  1. I don't know what it is, but I'm SO leery of pulling the battery out. I've had the phone for about 6 months now and I've never taken the battery cover off. I guess I'm afraid my settings will reset or something. Tell me I'm being ridiculous and I'll take the cover off. Here's a pic of the phone. It says T637. Could there be another model that looks like this, or can I trust that it's a T637? http://www.mobiledia.com/phones/images/sonyericsson/t637.jpg
  2. Okay, to quote outnumbered... This will be my one stupid question of the day. I have a Sony Ericsson phone and I know it has bluetooth, but I don't know what model it is and therefore don't know what accessories to shop for. How do I find the model number?
  3. THIS is SO strange! I click on the link for the Billy bookcase at Ikea and for a split second the price is $59.99 before changing to $79.99. Anyone else seeing this? Edit: Everytime I click "refresh" I see it! WTH?
  4. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/img/v3/07-28-2005.NCC_28ikeaSHOPPER.GIO1LBRV2.1.jpg I guess she wasn't in line as long as I thought. Here's the story: Woman camps outside Ikea for prize Frisco: $2,500 will be hers as long as she stays put for a week 07:32 AM CDT on Thursday, July 28, 2005 By NANCY CHURNIN / The Dallas Morning News FRISCO – The view isn't exactly a serene North Texas lake, unless you count the bright blue paint, but Victoria Carson-Barnes has pitched her tent anyway. LARA SOLT/DMN Victoria Carson-Barnes of Weatherford, ensconced in front of the Ikea store well ahead of its opening next Wednesday, said she plans to furnish her five kids' bedrooms with the $2,500. The 33-year-old mother of five from Weatherford has staked her claim to a $2,500 prize by being first in line for the opening of Ikea, the Swedish furniture store that opens next Wednesday at State Highway 121 and the Dallas North Tollway. "I'm a stay-at-home mom, and I don't have too many opportunities to get $2,500 for furniture," Ms. Carson-Barnes said. She hopes to use the credit to furnish the bedrooms of her kids, who range in age from 6 to 15. "Also, at Ikea, I can stretch that money further than I can anywhere else." She's waiting out the hours in blistering heat and intermittent rain with some degree of comfort, at least: She is reclining in one of the $79 Poäng armchairs awarded to the first 100 people in line. As of Wednesday, she was the only person in line, stepping away for no more than 10 minutes at a time to take bathroom breaks. According to the rules, that's as long as she can leave without losing her place. Official site: Ikea Frisco Ms. Carson-Barnes said she didn't know much about Ikea when she received a catalog in the mail but was immediately impressed by the store's extensive inventory, low prices and opening-day freebies. She and her husband, Clyde, held a family meeting to discuss whether it was worth it. They circled the spot, looking for other campers, hardly daring to believe they could be first. Her husband has helped her manage the wait, Ms. Carson-Barnes said. He set her up with a combination television/DVD player atop a mini refrigerator. He replenishes her food and brings her water and fresh clothes daily. The folks at Ikea also have done what they can to make it more comfortable for her. They gave her a footstool and a T-shirt. Ms. Carson-Barnes said she doesn't mind spending her days and nights in front of Ikea. She considers it a vacation from dishes and laundry. Besides, she added, her kids think it's pretty cool. "My 6-year-old asked me, 'Can I have princess stuff in my bedroom?' They've already figured out how to spend all the money – and then some."
  5. I'm not sure how she did it. I just caught a snipet of the news story one night. She looked like she had a pretty good setup with a comfy chair, tv, cooler, etc.
  6. Here's the official IKEA Frisco Grand Opening Newsletter. The first adult ($2,500 in gift certificates) has been in line for about 3 weeks. There were probably 100 adults and kids in line since last night to get the free chair valued at $99. I can't see any compelling reason to rush out there tonight.
  7. I know where I wish I was right now!! Although, from the looks of the news reports this morning, there is a huge line outside waiting to get in. Having no experience with IKEA stores, what would you recommend - RUSH out there tonight and fight the crowds, or let the buzz die down a few days and visit in a couple of weeks or so. 8. Reminds me of the time I discovered the "green light" and "red flags". I think my exact question was "Is this new or am I crazy?" Learned my lesson, too. :)
  9. 2 questions: When does the sale start? With the upgrades, is this a GREAT deal or just so-so.?
  10. Always a day late.... Saw this 7/12 offer today, 7/13. Saw the 7/11 Slurpee offer on 7/12.
  11. If you need anyone else, I'm always interested in helping out.
  12. I'm afraid I can only answer your first question with any certainty. It's a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan. I don't know how they connect to the monitor. You just pull down the screen, turn on the VCR, put on the headsets and you have audio. There's an on/off switch on the headset, but they automatically turn off when you take them off your head due to some "switch" in the earpiece of the headset. Not sure about extra audio inputs.
  13. We're going on vacation in a couple of weeks and I'd like to get a couple (at least) more headsets for the VCR in the van. We got 2 when we bought the van and the Dodge dealership said they would be $50 each for additional sets. Do I need the exact brand and model of the wireless unit, or will any wireless headset work? Thanks, again, for answering the simple questions.
  14. I still have a couple of unanswered questions. Is there a car charger adapter available? What is the usage life of a rechargable battery?
  15. We have both nearby. I'm a Sam's member, but not Costco. I'll try Sam's. Thanks!
  16. Thanks for the info. I think I'm ready to start shopping around for a unit now.
  17. Second link - Define: Quick Charge. Is there a unit that would hold more? Can you leave the batteries in the unit until you need them? What is the average life (use time and lifetime) of a recharable battery? Thanks!
  18. Please keep in mind I'm a total rechargable battery noob. What is mah? I need batteries (at least 4 AA for the digital camera, but more would be great so the kids could use them in their various hand held games and such) and also the charging unit (not sure what it's called). Do they make units that can charge batteries in the car like for vacation? Thanks!
  19. I can't take it anymore! My digital camera is eating me out of house and home from the cost of batteries - 4 AA. I have a card reader and have begun to lay off the zoom as much and that helped, but still - D@MN! Suggestions? Recommendations? Price range?
  20. This is one sale I can't miss! Last year they were discontinuing some of the Bergamot Coriander products and I cleaned up! Thanks for the info. I didn't realize it started today. I know where I'm heading after work!
  21. Got my T-shirt & pens the end of last week. They look great! Come on Black Friday!!!
  22. Welcome to GottaDeal, EagleEye. Hopefully we can remember to remind each other about this conversation when the next HOT Dell Deals come out.
  23. Thanks a bunch for the info. Ross. Based on your assessment, I think I'll wait. Just don't let me forget I said this when the next Dell deals come out. :)
