  1. Leapster games were on sale at my Target for $19.99. With my $4.00 manufacturers coupon I got a game for $15.99. I also had a $5.00 didj game coupon and I found the didj racing game on clearance for $14.98. So got the game for $9.98. It was the last one at that price at my store and no other games were clearanced out from what I could see.
  2. What does it mean when they say they are "salvaging" things?
  3. Found the Altec Lansing Portable iPod Speaker im600 on clearance for $34.97 regularly $149.99. It will make a great gift for my BF's b-day coming up!
  4. I used this link: http://www.leapfrog.com/en/landingpages/coupons.html to print a coupon for $5 off a Didj game the other week. It shows it's not due to expire until June 5th.
  5. Scored a Sony HD radio with ipod docking station for $44.95 (regular $179.99)at my Macomb Township Target (Here's the link to it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-XDR-S10HDiP-Radio-Dock-iPhone/dp/B0014T4S86). Only one left at this store, but there were other ipod docking stations that were clearanced too.
  6. Okay, good to know thats how it works. I was really ticked the last time I bought something that didn't say it excluded clearance items and the register didn't it ring it up correctly. I wound up just returning those few items. But I will work the system a little better next time! Thanks for the tips!
  7. Does anyone know if these % off work on clearance items? I have not yet come across a coupon at Penny's that works on clearance prices. I was hoping this one might be different.
  8. Hmmm, I was just at my target last night and all their games were marked 18.97, but I see the circular does state $15. Good deal, think I'll print one off and give it a try. Thanks for posting!
  9. Thanks for posting. My boyfriends daughter turns 6 yrs old in a few weeks and this will be perfect for her!
  10. Well, maybe there is hope than. I just e-mailed them this past week, so maybe something will break loose with these people.
  11. Over 6 months later and so far I'm only receiving one magazine from this company when I ordered 3! Won't be doing business with these people again.
  12. Does anyone know if you can return to the store if you bought something online?
  13. Anyone seen any sales, in store or online, for men's dress shoes around $35 and under? I'm looking for shoes that could be worn with work casual (dockers and nice sweater) for my boyfriend. Thanks!
  14. I bought the refurbished nano from the apple store too. Can't beat the 1 year warranty on it (can't seem to get that from other places for refurb'd item) and like you mentioned, it came looking and acting brand new. Will def do refurb'd from apple again!
  15. My mistake! I am finding their site very messy with these free shipping codes. If you are on the clearance page and click on the "details" link under the promotion for free shipping, it tells you that you have to spend $100 or more, but then it says if you don't have promo code. Thats even tho the original link I came from had a promo code for free shipping on 2 clearance items. Uggh, sorry for the confusion!
  16. This appears to be a generic code (78962049) on their site to get free shipping on 2 or more clearance items. However, if you read the details, you must spend $100 or more to be eligible for free shipping.
  17. I have to say, it isn't a ghost town yet, but it does feel like we are a very fragile egg. Seems like at any time we are going to crack and the whole house of cards will come down. I hope I'm wrong - I'm in my 30's so I don't have that much experience with the economy here in the metro Detroit area. But all the older people keep telling me they've never seen anything quite like this before. Very scary to hear. I'd hate to be forced to leave the State, but it may come to that if any of the big 3 go under. It would then officially be a ghost town.
  18. I bet you will see December sales down significantly from last year. My guess is a lot of people were trying to get their shopping done early with as many bargains as possible. Because I know everyone I've spoken to, in both Michigan and Chicago, said they will be cutting back on spending for sure this year. Also, my Christmas list also consisted of things that I need vs things I want. But maybe it's related to the location the people I know live in. A rust belt thing? I don't know.
  19. Thanks for posting! I stopped at Lowes today and picked up a few things. My local store was pretty much out of trees though and I was bummed. I could have used a new one!

    Kohls bucks

I got mine via e-mail last night.
  21. I have version 16. It's really nice in that you can now have two family tree files open at onces. Beyond that, I'm not sure theres really that many new features. I guess it depends on what old version you're using. I usually upgrade every few years, so I don't remember what the older versions have, or don't have, as features.
  22. Yea, all you have to do is take I-94 West bound (although technically it's southbound, but they call it west bound because it will eventually take you west through Detroit) and get off at 23 Mile Rd West and you will see all the shopping in that area around 23 & Gratiot. It usually only takes me about 20 to 25 minutes to get from this area to the Blue Water Bridge. So it's not too far. Once you are in the 23 Mile Rd. & Gratiot area - if you take Gratiot south 3 miles to 20 Mile Rd (also called Hall Rd or M-59 on the signs) and head west bound on Hall Rd for about 3 miles you will pass another Home Depot & Target (about 1 1/2 miles in you will pass a Tim Horton's - I know how much you Canuks like your Tim Hortons!). Keep going another 2 miles past Home Depot & Target and you will see the Partridge Creek shopping center on the left. Another 2 or 3 miles west bound on Hall Rd, past Patridge Creek Mall, you will find Lakeside Mall with a ton more stores both within the mall and around the mall. Plus a gazillion places to eat! You can get back on I-94 to head home by just staying on Hall Rd as they have an on ramp/exit ramp for the freeway from that road too. You can use zip code 48044 to check for availability of items at best buy online (and other stores) and it should encompass all of these shopping locations. Here's the link for Partridge Creek Mall: http://www.shoppartridgecreek.com/ and Lakeside Mall: http://www.shop-lakesidemall.com/html/index4.asp My stomping ground, so easy enough to pass along details.
  23. If your still hanging around on Saturday, it might be worth the drive down to the Chesterfield Twp. area at 23 Mile Rd. & Gratiot. Just about 25 minutes south of Port Huron on I-94 and they have a best buy, kohls, JC Penny, Lowes, Home Depot, Target, Kmart, Pier I, Bed Bath Beyond and a few other stores. Also from this shopping area, you are only about 15 minutes from Partridge Creek Shopping mall which has a Parisians, Nordstrom, and lots of other stores (Bannana Republic, Coach, Skechers, etc.). From Patridge Creek then you are only 5 minutes away from Lakeside Mall which has tons more shopping like Macy's, Penny's, Kohls, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. Just an FYI in case it's at all helpful. Trying to help out my fellow Canuks (grandparents were from Ontario). Happy Shopping!
