What freaking Einstein calls the man's home and talks to his kid? Good grief. At this point I say we just drop the entire issue with Walmart and move on to doing business with companies that respect their customers. Just my 2 cents.
-
Just reinforces why I am not a Walmart shopper and never will be again. Everything else be darned for the pursuit of the almighty $. Walmart does not care about their customers one bit no matter what they say. You are just a number and they figure if a small number get mad and don't shop they will build a new WM where they aren't now and draw in thousands of new customers. They are not a customer focused company at all.

They always have deals on the monitors. Got a 19" on BF in 2005 there.
-
Panasonic is the best brand for Plasmas. For LCD I'd say Samsung or Sony. Sony you're going to pay more. I have a 40" Samsung and love it.
-
krstee couple of things LCD is cheaper generally then Plasma. Up to 42" LCD is best, over that Plasma is best. Generally. No TV channels broadcast in 1080p at this time and may not for some time. The gap between 720p and 1080i to the naked eye is very small. 1080p will only make a huge difference if you have a HD DVD player too.
-
If a SD TV is the only thing you are looking for, then I would not bother with being at a store super early on BF, as there is very little demand, and there may not even be a sale on them. Everyone will be knocking the doors down for some Plasma or LCD deal.

Nice work CC. The banner on that page clearly said in store and online, I go to get one of them online this morning and it's in store only. Now I remember why I don't shop at CC.

Best Buy has that same TV listed for $999 for BF now.
-
For the person asking about the 19" monitor, I went on BF for a monitor last year and they were not handing out tickets for it. Just walk to the area of the store where they normally are and get one asap. I had no reason to go to BB but now the 42" Panasonic has my interest. If you buy the TV that morning do you have to take delivery of it right away? I can't fit that thing in my Accord
-
I don't see the 42" Vizio on their website is it new?
-
It says on the ad coupon price. Is that the amount the coupon will get you off of the price of the item?
-
Ksmitt Circuit City has a 250 external hard drive for $30
-
I have been going to BB on BF for at least 5-6 straight years now but not this year. Nothing in there for me. If they think people are going to flock for a generic brand TV I got news for them. Hopefully Circuit City will have something better. Big disappointment with BB.

Check the Best Buy section on here they rumor to have a 42" LCD for $700 it's Insignia.

How many of you have toys from the past that are coming back?

I still have a ton of my Transformers from the 80s. Wait til the movie comes out next year it will be nuts then. -
CC has always had horrible customer service. I refuse to shop there anymore.
-
Not sure about Staples but last year Best Buy had a 19" LCD for $150.
-
TRU won't last much longer. They were better in the 70s and 80s before Walmart and Target got big. Now those 2 sell most of the same stuff and cheaper and with better return policies. They are losing market share fast.
-
Don't normally shop at Ace but a 30' Strait Line laser level that is normally over $30 for $4.99. That's on my list now
-
My wife and I avoid TRU at all costs. Frankly they don't have anything that Target or Walmart don't have except for a TRU 'exclusive' here and there and we find their customer service to be poor. Our store never has enough register people so lines are long no matter what time you go in.
-
Our HD has this too, must be nationwide.
-
Co-worker's husband got one at BB today. They only got 15 in but people were lined up to get them well before the store opened.
-
Yeah it does come with a flashlight, although I don't remember the BF ad showing the flashlight. And as someone else mentioned you can by other Ryobi 18 volt tools to use with the same battery like a reciprocating saw, etc

Target gets my vote for best place to shop BF this year
jamieva replied to orangedaisy's topic in 2005
Target was probably the best experience because they did not do any doorbusters this year. Doorbusters usually equal pandemonium. -
The ad in the paper said regular price was $69.99, but on homedepot.com it shows $99.99 Talked to a friend of mine tonight that has that drill and flashlight and he said that is a steal. He said the drill is very good quality.
