when did you order the bundle???? I just put in a order for the target bundle on amazon. Should I be expecting a cancellation email?

This was for a starter bundle ordered on Nov 18th & 19th. We ordered them and then they up and cancelled on us.

I just got an email confirmation of my cancelled Amazon (Target bundle) Wii unit only being shipped next week.

 

Check your email if you had the bundle cancelled. Your unit may be on the way!

Delivery est. is Dec 7-11....whoo-hooo!!!

I think im going to go wih the 360 since my boys love the sports games...But im still researching.. I just want something they will both enjoy.

Okay, just scored my second Wii (wii-haw!) Console only over at amazon What you need to do is do a search for "wii console". It will come up as not available. Keep that page up and refresh every minute or two

I think in order to avoid the fiasco created by the release date and them taking more orders then they had units (not to mention Target hanging their rear ends out to dry) they are putting them up a couple at a time.

It says estimated ship date tomorrow.

Now this is console only not those annoying bundles which are popping up in between consoles.

Well how screwy is all of this!!! I originally ordered the Amazon bundle and they cancelled on ME last week. They gave me $50 in free stuff for another order and said that they would hold a Wii for me to ship THIS week.

I responded back and haven't heard squat.

 

DH called Target and they said they have "alot" but couldn't say how many...

The employees must be having some fun with this.

 

So I guess we will be going to Target on Sunday.

Our local mall has "As Seen On TV" store and Bed, Bath, & Beyond as well as Linen's and Things carries "as seen on" stuff.

I have 2 dd's...10 & 15. My 15yo plays on the XBOX & PS2 (we do not have the 360 & PS3) and my 10yo likes the Gamecube (we are getting a Wii).

I play Gamecube and PS2...

I know that doesn't help you...

 

I guess I can explain it best in the way that Nintendo is like "fun" games.

XBOX is more sports and gore.

 

What are your kids into as far as games? Go look that up and that will tell you the system you need to get.

OOhhh...hold me back....The "big shipment" to our BB was 14 units. Yea...we missed that.

 

As far as the WM ad, don't know why they would print that. I do know that they are supposed to release another 250,000 units, at least that is what I heard.

They are to video game stores inside blockbuster & hollywood video

Interesting....So your Blockbuster's/Hollywood Video's do not sell/rent video games? I have never seen that store inside a movie rental place.

 

Since I have Netflix, I haven't been inside a Blockbuster in 2+yrs....I will bet they sell accessories as well.

Has anyone check with the game stores next to the video stores ie Game Craz, Game Rush At my Game Crazy they still have them in stock?? It seems that these stores get overlooked because they are in a video store for some reason. Just a suggestion.

Is that like a GameStop? I have never heard of Game Craz, Game Rush.

Oh yea...we have checked everywhere. Here in the Dallas MetroPlex it is very hard to get one due to the demand here. Too many PEOPLE!

Sbixby, I noticed you got the same message. We also called amazon just to see if it was a legit email...you just never know.

 

They assured me it was correct and now I am waiting to hear from them.

 

It does say they will be shipping the week of Nov 27th....so we will see.

I have SUCCESS!!!! (I think)

 

I never replied to the Amazon email to confirm the date change so they canceled ON ME...

So as a courtesy they said...(have no confirmation yet)....they are going to sell me the console only, ship it before Nov 27th, (free shipping) plus they gave me 50.00 off a future order from Amazon.

 

Now to see if it comes thru.

Best Buy.... Went at 3:30am...must have been 200+ people in line.

So we waited in line at TRU...no go. Our TRU said tonight or tomorrow so check before Sunday, just in case.

Went to all Gamestop's, around 5 of them. All had 5 units and people in line already..so a bust there.

Went to Best Buy to get some other stuff and they are saying Sunday.

No that is not what goes on anymore...used too. They hand out line tickets now. So guess what...have to be at the front of the line, as per # of units they have.

 

Call the store you want to stake out. Best Buy here told us that they will be handing out there tickets at 4AM this year.

From what I've been hearing from stores, it sounds like the next big shipment will be for sale on Sunday. I've heard this form Walmart, and several best buys. Jus thtought I'd mention it.

Hubby has been calling around for me ( ) and some stores admitted to "sitting on the wii system" for Black Friday. So that is true.

 

However they did comfirm the next big shipment is Sunday.

The system has only been out for 3 days, relax. You're also better of checking around your local area's retailers than online. Didn't someone on here post up yesterday or so about his/her Costco having about 22 of them sitting there? Keep calling them up, and if not this week, there's always next week.

I live in the Dallas MetroPlex...There isn't one thing on the shelf anywhere, except games.

My area will be hard to find one.

I just got the January shipping date from the Amazon/Target bundle too. I ended up canceling since this is a Christmas Present for the kids. I could cry.
