  1. Can't you also get some kind of internet service via DirecTV? A lot of RVers use satellite TV anyway so that might be another option.
  2. It is OOS online....
  3. I dunno..... maybe they could have policies and procedures that were actually customer friendly. I had trouble getting refunds from them twice, and now I shop at Circuit City where I have never had a problem getting a refund if I needed to. I rarely return items but I don't want to be treated like the stuff stuck to the bottom of your shoe when I do.
  4. They are OOS of the one item I wanted. Is it just me or shouldn't they wait to put up the BF deals on BF?
  5. Do you work for them or something? Their customer service stinks! I don't expect to come here and get the Best Buy cheerleaders!

    Target

They dropped the online prices TWO days early and are already OOS for what I wanted! They SUCK!
  7. I'd tell you to return it but my past experience with them is it is almost impossible to get them to take anything back. I don't buy anything at best buy that is more expensive than a music CD anymore.

    Not Happy

I got laid off on Veteran's day 2 years ago and I am a veteran! I was po'ed at first but I like my current job so much better!
  9. You mean other than charging too much for overhyped speakers? I doubt it.
  10. Last year year I checked online shortly after midnight and found some cheap stuff online. I didn't even hit the long lines last year. We also got lucky by being in Target in August when they clearanced a bunch of Legos to 50% off and bought presents for my son and stuff to use for birthday presents. I must admit I have hidden stuff before. I used to work in retail so I know how to hide it so it will be there when I come back for it. I also remember working in retail and marking stuff down every month. The employees knew when the markdowns were going to happen and got the good deals. Bought a $100 Canon camera for $25 that way many years ago at an Eckerd I worked at. Best part was I got an employee discount off of the $25.
  11. I did this as a kid when I was saving up my allowance for a certain toy I would hide it somewhere in the store so it would be there when I had the money. Some low traffic spots in a store can hold your stuff for a *LONG* time undiscovered. The key is to hide your booty behind things that don't sell much. For example, if you wanted to buy Legos at Kmart buy one get one half off you could go in tomorrow and hide the sets you want behind stuff in say the sporting goods section which will be deserted on BF.
  12. Among those 3 I would get the Canon. I believe if you look at reviews of the 3 the Canon will come out ahead. You might also look at the Target ad -- they have the Fuji E510 for $169 on BF. I have the next step up -- the E550 and it is a great camera. I think Kodak cameras are generally not as good but that is my opinion and yours may differ.
  13. I don't see how you can beat the online service prices -- snapfish is 11 cents a print mailed to you or 19 cents a print picked up at your local Walgreens. I have tried the Walgreens thing since there is one on the way to work it is very convenient. The price doing it via Snapfish is cheaper than if you take the prints into the store!
  14. You have to be careful comparing just by listed MP amounts. Many manufacturers are strecthing the truth with their MP claims. When I was shopping for digital cameras this summer I found some comparisons showing 5MP Kodak camers with a true MP of ~3.5MPs. This is one item where finding in-depth reviews that compare image quality can really help with decision making. DPREVIEW has a good review at: (I would include the link to the article but they won't let me -- just do a google search for "dpreview fuji f10" and it will be the top hit). Their tests show the 6MP Fuji having better resolution than many 7MP and 8MP models. They do a compariosn on resolution with the SD500 and the Fuji has better resolution.
  15. Digital zoom means the computer chip in the camera does the zooming and not the lens. This is really a gimmick feature because you can do a digital zoom on your computer in MS paint by increasing the image size to 200% for 2x zoom. Digital zoom usually degrades the quality of the picture significantly. You are better off not using it. Optical zoom uses the camera lens to zoom, which does not degrade the image. Poor quality lenses may cause some barrel or pincushion distortion but that is getting into jargon a bit much. The quick answer is: Digital zoom = bad (don't use it) Optical zoom = good (although cameras with a big optical zoom are usually bulky)
  16. I would buy the Fuji over the Kodak. I have the next step up Fuji E550 and it is a really great camera! The 550 takes great pictures, is very responsive and has a lot of great features. I think the main difference with the 510 is it is 5.2MP instead of 6.0MP and it has a few less manual controls. The only drawback with the Fuji cameras is the memory cards for them are a little more expensive.
