones in the series!! I will seriously have to post a pic of it. I wish I would have gotten a pic of everything together but I was just too excited to open everything, lmao.

    Imposing MIL

I hate my MIL,lol. Strong word and I use it next to never but she definitely is a witch. She doesn't even acknowledge my older 3 kids' bdays or give them even a card! Her son & I have one DS together and she buys him cheap $5 toys for each holiday meanwhile she invited us to DH 1st kids bday who we do not see at all and bought him a Nintendo DS and games! I blew up. I hate this woman, I try for DH sake but I can't stand my kids not being treated equally. I do know what you mean though as far as not wanting someone there all the time when family is in you hardly see! We have had a few people who just wouldn't leave when we got company and it is a real pain. So I don't think you have the worst MIL especially if she atleast cares about your son. I would have your DH deal with her somehow, it's his mom so he should be able to handle her somehow and still have her involved. Then again men seem to not like confrontation, lol. If my mom is annoying at all I let her know, lmao. Hey, it's better than secretly steaming and being annoyed!lol
  4. It is a cute store too, lol. I will have to get some pics sometime of the outside. It is kind of a "redneck" style wording all over the outside with misspellings but the inside has very nice decorations and a sporting goods type dept. I just looked it up and it is actually "Unkel Joe's Woodshed" and there are many more locations! They sell the best candles, I think they are called Swan's Creek?
  5. Happy Hanukkah! http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd1/cmts/images/hanukkah/peace-hanukkah.gif
  6. I love the Santa Clause movies! (That is my vote btw, lol)
  7. They were 4 for $10 at AC Moore the other day. I use to like candles but I can never find any that smell really good while burning so now I have been doing the wax/tarts! They have them at AC Moore cheap($1 or less) and our local store called 'Unkle Joe's Woodshed' for $0.88. They smell so good almost instantly.
  8. I have bought several food items from Amazon.com and they have all tasted fine!

  10. $37.33 at Sam's Club is the cheapest right now. Of course you have to have a membership or know someone with one!
  11. Actually this was all I wondered, lol. I thought you still put stuff out for Santa, which is why I was so confused! Thanks for explaining it! A snack would be great when doing all that work putting thing out under the tree. As much as I love the whole Santa thing and would never do it differently, I do envy you. It is so much work to hide so much stuff and waiting until the kids are asleep and being up from 2am-4am arranging and putting bows on things....it is so much work and I have been doing it for 13 yrs. I am tired and still have a good 5 years or more left! I do get where you are coming from and I don't feel like your kids are getting "ripped off" not experiencing the same things my kids do, I only had a problem with it being considered "lying" to your kids to do Santa(which was never your point I know!). Thanks for the explanation and I hope you weren't offended. BTW, I couldn't lie to DS4(now 5) and tell him the Disney characters were real when he asked, lol. I did say they were people dressed up when he asked but he seemed to forget about that and would talk excitedly as though they were real and I didn't correct him. I also tell him store Santa's and Easter Bunny's aren't real and I feel like a mean mom doing it. I think the whole thing is I 'feel' that Santa is real so I have no problem with Santa bringing the gifts, lol.
  12. Are there still some who haven't shipped Eve? Maybe you can match some elves up that are closest to the people waiting so they can get their gifts quickly. It is a shame this happens at all.

  14. My DD9 has DDR for the Wii & she loves it. She usually has it on the beginner one but is starting to be able to move to the next level. I got mine by watching the price on Amazon.com daily. I paid $39.99 for the bundle but it is usually $69.99.
  15. Ummmm.....me too, lmao I ordered 2 of whatever they are for $1.59 shipped! Thanks so much Patty! lmao
  16. Yep, unless I want to drive 30 some miles, lol. I am usually there every day and they don't have the stuff they have online, lol.
  17. Thank you!! I bought DD9 about 5 shirts for $4.00 each! Long sleeve LEI ones! I got a pair of hulk jammies for $3.00 and got D12 some nighties, shirts & bra's for $3-$4 each!
  18. I wondered the same thing but was afraid to ask, lol. If you don't mind sharing, why & do you eat it/drink it or throw it out in the morning?
  19. We have this and the adults play with it too, lol. mMy DS13 has so much he forgets what he has other wise I think he'd mess with it more, lol. It is well worth over $50.
  20. Now I have a decision to make! My DD12 wants a PS3 instead of a laptop....aren't PS3 games mostly geared towards guys/boys? I seen Singstar and thats it but we have them for the PS2,lol.
  21. Okay, you said it way better but this is what I meant, lmao. I was irritated at the thought that one of my young children might ask "someone who doesn't lie" (like that exists) if Santa was real and they'd crush the childhood magic by saying no, so I may not have got my point across, lol. We don't go to church and although we do 'believe' in God (because what's the other choice?) my kids wouldn't go around telling people God didn't exist. If a small child believes in Santa and that is their family's belief, I'm sure you won't go to Hell for playing along if you were asked the question.
  22. I made DS13 write a note even, lmao. My whole family was just so into the holidays & Santa and I loved growing up that way so I want my kids to experience the same thing. DS13 is the only one who knows.
  23. I think that Santa is a fun thing for kids to believe in and I think it is a bit much to call it lying. I would say it is more like "playing along" and I would be beyond ticked if someone ruined my child's belief in Santa because they didn't want to lie. I loved believing in Santa and watching the sky on Christmas Eve. The fun and excitement was great and I remember how bummed out & upset I was when I did find out at age 12 that he wasn't real, not that I was lied to. To each his own but from someone who believed, I can tell you it was a very magical thing and I enjoy my children experiencing the same thing. Do your kids tell people they are ugly or fat if they ask, just so not to "lie" to them? I consider this the same thing, it is out of consideration for others.
  24. Silly putty!! LMAO Have you ever played with silly putty?? I love that stuff and it is not messy. The only way it could get in your carpet is if someone stepped on it and ground it in with their foot, lol. My kids like to stretch it, blow in it, then pop it. I am so getting this stuff for the kids, I forgot all about it!
  25. Yes! lol Atleast 3 I know for sure,lmao!
