Netflix will also be dropping to $17.95 next month, so if you watch a lot of indie films or films with subtitles (Japanese anime/samurai/psycho horror, Hong Kong martial arts/gun operas, French art films, ...) you might be happier with Netflix's better non-Hollywood selection.

Buffy is very well scripted if you watch it from beginning to end (at least through season 5). Like Stargate SG-1 the continuity and development of minor characters spans seasons not just 1 or 2 episodes. The Simpsons season 1 episodes were a lot better than I expected, only a few are really different in the voices and designs from later years. The commentary is much more interesting in season 1 than later years as well, since Groening and co. are remembering how they first learned to make a half-hour animated series. Much better than the Futurama commenty where they are jaded veterans.
