  1. Normally, we put up decorations on Thanksgiving, but I think we are going to start decorating a week earlier this year. The last couple of years, we didn't feel like decorating on Thanksgiving, then we were so busy we didn't have the time to devote to it. So decorations didn't get put up at all.
  2. Unless we plan on going to Best Buy, we are normally out of the house by 3 or 4 am, and usually make it home by 1 pm. Most years, we take a nap and then go out for more shopping (non-doorbuster items and items that don't sell out quickly). Normally, I don't get any sleep on Thanksgiving night, so if I don't get that nap in the afternoon on BF, you don't want to be around me :fryingpan.
  3. Seriously, I bet 9 out of 10 people would LOVE shopping on BF if they'd just give it a shot! I mean, yeah it seems crazy looking in from the outside, but once you experience that rush, that excitement, the thrill of the chase, you can't imagine NOT going out on BF.

I think that would depend on whether or not those 9 people liked to shop. I've found that most people that like to shop enjoy BF, but for those that don't it's just too much stress to be around the crowds especially that early in the morning. I have a friend who hates to shop. Never cares to find a bargain, just prefers to wait until he needs something and runs to the first store he can find to get it or buys it online. For him, BF would be a nightmare. But his wife on the other really likes to shop, and thanks to me and my DH is becoming quite the bargain hunter. She went with us last year on BF for the first time and had the time of her life. She's already asked to come along this year. So I really do think it just depends on your take on shopping.

  4. Got the shirts today....and I think they are great!! The quality and the size were just what I was looking for. I have purchased a few shirts from a new Shirt.xxxx.com and they pale in comparison to these. Plus....your site offers the size that I was looking for(not many shirt sites go up far enough). Also I did not have to wait on "snail mail " to get them. Once again....Gottadeal has not let me down! Love the shirts and the site...KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! :g_thumble

I will be looking for future Gottadeal items to purchase in the future.....;)

I agree with dragonballnutts. I received the t-shirts I ordered yesterday, and I am extremely pleased with them. Thanks Brad!

  5. Almost relating to the topic, I happen to be only 16 and this is my second year shopping on black friday. I might be going alone on Thanksgiving night to get some doorbusters but would the workers there hand me vouchers or would they think i'm just someone's kid to get another set of vouchers because unfortunately, my dad doesn't wish to be out in the cold?

Whether or not you can get the tickets for the doorbusters depends on the store's manager. What I would do is call the store(s) you plan on camping out at and ask the manager if you can get them by yourself or do you need to have an adult present.

  6. Hopefully this year my DH and I will be taking a friend with us BF shopping. She told me a couple of days ago that she was looking foward to going, but she's said that before and backed out at the last minute. Maybe this year will be different, she was on the phone with her mother the other day and her mother hinted around about coming to visit on Thanksgiving weekend. My friend informed her mother that she couldn't come because she won't be home on BF, she will be out shopping with us :tongue1:.
