Welcome to the community! Since you are from Dallas (I am too) I would try Southwest. You can now fly from Dallas Love to Orlando direct with no changing planes. The Wright Law is almost gone.

I am using Boot Camp. It takes less memory to run. On the Mac Pro's I am installing a 500GB HD in the second HD bay and doing a complete XP Pro install. On the iMacs I am doing a 100BG partion on a 1TB drive and putting XP Pro on it. Most of the software we use have a Mac version so we are happy. The reason we did this big switch is we got a great deal from Apple and Apple computers last longer then PCs. We are looking to get a good 6 years before a major upgrade on the iMacs and longer with the Mac pros since you can put new parts in it at anytime.

I was shown a memo by a store manager at the local BB so that is what I based my info on. The memo had a microsoft letterhead on it. I shall try to get a copy and post it. I have known you can downgrade if you have Ultimate and or Business. My company got a rock bottom deal from Apple and everything is being switched to Apple with Windows XP being installed on the backside. Thanks for the links!

Very true but some people can't stand Vista and in some cases you will spend more in RAM if you stay with Vista. I am just giving the people heads up.

I was just at Best Buy and CompUSA buying copies of XP Pro for some iMacs and Mac Pros that I just got for the office and I was told by the manager at both stores that Microsoft will stop shipping XP to stores in 2 weeks and when they are gone they are gone for good. The manager at BB said that he can't keep XP in stock becuase when people buy new computers they come back 2 weeks later to get XP because they dont like Vista. Just a heads up everyone!

In some states it is unlawful and can be seen as ticket sclaping. Also BB can kick you off of there property for doing this. At my BB last year someone did it and BB called the police and they arrested the person.

The good thing is that projectors have been hot for the past 2 years and I would expect to see them this or next BF. BB and others are getting away from tube TVs and getting into digital.

There might be. No one knows until the AD is leaked. I would think so but dont hold it to me.

While ACE is a good player in hardware I dont see them as a major retailer. I do see BB, CC and WM being more careful and I dont expect to see there ad on here until in Nov and then I expect some last minute deals.

BB is the only major company that does tickets and for the most part it works. Wal Mart can't read anyones minds and if you want to get the ticket system at Wal Mart why dont you write or call them in Bentonville. Welcome to the community! If you want to do BB in NYC I would get there around 10pm on Wednesday. I would bring stuff to surrive the weather. Stuff like a heavy coat and maybe a sleeping bag. The way you should prepare is be active in this community. People like myself will help you by answering all your questions that you may have. Also you want to get a copy of the BF ad early. After each holiday season the big stores will go to the manufacturers like Gateway (makers of Emachines) and tell them they need a million units with these specs, this special model number and special UPC code.

I dont. I am camping at BB on that day. My dad does shop at Jack in the Box for tacos for us.

If you want to get a desktop from BB you need to be in line around 6am on Thursday. The first 20 people in line at my BB last year were inline for a desktop and laptop. The first person got in line was Wednesday at 1130pm.
