  1. I placed one order for pj's and sleep pants and got them for $12.xx shipped. Then I placed another order for a sweater & 2 tanks and the order page gave me a total of $37.xx. I clicked ok and the confirmation came up with a total of $64.xx!!! I checked my email and got the confirmation at 5:59. So I called customer service and let them know what happend and the guy was so nasty. He argued with me that it was because I used 2 codes and it bumped one off. I said no, it accepted both but it must have bumped it because I clicked right at 6:00. So he cancelled my order and hung up on me!!! I called back, got someone else who looked into it, came back and said that they would reinstate it and once it ships, will manually adjust the credit and give me free shipping!!!! I just hope they do it because I really don't want the items for $64.
  2. My 8 year old bought his own DSi and he chose white - not sure why - but he really doesn't like the color now.
  3. How do you sign up for the 25 days of Christmas from Ulta?
  4. Target for me too: jewelry armoire - 39.99 ipod touch w/$30 gift card - 225 down comforter - 25 down alternative pillow - 4.99 extreme video rocker - 29 play doh - 5.94 andy's toys - 29.99 just dance 2 w/$10 gift card - 39.99 sony blue ray player - 99 $10 gift card for spending $100 - free Grand Total - $498.90
  5. Thanks so much Brad!!! Was anxiously waiting for one of the big ads! A few good deals for me but I need weird stuff this year - the $25 comforter, $13 sheets and $5 pillow since we are moving the little one to a big girl bed. The jewelry armoire for $39.99 looks nicer than the Walmart one for $49 but I'll keep looking for a better deal. The 4gb xbox with the $50 gc is good but we are getting a used one with 2 controllers and 60 gb for $125. Hate giving a used gift but such a better deal. As someone else said, not much for a 2 year old. Already got a deal on Toy Story 3 and found Tag Jr. Toy Story pack for 9.98 after coupon. Just Dance 2 with the $10 gc is the best I have seen so far but just might give that to pop pop to get. Wish I saw a deal on a desk - we need 2!
  6. Turnersville, NJ still has them available today. She said it was a 2 day offer.
  7. Josh - they really can't value it which is why I am so on the fence with it, beside the face to face thing. Sadly, for some reason, my daughter has really outgrown toys except for American Girl dolls which are outrageous in their own right, but my mother-in-law started her on them. I have yet to purchase a single American Girl item. She still plays imaginatively - she and her friend were pretending they were "Twitches" for a number of days. I am not really sure where she heard about the ipod touch as I have a really old ipod nano - probably 1st gen and that is still fine with me. I have boy/girl twins and my son is so much more immature than she is. His Christmas list mainly consists of U-Build it games, an xbox, and lego items. Hers is a desk, ipod touch, jewelry box, beanbag chair and to redo her room. I have no idea what I will do when she actually is a teenager and not just acting like one. My 7 year old nephew has a phone but that is because he was diagnosed about a year ago with juvenile diabetes. That and your reason - broken home, latchkey kids are the exceptions I would make for a phone.
  8. I think it is the music player and camera that she really wants. I asked her what it was about the touch and she said well, it is like going from a DS to a DSI! I was really impressed with her analogy even though it didn't completely answer the question for me. And as for phones, they are pretty good with real electronics, but are always losing our old phones that they play with. I told them they could have phones when they could pay the $10/month on them. Fortunately for me, they never manage to do their jobs so they don't earn all of their allowance!!!
  9. Thanks for the tips. She does go on the internet at home, but very limited sites - club penguin, togetherville, webkinz, and of course browsing the clothes at Justice. But I am not crazy about the face to face stuff. She is getting a netbook from my mother-in-law so we will already have to work on blocking things. She has seen too much on youtube at other kids houses already. She has had a Philips MP3 player for 2 years and done fine with it. She wants a phone but NO WAY - definitely not responsible enough for that - and really no need at her age - she can use the land line all she wants within reason. She is also pretty responsible with her DS & DSI - only occasionally misplacing it around the house. She actually bought the DSi with her own money as did her brother. I hadn't thought about breaking the screen and that worries me too. We will definitely have to rethink this. Her brother is getting an xbox that he has been asking for for the 3rd Christmas now so I really wanted to get her something comparable. Ugh - back to the drawing board!
  10. My daughter is asking for an ipod touch. She will be 9 in March. Is the 2nd generation good enough for her or should I go for the newest version? I was planning on getting her a camera but if she can use the ipod, I won't have to lay out that $$ too. Thanks!
  11. Sorry - just saw that it was the 2nd generation at walmart.
  12. I believe you have to return & rebuy - I don't think they price adjust on clearance items. I got RockBand 2 yesterday for xbox360 for $97.99 too but not sure if I am keeping it.
  13. 1. You put your left wheels in, you put your left wheels out... 2. Camping out for Black Friday is not nearly as fun as when we did it for the Star Wars movies. But at least we can play The Force Unleashed. Maybe next year I'll wear my Bob Fett Costume. 3. Unfortunately folks, due to the recession, we are closing all freestanding stores immediately. Please feel free to shop online at www.bestbuy.com. Thank you for your patronage.
  14. Thinking about getting a 19" for my daughter. My son wound up with the one for the kitchen and she feels left out. Any advice would be appreciated. She is 7 and a half and won't be using it a WHOLE lot but as I said, she feels slighted.
  15. Uh, OK - they came in the Philadelphia Inquirer a few weeks ago - a whole sheet with $3.00 off various new releases and $10.00 off box sets such as the three older Indiana Jones. I was just adding to the original post that they were a good deal since those titles were in the Toys R Us ad.
  16. You don't need to get so upset!!!! I never said I used a Disney coupon - I used coupons printed specifically for Kung Fu Panda and Indiana Jones and sent as an insert in my paper a few weeks back. I am not an idiot and am not trying to defraud anyone.
  17. That stinks! I went today and got Kung Fu Panda 9.99 minus 3.00 coupon and $5.00 gift card - 1.99 for the movie. Indiana Jones 9.99 minus 3.00 coupon - 6.99 for movie Tinkerbelle 9.99 minus 3.00 coupon, 5.00 mail in rebate, and 5.00 gift card - 3.00 surplus!
  18. At the Deptford, NJ Walmart, I got a great deal on Wall-E and Tinkerbell DVDs. Each DVD had a $5.00 Walmart gift card with purchase, I used a $3.00 coupon on each from Disney movie rewards, and a rebate through specially marked packages of Juicy Juice. Grand total for each movie with tax: $8.36 This also works with Prince Caspian and a few others.
  19. Turnersville, NJ marked down toys to 75% today. I scored Harry Potter Scene It for 6.24 gymnastic barbie for 3.87 island princess barbie for 3.87 bratz cloe with camera for 4.97 I only wish I had more $$$ because I passed up so many things!!
