Last year they had several deals, I remember Target did a $50 giftcard, I actually got one for around $207 with discounts then a $50 GC. Well my daughter said she wasn't interested in a Touch, she liked her other one so my son bought it LOL And now it shows up on her list and I can't replicate the fantastic deal, my son had an 8GB so it wasn't as important for him to upgrade as he getting one all together. Sometimes I could kick them LOL Of course, she doesn't remember me asking her about 10 times if she was sure that I would save it for Christmas LOL

I ask for list if its needed, my parents give money so I don't have a problem with that. When the kids were little, my mom would give me money prior to christmas and I would buy the gifts, wrap and put their names on it and tell them what I bought (I usually do a better job of making the $ stretch) and they were pleased. The kids are teens so they like money and giftcards. I like giftcards as long its to a store I buy from. I also like money, I don't see a problem with it. We have a small family so we communicate what we are buying etc
