  1. Do you have a Hibbett Sports? They are a pretty expensive store but clearance them out cheaply. Check Ebay and Craigslist.

They are becoming more popular now- they were outlawed in most leagues not very long ago. You can find one pretty much anywhere, but I'd steer clear of Walmart and Target ones.

As far as price, they vary greatly. We got one at Hibbett marked down from $199 to $39, but regular price should run from $70-$500. You might check www.baseballsavings.com Also, you might want to take him into a store to practice swings so that you can gauge what size he needs. Each one is a different length, weight, and power.

  2. I'm having a hard time searching, too. I have FF 3.5.8.

I normally just type in IWG to search the contests and it won't pull anything up. It says there are no results. I know you can filter, but it's only pulling up 2 results. I'm assuming those were opened after the switch.

  3. Real cleats? Do you mean metal ones?

If you do, you should check your league/school and restrictions. There are limits on who can wear them. In our league, you can only wear them from ages 12-16, but in our previous league, they were not allowed.

If you are meaning plastic ones (still real cleats), where to get them depends on the brand you are looking for. We love MC Sports. Endless.com usually has them. We also shop at the Nike and Adidas outlets. We're on an Under Armour kick- the kids love theirs.

  4. In case anyone is still keeping up with this thread, there has been a major issue with Turbo Tax again this year. Thousands of refunds have been delayed. In case you're interested in reading the info: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/computers/intuit_turbotax.html

This happens EVERY year- and doesn't with other softwares. These people have paid ridiculous amounts for the software in order to have their refunds 'lost'.

  5. We are in desperate need of new catcher's gear for our 10-11 year old boys' baseball team. We spend SO much $$ on this team, we are hoping to get the gear for cheap. Does anyone have any ideas on somewhere to get some? Ebay only has a couple of used sets that might work, and the chances of getting them at a decent price are slim.

I would even consider paying shipping if someone has a set they've outgrown.

BTW- I've checked Craigslist, and there is only one set and it's $300. The same set is only $100 at the sporting goods store.
