  1. I agree that waiting is the best, especialy if you're looking for a larger screen TV. However, at these sizes (32" or lower) it's debatable how much better 1080p is going to look.
  2. According to this Samsung Guide you'd want a much bigger screen. It says the optimal distance for a 32" screen is 4 to 5' - which seems awfully close to me.
  3. I guess it depends how far you sit from your TV. I'm considering getting it for out bedroom - the TV would sit about 10 ft. away.
  4. Besides, this seems to be the better deal - 2" larger, dual tuners and HDMI
  5. If you read a certain other hot deals site, you'll see droves of people panning Soyo for their handling of rebates. They'll also rip Tigerdirect, so all in all, it's probably not a great combo. I've had decent luck with Soyo motherboards - I know nothing about their TVs
  6. For anyone living in Massachusetts, this weekend is a tax holiday. If you wait until the the weekend to buy this (assuming it's still there), you'll save $52.
  7. I suppose so. My original trilogy set is worth something to me because it's the only way I can see the original release version - I don't have a laserdisc player.
  8. Well don't get rid of your EP IV-VI VHS tapes. VHS and laserdisc are the only formats that have the original versions of the original trilogy.
  9. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (Sorry, I couldn't resist)
  10. Besides, Rossman is too frugal to buy the Axim at the price I want to sell it at...
  11. Sell it on craigslist and you should do well. No fees and less competition. At least that's my plan, except that I want to sell the Axim and keep the MuVo.
  12. I hope you're right about the MuVo, since I ordered this package on Tuesday. The Axim has been shipped, but the other two items are on backorder. BTW, I highly recommend the Axim - it's a solid PDA and the wireless works quite well. I enjoy sitting in my living room being able to check my email :)
  13. I think that one is expired, no?
  14. Thanks man. $10 off is better than nothing :)
  15. If anyone has a 10% off HPshopping.com coupon they'd like to pass along, that would really rock my casbah...
  16. Excellent - I'm going to have to convert one of my Chase cards to this one. One of my chase cards used to be a FirstUSA card - I haven't used it in years. I guess I will now :)
  17. Well, it looks like one of my orders went through, so the coupon seemed to work. As for my computer choice...well... I wasn't actuallying paying, so I figured I'd go for the latest and best...hence the XPS Gen 5. The only thing I'm sacrificing is that I picked a 6800 video card instead of a X800XT. But, I get a $500 rebate instead of a $200 rebate, so it's a wash, especially when video cards drop in price in 6 months.
  18. Yeah... I ordered one on Friday, and got the acknowledgement email right away. But I never got the confirmation email. I called Dell, and they said they had no record of my order. So I tried a couple of times today and didn't even receive the acknowledgement email. Dell, of course has no explanation for this.
  19. Well, I wasn't too concerned about the price. I was told to spend around 3k for this (I am getting reembursed), so I figured i'd get the latest technology, especially since I'll be doing a good deal of signal processing. Also, if I remember correctly, the $300 in extra rebates cancelled out any benefit of getting the 9100. But, I'll check out the 9100 and see what I get. Still, I'd like to know why my orders don't seem to get acknowledged...
  20. 8KH4L626KP46VM Save $300 + Rebates on any Dimension Desktop purchase of $1999 or more. The code seems to work and I can submit my order just fine. I just don't get any acknowledgement email.

  22. I just want to rant about how my order just doesn't seem to be going through. I am frustrated!
  23. Good point. I can deal with pink - just not that much pink.
  24. My wife's (still weird to write that one!) 700 arrived yesterday and I am thoroughly impressed. It really is a sharp piece of equipment. I am, however, waiting for my backordered 7200 RPM drive to show up from Dell so that I can install it. In the mean time, I'm getting the pink notebook sleeve on ebags for the wife. Obviously, I will not be carrying this laptop!
