  1. Ok here is my BB Price Matching conundrum... I want the TOM-TOM 720 GPS HHGregg has. But I want to get it from BB via pricematch. 1st problem... I don't have a HHGregg local. 2nd problem... Since HHGregg isn't local, I wont get a HHGregg ad to have BB price match. I guess I could check to see if HHGregg is offering it online and purchase it that way, but I wouldn't get to use my 75.00 dollars in rewardzone cash
  2. This is the Thanksgiving Day ad right? I double-checked to make sure the Black Friday ad wasnt included with the scans and it doesnt appear to be. Still some good toys prices.
  3. This would explain BB's cryptic denial of the pricematch I tried on the Panny Plasma that is available @ CC on the gottadeal homepage. The Home Theatre associate flat out denied it. I asked for the Manager and he flat out denied it as well. I asked them just to PM the 1299 price (I wanted my Reward points) and they still said no. I asked repeatedly about the reason and they kept making up completely lame excuses. I mean thier excuses were equal to "its Monday and we dont pricematch on Monday. Sorry" It was so frustrating...
  4. I say go for it brother. I'll agree this topic is way overdiscussed and the ad clearly states that chains arent "supposed" to PM... W/ that being said, I've noticed that no one is suggesting people try it if they feel they have a legitimate chance to get it done. I think its due to the feeling "If I have to wait in line for hours so should you". No one likes to hear about someone else "working the system". Good luck! I hope it works out.
  5. I gotta agree...Give it a shot...If it doesnt work return the TV and get a full refund. The difficulty for the buyer, is lugging the tv around. I think we all agree that BB "says" they wont price match. I even think its safe to say that we all agree that 99% of the BB stores "wont" pricematch. But if you dont absolutely, positively need something like me. (my TVs work fine, I would like a new one... But not at the cost of waiting in sub-freezing temps for hours) Try to do the pricematch. Give it shot, see what happens... Just remember not to open the box so they dont stick you w/ a "restocking fee". What BB should do is the week before offer a mid-point price on the higher ticket items... IE 42 Westinghouse $1150 32 Westinghouse $ 589 That would cure my need to attempt the pricematch.
  6. I have one question and a couple of thoughts. 1. Is there a restocking fee? This would totally kill this idea if it was like 10% or something. I would have to believe that if you brought a tv back and there wasnt a restocking fee, I would expect this would become a manager based decision should the return be denied by the return cashier. I would doubt the manager would risk accepting the return and have to restock the TV as an "Open Box Item" at a reduced selling price. In past expierences, BB pulled a quite a bit of stock off the floor to avoid having to make these decisions.
  7. Totally agree. I think its a lure as well. Hopefully people dont confuse this with the Westinghouse LVM-42w2. You can see the BF early bird 42 Westinghouse on the BB site. It has a nice "New!" on the initial BB page. I would be leary about this model. No reviews... etc. I have the 32 inch version of the Westinghouse (LTV-32w1) and price to performance ratio when purchased last year was fantastic. Its a great box, and its a Westinghouse, but like with any other company, not all products that hit stores are top notch items. Hopefully this will get a quality, professional review before BF. On a seperate note I purchased the 22 inch Westinghouse LCD computer monitor for much more then the 199 offering for BF and it to is a quality piece.
  8. Does anyone know when and where (ABC, CBS, NBC) the holiday specials will air... The important ones are the Peanuts specials, but if you know of any others already... Start postin' times and networks.

    Compaq Laptop BB

Did anyone see the laptop in BB's sunday add 450.00 after 300 MIB? It was a compaq presario v2000 series. I am not sure of the exact model...Pretty much standard fare spec wise. Similiar to the BF deals only its got a 14 inch widescreen instead of 15. It also doesnt have the ATI graphics chip. I was looking at picking up an inexpensive laptop and when I checked it out, it looked good to me. But I wanted to get others opinions on it. I also asked about the MIB and the dept manager said it was a BB rebate that I could turn in online. She then, out of the blue, called CS and found out that the rebate center has a 2-3 week turn around currently. She couldnt promise anything... But 2-3 weeks is a whole lot better then 6-8. I was impressed that she went that little extra step.
  10. You're exactly right... Just got done calling walmarts in and around the surrounding cities. Everyone (5) of them had the same answer... Viore. Whew... There is one less thing to worry about. Glad this was cleared up.
  11. So... How exactly is one to know if the Plasma @ WM is going to be the Magnavox? I understand they sell it on thier website... but that doesnt mean much. Target sells a bunch of stuff online that you would never see in the store. The picture is similiar to the Mag... but is also dissimiliar in a couple ways as well. I've been to both the superwalmart and the regular WM in town and havent seen a single Mag around. I know I sound like a scrooge, but if this is truly the tv they are selling I would leave work to get in line right this second. I just dont want to get bamboozeledat 5:00 A.M. Friday morning. Someone convince me.
  12. Regarding the 32 Westinghouse @ BB... Were the Customer Appreciation coupons those the ones you recieved the 11th-14th which are good till tomorrow? I want to pick this tv up tomorrow, but I am worried I will get a hassle because my coupons say "Markdowns taken from regular prices" on the back. I would like the extra 12% off. 100 bucks is a decent chunk of change...Thanks for any advice you can offer.
  13. The HD Magnavox @ BB isnt a doorbuster in the ad so it isnt something you should need a ticket for correct? I still plan on getting thier early but this should be an item that "should" be available w/o a ticket.
  14. I checked out the Magnavox 42 Plasma @ BB and was pretty impressed. When I first saw it, I was skeptical but the BB I was at had all the flat panels set up in isles, so the furthest I could stand was literally 2 feet away from the screen. I asked the guy if there was a way he could demo it for me and he spent the next 45 minutes isolating it to Satellite Cable service, prog. scan DVD, and upscaling/HD DVD. I also tried to check out the 999 edtv plasma but they already pulled the display. The sales guy told me it was going to be one of thier thanksgiving specials, but wouldnt go any further then that. It looks like the 1499 price is after a 300 MIB, which is frustrating... but still worth it. The other thing is, it isnt a door buster. So I am guessing I wont have to wait in line for it. Should I be concerned about availability?
