Official One-and-Only "What I Got" / "My BF Experience" Thread
rchristiansen replied to Brad's topic in 2008
I don't go at the crack of dawn anymore. Last year I went I got to our Walmart at 7AM and they still had all of the toys I wanted. So this year I went with my 6 year old daughter at 7AM and it was very pleasant. Not much different than a normal Saturday afternoon at a Walmart. We had a fun Mommy-Daughter shopping morning. We got a few toys for gifts and loaded up on the $2 & $6 DVDs. We then headed to Kohl's and got some a few more toys for gifts as well as our Church's Angel Tree donations. We also took a break to go out for breakfast at Perkins. We walked around Best Buy for a while, picked up a Panera gift card for the teacher and then left a little after 11AM. But then I got home only to read this article! "Strong-arm robbery reported at Delafield Target": http://www.jsonline.com/news/35219914.html YIKES! That's all in the same shopping area where we were shopping all morning! -
I'm looking forward to the Kohl's ad. I've got my 15% off coupon to use that day there. They always seem to have the best deals!
-
I sent my "expression of displeasure" via their feedback form. I suggested that perhaps I shop at Target instead.
-
I just got back from doing some basic shopping at WM tonight and they had everything boxed up in pre-printed boxes that said "Return for Credit" - TONS of Pallets of these boxes were EVERYWHERE. If these boxes were pre-printed, then they KNEW they were going to have left overs.
-
I remember my Wal Mart last year had a bunch of the doorbusters left - even at 8PM. I think they just over-buy.
-
Is it Eastern - 5AM? Or something else. I can't find it. Their site says they are in CA (Pacific time), but their customer service number is Central time. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=542416

Disney Movies go back in the "vault" after a certain time. Only one major animated movie is out for release at any given time like Cinderella, Little Mermaid and Alladin. I'm a Disney Movie Club member and they don't even have them (the major animated ones) available. Your best bet is Ebay. You will most likely have to pay a premium for them, not a discount -- sorry. :)

Got mine today too! However, I just saw on TV that kohl's is having a big 50% off sale tomorrow! Might want to check it out again --- sigh...Kohl's has ALOT of my money right now! :)
-
I'm pretty sure the ones at WM were the plain leapsters, I remember seeing them on clearance a while back. The one I got at Kohl's was the L-Max. I picked it up yesterday and used my 20% off coupon. There were only 3 left - well 2 now that I got one :) Then on BF it's $69.99 without coupons. Still a good deal!
-
Got it - it's in hand now. Lucky me there were only 3 left. --- Good bargains to be had at Kohls through tomorrow with their "kohl's card user discount."
-
Pays to do your research: I just called my local Kohl's. They have it in stock and it's on sale TODAY. I'm bringing in my (hard piece of paper) coupon for 20%, (crossing my fingers for the 30% off scratch off) and geting it for $64 TODAY!
-
Oh yes that 30% off coupon is REALLY a steal! There are some things though that will be better on BF with the 10% off coupon, so I'm glad I have one more day with taht 30% off coupon to plan.
-
RE: Leapster L-MAX on the kohls.com website, I haven't seen it yet. Right now I have a 30% off online coupon, but haven't seen the L-Max or any leapster for that matter. I've never seen it lower than $80 in any store. Plus I have my 10% off coupon so the total price will be only $63 on BF at Kohls. Have you seen it less than $63? Do tell.
-
I've been WAITING to see the L-Max on sale on BF. Kohl's will be my first stop. Do you think I need to be there at 5AM for the L-Max?

Take An Additional 30% Off At Kohls Promo Code
rchristiansen replied to JBorman's topic in Online Hot Deals
This code was AWESOME. I saved $95 last night! There are so many things on sale already and then another 30% - it's great! -
I did last year at Kohl's - I had to bring my daughter (who was three at the time) with me. The people at Kohl's are always so nice. When someone at the check out, saw I had my daughter with me when I entered she let me have her cart. Now it was quite the site to see my daughter riding in the cart holding a griddle and a Nesco roaster hanging off the back!

I'm not an MVC member so I don't get those 15% off coupons. But I called up the credit card customer service yesterday and asked if they'll be sending out any of those 10% off coupons before Thanksgiving. She didn't know, but she was nice and say "I'll just send you one out." Just a tip - maybe you'll get a nice operator and get a free coupon.
-
I set aside about $200. But I did a Discovery Toys party earlier in the year and got a bunch of stuff for free and 1/2 price. Also, I've picked up things along the way and I really shouldn't buy my DD3 any more stuff. So I only spent $145 -- but the retail value is probably more like $300.

I don't know if my WM is still open but they still had MANY things - Care Bears, Cabbage Patch, Bikes, TVs, DVD Pop Culture Game, Barbies, Cinderella Costumes, Video Now, Sleeping Bags, Garth CDs... Burke, VA Walmart...
-
All the BF items are ringing up at the 5-11AM Prices at my Walmart in Burke, VA at 8PM. EVERYTHING....the only thing they didn't have were the hot-item-electronics. Just a note - if you wanted to check it out!
-
I just went to Kohl's: Got: Carlton Card Ornaments for Teachers - 4 of them about $11 each. It wasn't an early bird special, but I figured the "good ones" would sell out fast. 2 Women's Robes - $19.99 1 Man's Robe - $25.00 3 Men's Lounge Pants - $7.99 Each Rival Slow Cooker/3 Divided Sections - $29.99 Griddle - $14.99 Quesadilla Maker - $14.99 Game Tins -
-
Yeah to Kohl's! I couldn't get out super early for anything today, but I went to Kohl's to pick up my requisite small appliances for Mom, Sis, etc... I had to take my DD(3) (I was not exactly sure I wanted to do that). But I simply waited for my stroller shopping cart and a lady was nice enough to give it to me when she was done. The aisles were not crowded with merchandise, it was easy to maneuver with the cart and I got alot of creative gifts - Like the Price is Right DVD Game (How fun!). Then there was a SUPER long line at the check out. But it went FAST. The manager directet traffic and I was out of the line in less than FIVE MINUTES! To top it off now I have another $50 to spend there next week with the Kohl's "Cash"

Did Anyone See The Chaos At A Florida Walmart On CNN
rchristiansen replied to Dust N Bones's topic in 2005
What I don't understand is why people would not just give up and go buy the Dell laptop --- especially if they know about this forum, they should know the deals out there! :) -
I will never again go to Walmart with all the crazy's!!!
rchristiansen replied to Mugglemom's topic in 2005
Good grief! My dad is a former Fire Marshal --- I wonder what he thinks about all this mess. It seems so dangerous to have all the stuff stacked up in the aisles. They'd be better off setting up a tent outiside! Or in the Garden Dept at least! -
I'm getting a message that states: "Online Ordering is Temporarily Unavailable...Come back in a few minutes...Thanks for stopping by. Please check back soon. We apologize for the inconvenience. You can use the links below to learn about in-store specials and more."
