  1. I thought all hope was lost, and then I saw FATAL ERROR on Gottadeal and almost gave up.  However if I learned anything from watching Rudy 800 times its that you gotta keep trying.

I finally got my order placed for a laptop after 3 hours.  Now hoping it goes through because the one I'm on is on its last legs.  So I guess its time to get some sleep.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

  2. Got a couple things I wanted.  Noticed that The Lion King was the same price as it was in the Best Buy ad so I got it.  Luckily I had a gift card that covered it.  That was a pretty smooth transaction overall.  Now I might head to my local store Friday afternoon to look for leftover DVD's and maybe some of the Mason Jars.

  3. I haven't seen one yet, but I would imagine they will post it on their site or Flipp later today or tomorrow since they have like 4 ads out right now all ending today and they are closed Thanksgiving.  They always seem to wait until the last minute.

  4. Okc downtown has a parade and part is on the river.

Nice.  That reminds me of the river parade in San Antonio I saw on TV a few years ago.  It was awesome, and made me want to go see it.  The next year or two they cancelled it, but I'm not sure if they ever brought it back or not.

  5. Does anyone go to any Thanksgiving or Christmas parades?  My town of about 800 has a Christmas parade about two weeks before Christmas, but it lasts like 10 minutes.  I was just curious if and where you go for parades, and what is you favorite places to go.

I've always wanted to go to New York to the Macy's Day Parade, but doubt I ever will.  I was very close to attending the St. Louis Holiday Parade a few years ago while my sister was in the hospital for chemo, but luckily she was released the night before so we didn't have to deal with traffic.

  6. My biggest pet peeve isn't so much children, but people who bring babies with them.  It's dangerous and its just wrong in my opinion.

As for online, my biggest pet peeve is ordering from Gamestop.  It seems every year I would have to contact customer service for one reason or another.  That stopped as I stopped playing games as much, but last year Best Buy took their place.

  7. Since I moved this year all I'm putting up is a wreath (if I find it in time), and some wood cutouts of Santa and two reindeer.  Not much room at the housing complex I'm at, so most of my other decorations are in storage.  If I had the room I'd put up a couple inflatables one being my favorite- Bumble from Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer.

EDIT: I just realized the Santa cutout I mentioned is the same one I have in my profile pic.  It's about 20 years old I'd imagine as its been a long time since that photo was taken.

  8. Ya I have an order from BestBuy purchased within minutes of the item going up for sale that's still in Pending so none of them are a sure thing.

A couple years ago I had an order cancelled by Best Buy after 4 days, after that I don't rely on them for Black Friday.

As for the original poster, it seems odd that nothing has been shipped yet, but it happens.  I placed an order on Saturday I believe and all the items have shipped, but as long as they are still processing, there is a chance.  Maybe in a few hours if nothing changes, maybe you could contact them.

  9. I hope I'm not done shopping, but finally got an order placed on Walmart's site.  It took two days for my Saving Catchers card to load so I was worried I was SOL on deals, but I really just wanted the Roku Express Plus, and after a few tries of sellouts, I finally got one.  The rest I got wasn't advertised deals, but I also got a wireless keyboard/mouse for not much more than just the mouse was selling for.  I also got a couple household items, and Saints Row 4 National Treasure Edition for the 360 for 11 bucks.  I was happy but wish they had some of the cheap movies on their site.  Now I might see what's left on Amazon and snag a couple deals.  Tomorrow I might have to make a trip to Walmart and see if they have any leftovers.  Again no big deal if they don't but I would like to get a couple movies.

  10. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought they closed all their stores.  I knew the one close to me closed, but that wasn't a big shock, they was the size of a bathroom stall and had really odd hours.  I think one year they didn't open on Black Friday until noon.

  11. I'd say those were the best bets on finding out. Unless you actually go to the store itself and ask them.  Some of the smaller places though don't post anything until Monday, so try again then.

I forgot all about Game Xchange though, but I'm not into gaming as much as I used to be.
