  1. It could be 600 degrees C* below (*centipede) yow!
  2. I have a lava-lite in the back of my minivan that signals it is time for discount [barry White] Loooooooooooooooooooooove [/barry white]
  3. Brad, I think the biggest ratings-grabber for the media (because heavens knows they don't care about anything else) would be a cage match between the Gottadeal mods and the retailer spokestwerps. I leave out the lawyers who send out the C&D letters because they are loathsome pondscum who could be donky-punched by tots. (Note to lawyers reading this: not kidding! ) Anyway, what is crucial is places like this are bonding consumers together and no longer will etailers rule the day. Black Friday indeed! We will find the best bargains out there, and we may not have to stand inline at 3Am to snag them!!!
  4. Brad you have outdone yourself. One question: Is anything on the Wally World list made in the USA? Just curious.
  5. Just as well I suppose, wouldn't want it to appear as if there was any special preference given when I attain moderator status.
  6. Bally? Boyertown? Pennsburg? I gots kinfolk in that area.
  7. Well I am going to rent a Winnebago on Tuesday.
  8. This 3-4 AM stuff may have an impact on my plans.
  9. 3AM at the Disney Store should be interesting...
  10. Next to Brad, Marcster is probably one of the greatest people ever on the Internet!
  11. I'll second the hunt for a good one. You see, here in western PA we had a sighting of a creature that was NOT a bear, but was big and hairy and in the woods. I am not making this up, here's a link. I think 2 or maybe 3 megapixels would be a minimum, plus night vision capability. Are there any Dunhams or Dicks or Gander Mountain BF ads anywhere? I doubt that Linens & Bed Things Beyond carry any good game cameras. Why anyone shops there escapes me. But I digress. If someone had a great deal on a game camera we could literally cover the woods with them, and solve this mystery once and for all.
  12. Dear Santa, I am writing to you on a dark and stormy night. I am serious. It is dark and stormy. Just check out the radar for Western PA. I just wanted to interject that and avoid anyone thinking that I was using a cheap literary ploy. Santa, it could be a long, cold Winter. Or a long warm Winter. Is Al Gore right? I'm not sure. On one hand, when I look at my gas bill I hope that he is right, and instead of snow we will have to shovel steaming magma from our driveways. On the other hand, I think back to my school days, and an afternoon on the skislopes with an old girlfriend. She left me for my best friend and I ran off the slopes and into a Subaru, but I digress. Besides, it was either the Subaru or the barn and the barn was less likely to move. On the other hand (this is working under the presumption that a third prosthetic hand is available) maybe the weather won't change at all. Maybe it will just be endless days of temperate grayish tedium, interspersed with scattered ennui. Santa, at this point you may be wondering what this has to do with a Logitech io2 Digital Pen Digital Writing System. I myself wondered as I began to type this missive, you see Santa, I cannot afford a keyboard. So I am crafting this plea, this plaintive wail, this cry for help on an IBM Selectric. After I finish each page, I then fax it to my email address, and using free OCR software, because I am so desperately fund-challenged, import into this text block. At this point I have to throw in kudos for Brad for providing this text block, even if he has not taken me up on my most-generous offer to be a moderator here. Santa, there are two things that would really brighten my Holiday season. One would be a Logitech io2 Digital Pen Digital Writing System, and the other would be more space on the GottaDeal server for my private message inbox. Sure I don't have many PM's at the moment, but I could foresee a veritable tsunami of amorous epistles from the smokin hot GottaDeal bargain babes once they find out that I would be piloting my own Logitech io2 Digital Pen Digital Writing System. Santa, I know it may seem like an impossible dream, but I will dream the impossible dream, I will reach the unreachable star, I will write the unwritable word, I don't think that I can take it, Cause it took so long to bake it, And I'll never have that recipe again, Oh, no! er, sorry, I think the OCR imported my Macarthur Park .mp8 Drat. * pulls another page out of the Selectric * Santa, I know you're a busy guy, and if you can't find the time to put a Logitech io2 Digital Pen Digital Writing System in my stocking, I will understand. There are more important things in life, and all we can wish for is good health, good friends, and stores that do not send cease and desist letters to the bargain-minded. Have a Happy Holiday, St. Nick, and to all a good night. :) DB
  13. Samsung monitors are usually pretty good, although they do make some low end ones - I would opt for the Acer, save a few $ and avoid the BB madness.
  14. I am liking some of the online deals, not really seeing a bunch of loss leaders by the brick & morter guys to tempt us into the stores on a frosty morning - Sears, CC & Staples would pretty much do it for me (mostly window shopping, maybe a little this and a little that). The biggest loosers (with at least two o's) IMO will be the people standing in line at Best Buy - ho-hum deals and it will still be a zoo.
  15. How come they never have buy one get one free specials on engagement rings?
