I dont think this is a item you have to camp all night for, just be there when the store opens, most people are not looking for a desk top at one that cost 500.00 most are there for cheap laptops and cheap tv's

You still will be able to use your desktop with a wireless router, just plug your desktop directly in to the wireless router with a ethernet cord, and of course your laptop will work threw wireless. And yes I said all laptops can play flash/java games and most netbooks. Those two Window CE based gloried Pda's are not real netbooks. Its a shame a major retailer will sell a CE based netbook to the uninformed masses. I expect a high return rate on these or craiglist selling these for 200 a pop to suckers.

What have to understand that Emerson and Westinghouse are both considered 3rd tier or generic brands. I consider them both equal in quality so it comes down to what store would you rather be at, and frankly you will probably have a better chance getting the one at walmart since they have more stores. No that Insignia player is not wireless, but they do have a wireless model that is $50 more. I bought mine online when they was $99 in October since they were sold out in the stores during the sale. The Wireless n standard is backwards compatible, it will work with your wireless g router at wireless g speeds. No need to get a wireless n router unless you need the extra bandwidth wireless n provides. For most people wireless g is plenty unless you trying to stream high bit rate hd movies or you need the extra range wireless n provides!

DMO you are correct most people are after laptop and netbooks deals, as by evidence by the size of this thread, desktops are not as popular. I would try to order online if best buy has it online black friday morning if not, go when Best buy opens it should still be there, most camping overnite are not there for the 500 desktop.

Yes the Best Buy 499.99 HP desk top deal is a good one. It features AMD just released Athlon II X4 cpu, has 8 gigs of ram and a 1 tb hd drive, it should last a few years without upgrading. It even makes a deceit gaming system by adding a good mid range gaming card!

Short answer to your question is no. The long answer is that all the laptops on sale have integrated graphics chips. Now they will play some older games okay on low settings including the orange box, but anything above that including the cod games are out the question. You need a dedicated graphics card like in the newegg laptop you posted, and that's a very good deal on that laptop. As for as the black friday laptops the best I've seen as for as overall value for the money is the sony laptop in bestbuys ad that has the built in bluray player and come with a bluray movie and headphones for 479.99!

I feel you, and I agree except one thing, Best Buy just sold out of a laptop for 349.00 that had the Athlon II chip, I believe it was the m320 chip, I could be wrong, I doing this off the top of my head. There is nothing wrong with amd chips, They do not run hot or slow down as you say. The intel i7 and i5 are fine chips but we talking about people who looking for a BF deal not a $1000.00 desktop and in mid to low end desktops amd competes very with intel chips. I have to say that the i7 and i5 is OVERKILL for 95% of people on this site who do mostly email, web surfing and things that nature, so pls stop spreading false info about amd. Hell even a amd phenom II X4 is overkill for most!

All new desk tops now come with Win 7 for the most part now (unless its old stock) Dell is good, so is most other desk top brands, just look for one with at least the min specs I listed above, and she will be fine!

Thats nice and all but that is OLD info on last years "griffin" chips based on the old k8 architecture, the new chips are based on the k10 "stars" aka phenom chips. The Athlon II and Turion II chips are more efficient power and heat wise then last years model! I know the article is recent but things changed in a couple of months since it come out, the new chips just launched last month. Plus on the amd chip sets are a more balanced then the intels chip sets, amd has a better igp for light game playing and decoding hd video.

Its sold out now, but its definitely not slow in this price range.
