  1. As always, thanks for the advise. I thinks he'll end up with one, with or without my assistance. I'm sure it's a long shot, but are there any deals out there for the nano? Where is the best one to pick one up - online or B&M?
  2. I feel like this has been gone over in the past, but for speed sake... Could someone explain (or link me to where it has already been explained) whois guard? Thank you.
  3. Thanks for the replies and my apologies for not being on the board to see them. For the person I'm shopping for, it just might be the name BOSE on the headphones that is the most important part of the headphones. I think the JVC headphones I got are really good and a comparable pair to the Bose, but...
  4. Tony is DS#1 by about 2 mins, making Roger DS#2 and the one wanting the ipod mini. Actually now that the "nano" is out he's thinking he wants that one. I swear that kid can't make up his mind for anything. He's the one that had the PSP for all of a week before taking it back because he just didn't think he was "getting his money's worth". He'll buy a paintball gun and keep it for no longer than 3 or 4 months before upgrading. Of course, that was before they took up dove and deer hunting and he's now sold off all his paintball guns for shotguns and a 30/30...
  5. Are there any domain registration deals out there right now other than the $5 off $30 purchase at godaddy.com? Thanks.
  6. Yes, we're back to this again. I bought the JVCs instead of the Bose and it didn't go over well. Now I need to get the Bose. Any deals out there? TIA.
  7. Brad, Thanks for the advise. We're still in discussions, but once he makes up his mind... Anyway, have you seen any amazon.com coupon code to go with the $179 price they currently have on them? I'll post a new thread as well. Thanks.
  8. DS#2 is looking to buy an ipod mini this weekend. Any deals out there that y'all know of? As always... TIA! Edit: He's looking at the 4G
  9. I order them for the office from officedepot.com Edit: They're called "Tangy Fruit"
  10. Ross, Did you get Beau6183 taken care of? I never heard back.
  11. I was just about to post the exact same message. Let me know if I can help.
  12. Thanks a bunch! I'll check these out in the morning. I've already worked 1.5 hours late today and it takes 1.5 hours to get home.
  13. I can't seem to locate these. (I'm more than a little distracted today.) Do you have a link? I just looked up the Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones. Those things are $300.00! He wouldn't mind paying it, but if I could find him something just as good at a better price I know he would appreciate it. I could also get them using his Amex Rewards Points, but they're 35,000 points! This year he decided to give us 10,000 points for our birthdays for a $100 gift certificate. If I spend 35,000 for the headphones, he'd only have around 40,000 points left and we potentially wouldn't get the gc-s next year.
  14. Need a set asap for the boss. He's partial to Bose, but if any of you guys have recommendations, I'm sure I can sell him on a comparable brand. Thanks!
  15. Isn't it funny that we phrase it this way? I won, not I bought. Nothing I love better than a good bidding war. :)
  16. That sounds pretty cool if it works. ??? Have you ever used one?
  17. What is this exactly? Anyone had any experience with one? Is it portable?
  18. WalMart has it. As a matter of fact, I just bought one over the weekend to clean out my Aunt's computer. It cost about $6 and will last a good while, provided you're not cleaning out a computer that has been sitting in a VERY dusty corner for nearly 3 years and had never had the cover taken off.
  19. FYI - I had the same experience with a 6-changer CD once. It just needed to be cleaned. This may or may not be the problem, but it's worth the cost of canned air to see if that solves the problem.
  20. I ended up going with the 128MB. 256 would have probably been okay, too, but no sense paying for something she won't use even if it is only a few extra dollars. (One of the guys that had put in a review had an older model camera and after 130MB, the 256 card wouldn't accept anymore pics, so that was one of my deciding factors.) Anyway, she got the 128 for $12.53 ($17.xx w/shipping) and she's pleased. Thanks, again, for all your help.
  21. Brad, Thanks so much for the information. I actually did find another site that said something about the 256 being the largest size available or something like that. I'm going to go back to Newegg.com and see what they have. Thanks again!
  22. I'm buying compactflash for my aunt's camera. Newegg has it for $28.99. Is compactflash compactflash, or are there different types. I'd hate to order the wrong thing especially since I'm doing it online. TIA!
  23. I was just looking at this exact seller a few minutes ago. I guess I'll let her look at them and see if she wants one. I'm perfectly happy with the black cover that came with the phone. Funny... I can remember my first cell phone, a really bulky Nokia, and all the accessories I had for it. Now I just stick it in my purse or pocket and forget about it. Guess the novelty wore off fast.
  24. DD#3 has this same phone and I'd like to get her a pink cover if it's available. Being new to the cell phone accessories scene, where should I go?
