Here are some ideas I found... * Small potted plants make lovely favors. If you have plants of your own a good value alternative to purchasing them, is to take cuttings and plant in small pots; tie a ribbon around the pots in a color that coordinates with the baby shower colors or theme. Or cut felt into triangles; put these around the little pots then fold up the bottom corner, then the other two corners to make a diaper. Secure with a diaper pin. The felt could be white or this too could coordinate with the baby shower colors. * Candy, Jordan almonds or Hershey kisses, in tulle, favor boxes, or cellophane bags tied with a bow, and personalized with a little baby related charm, wrapped candy bars and chocolate lollipops are always popular choices. * Homemade cookies are a nice idea, there are lots of cookie cutter shapes to choose from, a teddy, ducky or bunny would be cute; small currants could be used for the eyes. Or cut the biscuits into rounds and decorate with icing to resemble a baby’s ball. * Small soaps are available in lots of sweet shapes. Try to find a shape that is appropriate for a baby shower. A soap could then be presented in a cellophane bag and tied with ribbon or raffia. * Seeds are a favor that your guests will get a lot of pleasure from. Perhaps something with baby in the name. * Making your own potpourri sachets is easy, they make an excellent affordable favor that your guests will adore and can then use to give their linen or clothes a delicate scent; just purchase some pretty colored sachet bags, and half to two-thirds fill with potpourri. Add a baby charm, or choose sachets bags, bows or ribbons that match your theme. * Candles wrapped in tulle, or simply tied with ribbons that coordinate with the baby shower colors, are not only pretty but practical too. *Buy a cheap baby bottle and put candy in it. You could also personalize it. *Buy bath saltz and put them in a cheap baby bottle. Pink and white for girl, Blue and white for boy...

Practice your throw by putting a trash can (or popcorn tin) across the room and see how much popcorn you make in....You could be a popcorn allstar....

There is no point in going to Walmart on Black Friday. I wouldn't go even before all of this mess b/c I get pissed off every time I go in there. I'd rather pay more money at Kroger for my groceries than deal with all the people, the not friendly at all cashiers who I have to explain how to ring up coupons, what I need is never in stock or its the last item and is all beat up, if it is in stock it breaks not long after buying it or winds up being some part of a recall that you are gonna die from eating/having it b/c they got it from China. Oh yeah if you go on BF, be sure to let me know out of their 60 check out lines they will only have 4 open like any other usual day. Wasn't the store created for Cherry pickers?? AR is not the richest state.....

I read this thread yesterday and am appalled that Walmart is being a big baby about the whole situation. I understand they don't want anyone to match their ads by seeing them but I don't think Target cares to put Garth Brooks and bath robes on sale...lol I should have read yours before I sent mine! and got some ideas! lol....I loved your letter!
