  1. I've been using tracfone for about 2 years now. Their csr svce often leaves a lot to be desired, but once the phone is operational, (No Mr. Csr Svce... Sending me out a 4th new Sim card will NOT solve the problem...) they work really well. I'm in Upstate NY and I've gotten service in area's where some of the big guys (Verizon) had a hard time. Good points... The minutes roll over. If you have a 90 minute card and a 200 minute card, you will get 290 minutes (580 with a Double Minutes for life phone). There are lots of bonus codes available to give you even more time. IE Add a 1 year/400 minute card and get 300 bonus minutes. The service days add on to the end of your service. If you have 45 days left and add a new card with 90 days, you will then have 135 service days. There is no additional charges on the days you use the phone. Some prepaids only charge you .10 cents a minute, but there is a 1.00 charge for each day you use the phone. Bad points... Their customer service is the worst. I don't know if it's the language barrier or what, but I dread when I have to call them. I've gone out and bought a new phone rather than deal with them. They seem to use a script and if you ask something that is not on their script, they have NO CLUE what to do and need to 'talk to a supervisor.' If you are only going to use the phone for emergencies, tracfone works great. It's the cheapest because their aircards give you 90 days of service.
  2. What about a gift certificate for a day for just the 2 of you? Lunch and a movie and/or mani/pedi?
  3. Wholesale Clubs usually have a good price throughout the year. We just replaced our son's twin size mattress for 99.00. It was a lot better than the 99 mattress from Boscovs.
  4. I don't know about Epson, but I get my refills for my Brother MFC 210 from www.123inkjets.com. The rates are reasonable and the cartridges worked well in my printer. They usually email coupons for free shipping or 10% off.
  5. If you've got a Walmart nearby, you might try them for the crayons. Our WM had Crayola for .22 cents. Also with the 'freebee's/door busters', I've gone in with my 3 kids and given each of them a couple of dollars and they each purchase the items.
  6. The batteries were on an endcap in the back by electronics/stereo's. They only had the AAA's out. I don't know if there were any other sizes that might have sold already.
  7. ### Duracell 5 2 pack AAA batteries Reg 4.98 50% off Clearance 2.48 Don't know if I did that right. And finally scored on the .69 MM Apple Juice! They had 4 on the shelf and I grabbed 3. I gave 1 to my SIL! The Batteries were a great deal for me. My eldest has T1 Diabetes and his pump uses 2 at a time. The 2 packs will make it a lot easier to organize his supplies for Middle School next year.
  8. The Saratoga Springs store is very slow to mark things down. The few times that I've been in there, I couldn't find ANY clearance!
  9. The Cynthia Rowe stuff was 90% in the Halfmoon NY store. I scored a 9 can cooler for 1.29, 3 Martini Shakers .99 each, a patio table table runner for .99 and some cute little paper baskets for sandwiches or chips for .29. There was no price on the table runner and I pointed out the price of the Martini shaker and the cooler, so the front end supervisor asked me if .99 was OK. Fine with me! I also saw a prepaid cell, maybe a Nokia from Virgin Mobile, marked down to 7.48 from 29.xx.
  10. I was in the Clifton Park, NY Target and they had a bunch of the Archer Farms sauces 50% off. I found a tomato & Basil Bruschetta, Chardonnay Artichoke dip, Spinach Artichoke Dip, sh.itake Mushroom burger topper, a Bratworst marinade, a Kansas City Barbaque sauce and a bunch of others. Don't remember the names, only the ones that I bought!!! They also had some Almay moisturizer 75% off, from 10.xx to 2.xx.
  11. FYE also carried Webkinz around Christmas time. They may still have them. You can also try calling around to local gift shops. The Lil' Kinz Pig may be hard to find since that is the 'Pet of the Month'. I've got 3 kids who collect them, so I've become VERY well versed!
  12. I know the feeling! When I was in my Target last week, the cashier complemented me on my new hairstyle!
  13. Very productive day at the Halfmoon/Clifton Park NY Target! Girls 4-14 Activewear is 75% off. 2 pr Nylon shorts 1.88 from 7.99 Long sleeve Lycra top 1.88 from 8.99 Boys 4-16 hat 50% off -- .98 Mens XXL golf shirt 75% off 3.74 org 14.99 Misses wool blend jacket 11.xx from 44.99 Total with tax 22.56! And a heads up for Boys underwear. My younger son had HUGE growth spurt and went from 7-12 in about a year. Every time I went to buy the next size up of Hanes boys briefs(6/7 pr), the tag on the rack would say 3.89, but it would ring up at 5.xx. They would usually adjust it at the register.
  14. I'd go with Walmart as well. Just tell them that it was a gift and see what happens. If they can't do anything, then try Target. TRU won't take ANYTHING without a receipt, even if it is an even exchange.
