I was one of the mom's that got beat up over a Cabbage Patch kid... only got one and had to daughters... thank goodness Grandma came through on the other! I also looked forward to JcPenney's anual Paddington Bear... still have a few of them.

For the past couple of years - I did online and got the deals the family requested - while they did the shopping and got what I requested... but this year I hope to go out as well as shop online - I guess it really depends on the deals!

When I was dating my 2nd husband – I stored my kids gifts at his place… I went to get them and they wouldn’t fit in my car – so we loaded them in his pick-up truck. My kids big gift that year was a computer that we had tested at my boyfriends house first… when we went to unload the truck at 3 a.m. – there was no keyboard… we found it by 4 a.m. run over in the street (it had fallen off the back of the truck!) Sufficed to say… the kids were not able to play with their new computer on Christmas morning.

I just got off the phone with "Bryan" at TRU Customer Service... NONE of my 16 items ordered on the 4th have shipped... He said the "should" ship today - but he couldn't guarantee it... Then - I pointed out the of the 4 of my items that were canceled the next day - "3" of them were back in stock... he said they could re-ad them to my order - but at the prices they are at NOW (which is WAY higher than the prices I had purchased them at.) - I told him that that made no scense and he went to talk to his supervisor (yeah - right) about it. When he came back - he pointe dout the "fine print" on their site and aid the prices were only good while quantitys lasted) - I pointed out (once more) that 3 of the 4 items were back on their site, and since my order had not shipped yet - it made no scence that they couldn't just ad them in - since they DO HAVE THEM in STOCK... He said - "yeah, but they weren't available when you placed your order..." He said his manager agreed to send them at the price they are NOW with FREE shipping (if they added them to my exisiting order!) - I said NO THANKS and told him I had lost all respect for TRU and would NOT be returning... he said he UNDERSTOOD that! TRU is a JOKE - they can pull anything they want with our orders and justify it with fine print that means NOTHING... they can't be SOLD out if they are in stock and my order is still in their warehouse! I am though with them! (thank you for listening to my rant.) - I wish all of you that ordered from them luck on getting what you ordered!

I placed a big order on the 4th - 4 itmes have been canceled and the other 12 have yet to ship! (However - my CC was charged for ALL items the day I ordered!) I'm not very pleased with TRU right now!

I always do lottery tickets (Got lucky this year and won $100 worth of $1.00 scratch tickets from a local radio station... so no big chunk of money out of my pocket this year on those.) DH is having a Greek food themed stocking this year - he loves to cook and loves Greek Food, so that is this year's theme for him. DD's get CD's and panties and fun stuff and DS's stocking is totally up to Santa. I LOVE stuffing stocking and seeing what all I can jam in them - but always try to make it fun.
