In the past Walmart would usually price match. Do you think that if the Toys R Us ad is taken to Walmart around 5 they will match the price? If so that's where I am heading.

I am really irritated with the earlier times. I really would like to get the Leapfrog LeapPad 2 and of course its available in store only.

I am about to purchase my daughter a pair of Durango Boots, are they a decent brand? They are about $90.

MESSAGE FOR shadow1p06: I am going to be upgrading my son's phone for Christmas and am thinking about the deal with the Samsung Captivate Glide which offers the $100 gift card. Do you know if that gift card is given to you immediately in store so that it can be used?

What age group is the Nabi 2 directed at. I have a DS 12 who really wants a tablet this year, we've just got very little money to play with.

What I love most about Black Friday is the addrenaline rush I get standing in line waiting for the awesome deals. It is also a tradition for my daughter (14) and I to spend some quality time and shop and go to breakfast without her other siblings.

All my DD14 wants for Christmas is a pair of cowboy boots. Does anyone know of any stores that have them on sale on Black Friday or run good sales through Christmas???

If I'm looking at the ad right, the XBox 360 Gears of War Bundle has the $50 e-gift card but the XBox 360 Kinnect Bundle does not stipulate that it is an e-gift card which I would assume would mean you could use it in store. Does anybody know if that is correct?

If this is offered online, how would they work the Walmart Gift Card?

Ours did not have any of the $3 hand mixers or the zhu zhu pets and the $10 WII games and $7 DS games were very limited as well.

That is also what I am planning on getting at Walmart. My plan is to go around 10:00 and see if they have the deals already setting out or if they are covered with plastic again this year. If they are just sitting out then I will put it in my basket until Midnight and check out and if not then I will stand there till midnight and get it. I just need that and the Tech Deck Ramp for my DS.

So far I have not been impressed at all with the ads, although I am still waiting for Kmart and Walmart. I am also pretty dissapointed in Toy's R Us this year. I think opening at Midnight last year was okay and I'll admit I was in line but opening even earlier this year at 10pm I believe is taking it too far. One of the things I like about Black FRIDAY is that I get to spend time with my family eating and then relaxing and then getting up early to get the best deals, now I just feel as though I'm going to be rushed.....or maybe not as I'm not too impressed with those deals anyways.

Up until last year, I had always gone by myself becuase I didn't want to have anyone else slowing me down :) My DD12 begged and begged me last year up until the day and I usually do take her with me to the Kmart Thanksgiving Day sale and she has done well. So last year I gave in and let her come with me to Toy's R Us at midnight, she had a blast and was amazed that all the stories I have told about long lines and people pushing and shoving were true. After TRU we went to our local Walmart Superstore so we didn't have to wait outside in the cold and my daughter proceded to get in the buggy lay down and take a 2 hour nap :) She did really well though for the rest of the day and was actually a big help in getting throught the crowds and getting items for me.

Same thing on the 3000 ton floor jack and the welder is at the same price now with coupon too Kind of dissapointing but still going there to get the welder!

Ordered a pair for myself and I'm contemplating ordering a pair for my mother but she's picky so I'd like to see my pair first.

Ace Hardware - 10/9/10

I just had something similar happen to me the other day, but Walmart actually honored the mistake. They had about 8 or 9 Ripsticks stacked up in the Clearance section with the tag underneath stating it was $19.99 . I couldn't believe it, so both me and another man that was in the same aisle both grabbed one up. Of course when we got to the cash register it rang up $79.99 and the cashier and CSO both tried to tell me that the sticker was for Mega bots or something like that but once I spoke with the manager and explained that there were numerous Rip sticks stacked up under this price tag and he went and confirmed it, he gave it to me for the $19.99 price. My DS9 is going to be so happy about that this christmas. :)

The craziest thing I've ever encountered on Black Friday was about 3 years ago and Target had deals on matchbox cars. I have never seen so many grown men fighting over these cars. We even had to have the police called because a couple of men got into an actual fist fight. It was amazing to me.

1. In your opinion, what store had the best Black Friday ad last year (2008) and why? For me last year I would have to say Walmart was the best store that I shopped at. With two kids under 10 they had alot of items on sale last year in their toy section that my kids were happy to get Christmas morning. My local store also price matched two items for me from another store so that was helpful too. 2. What would be your #1 piece of advice to someone totally new to Black Friday? My #1 piece of advice would be go into this with a plan! You can't just get up and decide to go to the store you want right when it opens and expect to get the deals. You have to strategically map out your stores, times and items beforehand. I would advise them to go to gottadeal.com and pull the ad threads and make a solid plan before leaving their house. [B]3. Besides offering great deals, what else can a store do to get you to shop there on BF? The earlier a store plans on opening, the better the chance they will get my business because it allows me to hit more stores throughout the day. It also doesn't hurt if they are offering extra incentives on top of their great deals.

I think this year I will definately be looking to get a Blue Ray player and my DD11 needs a new TV. My kids both want a Wii this year so I will be on the lookout for cheap games.
