My kids are 11 & 14, I just set up wireless network for their laptops, put their music on them, some pictures. Just take it out of the box, plug it in & you're good to go. If you have a wireless network in your house, connect to it & you're up & running. I just didn't want to have to mess with putting in security keys, pictures, music, security program & all that other stuff Christmas morning. Now I'm done w/ that & they will be off & running. + I just wanted to check them out & make sure everything was ok.

I ordered 1 Midnight Blue & 1 Pink for my DS & DD on BF. The midnight blue 1 shipped & arrived 1st, the pink 1 2nd. I have opened & checked both & gotten them ready for Christmas morning!! I have been very happy w/ my Dell laptops,this will now make 4. Mine, wife & now kids. I hope everyone receives their orders in time for Christmas

I received an e mail from Dell on 12/9 that the 2 laptops I ordered BF were delayed in production & the 1st would not be shipped til 12/17 & the second 12/21 with free upgrade to 2 day shipping for both. The 1st 1 arrived yesterday & the other shipped yesterday. The original ship dates for both were supposed to be 12/9.

It sounds like your newspapers all had problems inserting the right ad on the right day/inserting the ad at all. Let Wal Mart know, because I can tell you the newspapers will send Wal Mart bills for inserting the ad, & it sounds like Wal Mart didn't get what they paid for.

This makes no sense, All Wal Mart circulars for Black Friday were printed the beginning of November, could not ship from the printer until Wednesday 11/13 & all had to be delivered to the newspapers & mail houses on Thursday 11/14. Wal Mart prints with 4 or 5 different printing companies & prints in 15-20 printing plants. I believe for the Black Friday ad, they printed 92 million circulars. If there was a problem with delivery of your ad, either via newspaper or mail, the problem is with the newpaper or mailhouse, not Wal Mart. I would call or e mail Wal Mart & complain so they can go after the newspaper/mail house responsible for your area.

I saw this on the news tonight & they showed a very heavy police presence outside, @ the doors & in the store. I can't believe the store was reopened.

I have been a vetern Wal Mart shopper for 16 years, including the last 10 @ my local Supercenter. I have seen crazy times but toady seemed more packed than usual. Obviously the economy has caused this environment. I got everything on my list except the Iron Man Blue Ray, that was gone before 5 am. Now I wasn't there for the TV's, blue ray players, computers, etc, but I did get the TV stand (my new 40" Sony I got @ Sears F&F sale, cheaper than any prices today looks awesome on it) & the kids jeans & some toys. I got stuff, my wife got stuff & we were out of there by 520. I went back later around Noon & they didn't have much, a couple of the RCA 42", some of the $4 appliances, some $2 movies, but they were cleaned out.

Got the laptops ordered & Dell fixed the shipping charge problem. I just finished Christmas Shopping for 2 of my kids!!!

Terrible, terrible but I think before everyone passes judgement on WM & their security, maybe we should get the whole story. This terrible story gives the WM bashers the right to make the comments about WM. I would not count the NYDN as a reliable xource & they obviously have been wrong about the pregnant woman. I have shopped BF @ my Super WM since it opened 10 years ago & never witnessed a problem. My WM is organized & secure. Today was probably the biggest crowd I have witnessed. Before I moved here & shopped a Super WM I shopped the regular WM & never saw problems. & the shoppers should not be let off the hook for their actions. Even if police had been there, they may not have been able to stop that mad crowd.

I'm being hit w/ Shipping charges, wth? This is supposed to be free shipping & they're nailing me w/ $50 for 2 laptops, $25 each

I hope they put some better deals up, their ad is not very impressive so far & I was looking to score 2 laptops for DD & DS, not looking to go broke though

Walmart is really heavy into the security of their BF ad, the ad was printed the start of November, but printers could not ship to newspapers/mailhouses until Wednesday 11/12 & all deliveries had to completed Thursday 11/13. Since the story was posted today, I guess CNN got a copy from someone @ a newspaper or mailhouse because there is no way a copy of the ad got out of any of the printing plants that printed the ad. WM had security & employees @ all printing plants that printed their ad.

Looking to score 2 laptops for DD & DS, but was expecting better pricing from Dell. Also was expecting to see more TV's, looking to p/u a 46" or + this year. I hope Brad is right!!!

I purchased an Element 32" LCD HD @ Home Depot's BF sale in 06. This was my 1st HDTV & I didn't want to invest alot of $$$ into something I didn't know much about. This TV has been great for 2 years, no problem. It is a 1080i & watching sports on it is great. I see others saying it's low end, but I have more than been impressed by this TV. I am looking to buy a new 46" Samsung this season & move the Element to the family room, but I would recommend this TV to anyone.

This is the beginning of the end. They appear to be trying a dramatic shakeup, but it will probably not work. The store in York is staying open, but I never really shop there, poor CS & BB usually clobbers them. 1 of the 1st stores in the Baltimore area to open up years ago is on the list, around the corner from my parents house. So long CC as they join the great retailers in the sky.

Blockbuster kicked the tires & sniffed around, but ran away, I guess they didn't like the books & what they saw. They dropped their plans to buy them back in July or August. I'm wondering if they'll make it to Christmas & I think they will have a lot of company in the bankruptcy court this winter.

With the current economic environment, & their terrible financial condition, I think CC may be 1 of many big retailers that all but disappear after this Christmas season.

The Walmart SC here in Shrewsbury, PA is 24x7, they only close 36 hours a year, 6pm Christmas Eve til 6 am December 26th.

I went last year to the store in West York thinking we could pick up the Zune. From what I heard, all the employees grabbed the Zunes b4 the store opened & anything that was left was grabbed by 2 men who grabbed the whole display & told everyone they could buy them from them on eBay in a couple hours. I walked outside, got on my laptop & got 1 online @ TRU. I will never go back to them on BF.
