I know it is after Christmas, but maybe someone needs a good dessert for New Years. I had the most wonderful cookie/treat this weekend! It is very simple too. You take one pack of oreos and crush them until they are super fine. Mix the cookies crumbs with one block of cream cheese. Roll the mixture into balls and place in the fridge to harden/set. Finally, dip the balls into melted WHITE almond bark. You can leave them like this or for more decoration take another color and swirl across the top. OH MY...these things are the best! I heard them called several things, but when I made them I referred to them as White Chocolate Oreo Cheesecake Balls. They are devine. Amie

Really strange request, I know..lol! I came up with this "Time to get your ducks in a row" theme for my 8th graders this next 9 weeks. I would like to get them all a rubber duckie. I received an email from Hancock fabrics yesterday. They have a refurbished Janome 8100 embroidery machine for $799. The ad says that the regular price is $1699.99. What about a movie gift pack? Put a new release movie, some microwave popcorn bags, and a 2 liter drink in a big popcorn bowl. You could even do movie tickets or a pizza gift certificate if you wanted to spend a little more. Amie

You should be able to track it. Go to staples and click on "order status" at the top right of the screen. After you bring your info up you should see "Track This Shipment" under the portion that has your payment info. Click on it and then you will need to click on "Track This Box" on the next page. That should bring up the UPS tracking info. I hope that helps! (mine took 3 days, which is a little longer than usual. Normally it is next day.) Amie

On moving day what about taking over a bag of chips and sandwiches or getting a large pizza from one of the places with the $5 deals? Moving day is so hectic (especially if they are doing it themselves without the help of movers) that it is hard to slow down to eat. Amie

I was buying some ornaments last weekend at Wal-Mart and noticed tons of pink ornaments. Have you looked there yet? My main tree this year is going to be various shades of purple/eggplant, silver, and black/slate grey. I'm still trying to find an embellished black tree skirt. If I don't find one today I guess I will be making one. Amie

Do you have a Sam's Club nearby? I looked everywhere for a new tree this year - Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, Sears, Belks, and a specialty gift store here in town. By far the best tree that I found was at Sam's. I ended up going with a 9ft Peseta Spruce. It has 1200 lights and if one goes out the rest stay lit. It had all of the other prelit trees that I looked at beat by at least 300 lights. It is a beautiful tree. It is very full and has 2 different tips (it has 2,174 tips, by the way). It also came with a storage bag. Another thing that I liked about this tree is that there is a foot switch about 3 feet out from the tree. It makes it very simply to turn the lights off and on. The tree is only $143. It says that the tree is a slim tree, but it is still almost 4 feet wide. Here is a link if you are interested Sam's tree They also had a 7.5ft for around the same price. It was a full tree as opposed to this slim one.

Hi Deborah! Wow...you've got a lot of buying to do! I'm a teacher and I have found that many stores are willing to give you some of the things that you need. Call all of the office supply stores, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc in your area and ask if they will donate ANY of these things in any quantity. If they say no ask them if there is a way for you to purchase more than the allowed amount stated in the ad. I do this every school year for something. Last year it was pocketed folders with prongs. The limit was 10 and they let me buy 300. Sometimes they will and sometimes they won't. It doesn't hurt to ask.

I've had SunRocket since the end of April or first of May. I'm pretty sure that at least one of those links Ross listed told about my thoughts. I absolutely love SunRocket. I have not had a bit of trouble since we got service up and going. I have only had one day where service was down for a little over an hour and that was because Comcast service went out completely due to some technical problem that had to do with extreme heat in our area. Once Comcast came back up so did the phone. My mom tried calling while it was out and then called me on my cell. She and I both got the message that all circuits were busy. The service sounds as good as, if not better, than my old Bellsouth. Oh, and don't worry about not getting the phones. They aren't that great. A duel set of the exact same phone can be purchased at Wal-Mart for $56. Let me know if you have any questions!
