  1. I think we spend too much on our children, but then again, I do not purchase many toys or wants during the year. It is getting to the point with my older two that I really don't know what to buy them. They seem to have so much and how many game systems or clothes or purses does one child really need? My daughter will be 16 in a few months so I guess she will be asking for a car. I think my reply will be that she can get herself a job as a birthday present for me! That's the only way she's going to be driving is if she can earn some money to help pay for a car and insurance.
  2. I guess I know what I am doing Friday night. My mom is coming in to town tomorrow so I guess I'll drag her along also. We love Kohls!
  3. I'm going to print that out and read it once a day and maybe by the time I can receive some of my sacraments in spring I'll have at least that memorized. My 6 yr old son taught me "Hail Mary." He goes to Catholic school so he learns the prayers and comes home and teaches them to me. It's hard to learn a new religion when your 35.
  4. I would say about 75% cash and about 25% credit cards. Hey isn't that what my tax refund is for. My refund check should just be sent directly to VISA!
  5. Very beautiful, I am emailing this to some of my stressed out friends!
  6. We will be attending the Christmas Eve mass at 6 pm because my children are in the pageant. If I am still awake I may sneak out for the actual midnight mass. I need to attend as many services as I can because I am converting and I just can't seem to memorize the Nicene Creed!

    Best Deodorant

Another Dove user! I swear by every one of their products except for the shampoo and conditioner.
  8. I just picked up the JVC camcorder for $248. There were still a few of those left and some Kodak digital cameras. I was wasn't planning on buying another camcorder but my son is always running off with mine and he's only 14. I just hope he doesn't film any naughty things with it when he's a bit older, I'll kill him.
  9. Thanks spikey, I just read your post and basically spit iced tea all over my monitor from laughing so hard!!! LMAO!!!!
  10. That is just too funny! I never send joke type emails but I am sending this to some friends!
  11. I found a huge stack of the DVD players and the Apex portable DVD players. I picked up a DVD player for my daughter's room and contemplated the Apex portable player. I am still not sure if I am going to be happy with that small of a screen. I didn't even go to WalMart on BF or Target for that matter. Those have been the first two stores I have hit in the past few years. So dissapointed, but I have high hopes for the next few weeks!
  12. I'm hiding my presents in my walk in hall closet. It has a lock on it but I also have a 13 yr old son who can pick a lock faster then I thought possible. So I think the presents are going to be moved to the attic. That might be a pain in the rear to put up there and get back down but I like a little suprise on Christmas! If I wanted him to know what I got for him and his brother and sister I would just give them my Visa and tell them to get what they want!
  13. I encountered such "mob mentality" that I will never line up again for a gift card. I was almost squished trying to get the mall promo today. Thank God I had my huge karaoke box that gave me a little space as people were "herded" in a huge pushing, shoving group to center court and then screamed at by a mall employee to form a single line or no one was getting their certificates. I felt like I was in preschool again.
  14. I am in such need of sleep that I don't think I'll be shopping for at least another week...okay that is a total lie, I'll probably be back out next week while the kiddies are in school. I bought so much stuff today and spent so much money and I feel like I've hardly put a dent in my Christmas list.
  15. Same thing happened at my Sears! I was not waiting at a Sears entrance to get the gift card I was waiting to get a mall promotion gift certificate, 2 tickets to our local hockey team and Chick-fil-A coupons. After I fighted the mob and got my envelope from the mall promo I went down to Sears fully expecting the gift cards to be long gone. I went to the second floor and I saw a large group of people complaining to a few employees. So many people were mad that a manager actually went and got a stack of his business cards and wrote $10 on them. I just went along with the crowd and got a card. My daughter and I really scored at Sears by combining these with our mall gift certificates. The situation with the gift cards seemed to have happened all over the country. Maybe next year they will wise up, but I'm not going to hold my breath!
