Maine has a law set in place that Black Friday can not begin before... FRIDAY! I wonder if other states can follow?

Scoping out the flyers a week ahead.... making the list and the MADNESS for sure!! Nothing like it

Ours was a total nightmare!!! I got there about 5:30am and the line was wrapped around the store (which I expected).... they opened the doors and everything went smoothly UNTIL you attempted to go to toys/ electronic section. What chaos that was!!! There were 3 seperate lines in the store which people THOUGHT that lead to the checkouts. One we found out was going in a circle around the store. People were so rude and finally the employees whom had no clue what was going on came out and started merging the lines. It took me 15 minutes to get what I needed and my total time in the store was 2 hours!!! Not sure I'll do this again @ Target!!!! :-(

I usually shop at Wal-mart for BF and head 45 minutes north to the other stores, so I'm not familiar with Targets BF. Do they put the stuff in the right departments? Because our WM doesn't.... the toys are in grocery and so on. When the doors open @ 6 am, I want to be able to find those Hannah Montana dolls :) Any tips or anyone with any clue? LoL

I'll be PMing that Foreman grill @ Wal-Mart on BF! Wal-Mart is the biggest store in my town and around the area for 40 miles. So I love that I can PM there :) Our WM rule is 45 miles for PMing

I live in a small town and the BF sale at Wal-Mart starts @ 5am. I'm usually there by 4:15 to find where my stuff is going to be and get in line. I usually NEVER have a problem getting what I want/need. However, I've never purchased a laptop on BF either!! LOL Then I head up north to Springfield and shop more!!

Seriously? Wow... our population is about 8000 so that's pretty small to me. Anyway, I usually never have that problem.

So, do you have any tips on how to get what you want on BF? I always shop at WM on BF and since we are open 24 hours, there really isn't a "line" just more like a MOB of people standing around to get the item. So I usually make nice with the tallest person or closest person to the item. That way, I can have them reach into the boxes and get what I want :) Last year we had an assembly line of care bears going on. Thank goodness for tall people :)

aaaah, the beauty of living in a small town. I've never had that problem. Usually go about 11am before going to eat and sit around with a full belly making my list :)

The laptops were the only item last year that they ran out of supplies. Everything else you could still get at 12noon. I'm rethinking the whole getting up at 4am thing!!

Mine is always open except Christmas. It's nice being able to stand inside in the warm building waiting for sale items on BF!!

I asked about layaway at my local Walmart and they said NO for BF
