  1. Just picked up the console from the store and arrived home. Got there about 12:05 and waited in line about 10 minutes to get in the door. Went straight to the gaming area and picked one up. They had about 40 or so in a stack. Got through the checkout line in about 20 minutes. I went back to the gaming area just to see how many they had left and they still had about 20 available. That about sums up my Black Friday experience. All of my other shopping will be done online.
  2. I have passed on everything so far. I want to buy something bad but I can't find anything I HAVE to have. It is driving me crazy. I will probably go to BestBuy at midnight tonight to get the XBox 360 Holiday bundle for $199 (I can order still order it online but I want to play it tomorrow). Would have liked to have gotten one of the TV deals but I have no TVs I need to replace right now. I'm stocked up on flash drives and memory cards. Darn it!!!!
  3. It's still available in my cart. I may pull the trigger if it's still available closer to 8:00. With this many available online I would assume there should be enough for me to get one at the store at midnight. This is a decent deal, but not a great deal (since you can find it at Amazon and other retailers for $249.00 outside of Black Friday). With the tax that Best Buy will charge me, I would only be paying $38.00 to get it from Amazon and I can get it with 2-day shipping.
  4. It's still available on line. As a Premier Silver member I can get free shipping, but I think I'll just wait until around midnight at head over to my Best Buy and get it there so I can use it right away instead of waiting a week for it to be delivered. May pick up Need for Speed for the PS3 while I'm there.
  5. I will still go to BB on Black Friday (probably right about midnight) to see if I can get the $199 Xbox 360 deal. I'm not going to be too upset if I can't since Amazon.com is running the same deal for $249.00. I'm a Prime member so I get free 2-day shipping and there will not be any sales tax, so the difference in price is only $38. Now I just have to debate if $38 is worth me spending $4.00 in gas and standing in line at the register for 90 minutes at 1:00 A.M. Hmmm.... Amazon is starting to sound better.
  6. Thanks partner. You have given me hope. I guess I'll be heading over there right at midnight--not gonna wait for hours in line. Hopefully they'll have some in stock about 12:15. Wish me well !!
  7. Very disappointed that the Xbox 360 bundle is not one of the items. I guess I can only hope that I can order it at midnight online on Black Friday. I am really hoping I don't have to go into the store.
  8. Thank you!! I don't know why I was thinking the 19th was Tuesday. You definitely saved me!
  9. I'm in the same boat as your freebird. This is the one Black Friday deal I want. I'm a BB Premier Silver member and I'm hoping this is one of the items on the early access sale that we get that starts on Tuesday.
  10. Being an avid gamer, I can tell you that the XBox is nowhere near extinction. It will be a minimum of 3-4 years before you see a new XBox. This is simply a Christmas season price. You have no worries in buying this product.
  11. My local Walmart in Frederick, MD didn't open until 6:00. I got there at 7:37 as I only wanted to get the Xbox 360 as a back-up. There were about 10-12 people in front of me. They had plenty of Xbox 360s left. I got my ticket and the salesperson asked if I wanted any of the other items, which I didn't. Up through 8:00 they had laptops left. The only thing they did ran out of for before 8:00 was the 42" Sharp TVs. They must have had at least 40-50 of the $298 laptops. I was quite surprised that they had so much of everything left when I got there. I'm sure that word of mouth will spread like wildfire for the next sale so you'll have to be there early.
  12. check www.monoprice.com they have the best prices by far and good quality merchandise
  13. From where? Is the sale still going on?
  14. They just had 2 in stock and I waited too long and now they are OOS again. I'll have to keep trying.
  15. Shows as in stock, but selling for $59.99
  16. Went to local Walmart @ 7:50 this morning for the 8:00 Super Secret Sale. I was first in line for the PS3 (they had 5). They also had 5 of the Gateway laptop computers. I would have been #3 in line for those (they had tickets) if I wanted one, but I didn't need it. One gentleman came to the counter at 7:58 for the last ticket. I did speak to one lady who said she got to the store @ 6:00 for the laptop because she thought there was going to be a long line. They said they didn't have any of the 50" Vizio plasma TVs, but were giving out vouchers for 2 of them, which were supposed to come in later today. No one was in line for them though.
  17. Prices on GameBoy Advance games are only going down on older titles, like Cars. Jorjenb is right in that they have stopped most of the production of the GameBoy Advance system, but they are still coming out with new games for the GameBoy Advance. New titles, such as Cars 2 - Mater -National Championship, are still $29.82 just like Nintendo DS games.
  18. They have the same computer that was talked about here last weekend except that it is now $50.00 more, selling currently at $449.00, instead of $399.00. Still a good deal.
  19. Was this one of their Super Secret (name may be wrong) sales?
  20. Lets keep to the point of the original thread and try to stay away from the unpleasantries.
  21. Yes they will. At the regisiter, they will go to the Best Buy website to confirm the offer. They may at that point call the local Best Buy to confirm the availability of the item. If it is available, which it should be since this is not a Black Friday type sale, they will do the price match. Some Sears stores call to confirm availability, others do not. In either case, you should be fine.
  22. This is quite accurate. I've cruised both lines. My very first cruise was with Carnival and we absolutely loved it. They sold us on the cruise vacation. Since then we have been on 3 Royal Caribbean cruises and just recently Princess cruise lines. Without question, of the 3 cruise lines we've been on, Royal Caribbean was the best. They have a ton of activities for children of all ages, day care until approx. 1:00 A.M., teen clubs, etc. Their food is without question better than Carnival's, although Carnival was not bad. We went on the most recently built Princess ship the Crown Princess in November. While this was a nice ship, we still liked Royal better. Not to mention that the shows on Royal were much better. Again, most of their new ships also have ice skating rinks that can be used by passengers during the day, with great shows at night. Most of the newer Royal ships have basically a small shopping mall that runs down the middle of the ship. The brand new ships, Freedom and Liberty, have an incredible mini-water park on deck. However, don't just read my comments and others here, go to specific sites that have 100s of review for all cruise lines, such as www.cruisereviews.com, www.cruisecritic.com, & www.cruiseclues.com Have fun deciding. Once you cruise, you won't stop:D
  23. The price is very good for a 62" DLP. DLP sets are in no way inferior to LCDs. In fact, their overall picture quality is better than flat panel LCDs, and very comparable to a plasma. Plasma displays will give you better "blacks", but color accuracy is very close between DLP and plasma. Just go into your local Best Buy and Circuit City and ask. Great price for a very nice TV.
  24. I got a couple of the post-its online w/ free shipping via Staples rewards. Some of the other skus from the sales paper were invalid and items like the mailing envelopes were out of stock.
  25. Thanks. I just ordered 3 w/ free shipping!!
