So what do I do if I just want to extend my current plan...is this possible? This is for the BB deal btw If its just for new customers...its the dumbest deal ever as it only works for people who are just getting a cell phone. If you're just getting a cell phone, you're either a kid, very elderly, technology illiterate, or poor. If you are any of these things, the phone does not apply to you, meaning it would only be a deal for those whose plan just happend to run out this month...

Well, I have cingular as it is, so I am just going to extend my service, which should work...if not this is the dumbest deal ever as 90% of americans that can afford cell phones already have one with service.

Honestly, don't be hesitant to do so, I could care less about interface on a forum for 12 hours, and I'm sure others wouldn't mind. I just want to be able to read and post.

The difference with these companies is that they're more like the "little guy" and people will feel obliged to help them by posting a RR when they have a good purchase. Who ever wants to help a giant corporation? Most americans favor these inexpensive little guys and are more obliged to post ratings for them when they have a good purchase. However, there is truth to your statement, but I'm just saying BB RR's are not great in reflecting OVERALL satisfaction. However, if you're comparing BB to other corporations like CompUSSR and CC, then its a valid comparison. You just can't compare BB to "John's Computer Store". As for BB being the "WorstBuy", I find it to be much better than CompUSSR in so many areas. But compared to Newegg, BB sucks. He's just trying to help in showing that BB is worse than other large retailers...its not like hes trying to sway the 5 million Americans planning to shop on BF from not going to BB.

I'm quite confused...I want to get the RAZR from BB but I already have some cheap Cingular phone from last January (with service of course). Could I just extend my current contract and then just transfer the SIM to get the deal?

DB_Cooper...you should have b****ed a lot more to corporate and everything. Cause enough trouble and they'll do something. Go stand outside of there store with a giant sign, or stand in the store discouraging customers to buy from BB and then show them cheaper prices from newegg. Believe me, youll have fun :) Otherwise, just make sure we all complain to BB about how terrible their sales were this year (for no doorbusters) and this caused you to not shop at BB and the same with all your friends. Let them know that this idea is not welcomed.

If you have a good purchase (normal thing to happen) you're not going to go spend time to post a reseller rating. However if you have a bad purchase, you're going to want to post a rating for "revenge" if you will. It still helps to expose the negative things about retailers though, like dell, who has HORRIBLE customer service.

The ad came today and there is a footnote attached to all the prices. The footnote leads to a statement that says the $250 instant rebates only apply with 2-year activation. . Who ever thought of requiring new service with every phone you purchase. What if I just want a phone dammit. Sure its great when you first buy a phone, but who the hell wants to keep the same phone for two years...every six months there are major improvements.

We must make sure to complain and complain or else this will happen everywhere next year!

I think you can still repost the ITEMS in the ads (not the ads themselves) with a different brand name. You can put it something like Loffice Lepot? Thats what BFADS .net has done

All you have to do is repost the ad with a different name, like Sloffice Shepot and they cant do anything if you just post the items and not the actual ad scans. its what bfads did...

Heres what i plan on doing with some friends... 1. Arrive at CompUSA at around 930 or 10 and start shopping at 12am 2. Leave CompUSA at 1230 hopefully and head to Circuit City 3. Wait in line for a while and go in at 5am 4. Rush over to BB in time for opening. 5. Get out of BB at around 7am 6. Have breakfast or go to sleep. Its an all-nighter folks...
