Well I disagree that clearance only benefits consumers. If that was so and the store lost so much money, they would curtain their ordering so they didn't have inventory left over. I believe its a marketing strategy to get shoppers in after holidays to continue shopping, I know if I am there, I probably will do other shopping as well. Also, I see clearance sales advertise all over the place. Right now, Home Depot has on their website advertisement for 75% off clearance holiday items. Same as most other stores we have seen, Target doesn't run ads per say for their holiday and toy clearance but I have seen signs hanging in their stores before for clearance and Walmart is advertising clearance on TV. I was just thinking out loud of ways that employees don't feel so swamped and shoppers don't feel compelled to stand there and bug them. There are alot of stores that do restocking, rearranging etc before or after store hours.....

Would they allow a return without receipt for a replacement one (tell them it was a gift). Just a thought, no one shoot me, but Walmart's return policy is fairly liberal, you could take it back, tell them it was a gift and just opened it and doesn't work, they would do a return without receipt (giftcard) or probably a replacement. Also Nintendo is very good about their products, you can call them, manufactorer's warranty

On clearances such as the toys which bring in alot of people (Christmas probably does too), it would seem that they could bring in a team either abit early that morning or stay alittle late after closing to do the mark downs, so that it benefits all. The employees aren't rushed or bothered and the customers are happy because they come in and its done. Those are the days the team goes home early because they were in early. I wouldn't think it would take more than an hour if they weren't bothered, maybe even an half hour depending on how much etc? I know there were a few ladies shopping, I was just looking (for me Barbies, none to be found, I was sad I didn't find a Holiday Barbie but really didn't see them after Christmas even at 30%) yesterday and there were about 4 Target team members marking, though most was done when I got there at noon. I talked with one fella and ours still had 50% and he was laughing because they just put up the signs but when they were scanning, it was 70% and they hadn't changed the signs yet. It was not rushed and there were gaps so people had been in that morning. There were even a few lego sets left....I have two teens so no more toys and I am not doing toys for tots anymore (we didn't get boxes this year so not sure if they pulled out of our area or what happened)

does bath and bodyworks do a sale higher than 75%?

were the men's boxers with christmas items? All I saw were sleep shorts, my son likes boxers but I didn't look over in mens....

90% off here, lots of people (not like other areas), the three light sets I saw yesterday were gone (no surprise) but got my 32 boughs of garland that I need for our fence, I was the only one with garland LOL, did find a couple of other things like the scissors (thank you for the barcode beginning numbers, it was in the back of the rack, lots, I got 4) they rang up .50, got some tower boxes with popcorn etc in them, I am using them for homemade goodies next year since they stack, thought they were cute. Dog Biscuit kits and Pancake batter kits, that was about it that I was interested in (besides things that were already gone). Missed out, someone got my snowflakes that attach to the windows....

LOL well that might be why they wouldn't scan in, LOL she just gave me the discount anyway

ok still 70% off, really don't think we have the scotch tape or scissors, I found the ones that are red and teal but they are $5, no sticker on barcode.....we still have three or four aisle full of stuff I did get 2 of the lysol no touch dispensers, they were $6.98 - $5 so $1.98 for two soaps and dispenser. Also got Smith and Hawken amaryllis bulbs for $2.98, they should come out about Valentines day and they are red....

anything special on the packaging t help us, I looked at the tape yesterday and nothing really stood out....

70% here, disappointed though lots of stuff, only thing I am after is the garland and the snowflakes that you attach to windows and light up.....

what do the food and paper products have on them that might make them stand out as holiday versus normal.....

mine have always taken a minimum of two weeks, sometimes they are not processed for 4-5 days, it might be where our distribution center is?????

I know really, sometimes I forget what I ordered its so late....well good for them but wow, they should do that all of the holiday season, people might order more

ok I am curious, if you order on Dec 20th, how are they getting it there by the 24th when I ordered some things two weeks ago and they are still not here....hmmm and they say standard delivery

LOL I am always pulling mine back from my husband's side. I like to smush it under my head (I have a shoulder injury from a car accident long ago and the pillow is able to mold under the head/shoulder so I don't ache in the morning) I love feather mattresses but they are always flat it seems LOL

well slightly off the KIDS ones, my husband is actually mad at me because as I was pushing the Keurig (in box) around the kitchen floor to get it out of my way until I set it up, he tells me he wants it for his Christmas gift, I tell him no, that its a kitchen appliance and not his gift plus I want to get it set up now before the holidays so we can use it. Its to replace the leaking Senseo we have, not a present. He only drinks coffee on the weekend so not like he's a coffee aficionado, he is doing it because he doesn't have anything on his list for me and I keep bugging him to come up with some things. He collects beer cans but I can't buy those for him and have gone through the whole list of tools, music, beer accessories, etc and he says nothing. Ok, mad in that he isn't talking to me, I swear if I could give him a V-8 smack to the head sometimes I would, its like REALLY, you are upset because I don't want to give you a gift that really to him wouldn't be a gift so that you don't actually have to think......It would be like getting me a mop for christmas (we have a houseful of carpet no bare floors), no meaning. I actually am fustrated to the point of just saying I have had enough, everyone expects me to do everything (all the baking, buying, wrapping, cleaning, cooking, decorating) and when I ask for help I actually get an attitude or anger about it. Ok so back on point, my son ask for a Jedi Robe (its like a bathrobe but looks like the Jedi cloak LOL) its like $80 or so buck and has to come from Europe....
