  1. Well, no matter what you decide get a warranty. Warranties are almost a neccessity for laptops, because they cover battery replacement, screen, etc. A two year plan from CC will probably cost about 140, 150. They have very good coverage and support for it, but no accidental. It's your chocie.
  2. It's funny; Most people I know have either gotten the best Customer service of thier life at CC or the worst. I think it must be certain locations that are good or bad.
  3. Yeah...The CSA's at the Circuit City where I work are usually told to be very strict about our policies, but if there is ever a slight question over the online price, sales price etc. get the manager and they usually do a quick price change.
  4. Woot, i got the laptop. very sweet, nice specs for 500 bucks, plus the printer is a canon all-in-one (fairly good quality). A great buy for anyone who didn't want to spend 6 hours freezing black friday for a laptop with teh same specs (but better printer) for 100 bucks more.
  5. The Open Box stuff at the Circuit City where I work is usually cleaned and tested to make sure it works. The discount varies based on cosmetic damage of the product and the time it was out for. I have seen some digital cameras open-boxed for 150 dollars off (they were scratched up) and a laptop open-boxed for 30 dollars off (the customer did not even turn it on. he just took it out to look at it). For the most part, the open-box items are a pretty good deal, and the carry the same manufacturers warranty. As for the 15% restocking fee, you guys are correct. My manager told me it is to prevent people from "renting" from us, and althought htis is mainly for tv's and stereo's there are some people who "rent" computers for school or whatever.
