Age differences does make it hard as they older the child the more expensive the list. My oldest is 12 and youngest is 6. 12 yr old wants all electronics which are costly where as the youngest still wants Barbies and Bratz which are all under $10 on sale. I do however, do one big gift for each. My son knows that he may have one or two presents less, but in my mind I still try to even it out. lol

I know it sounds so odd, but its for a joke gift for my husband for christmas. He quit smoking 3 weeks ago (hes doing SUPER) and he is like the smoke police now (yes I still smoke but only outside and he rags me daily although I have cut down). He still fidgets and has to hold something all the time to curve his cravings. He's been sucking on altoids daily which seem to help. I thought it would be hilarious as he keeps saying he wants a cigarette (but he has will power so he doesn't) so I thought a case or at least several packs of candy cigarettes would be funny. He likes to hold pens in his hand as he says he feels like its a cigarette. This way, he gets to hold the candy cigarette and munch on them too. I thought of this as his friend found a pack and brought it to work the other night. He joked around to his employees that they were the only ones that he would smoke now. Figured he'd get a kick out of it. ( I called his friend and he said he got them at a corner store, but when I went there they didn't have any left). I figured a whole case would be funnier. anyone know of a wholesale place that would have these? Thanks for any help. ***Hes on a prescription stop smoking pill and didn't do it cold turkey. Our insurance pays 100% of the $130 a month prescription but only for him and not family members, hence why I have gotten it*** Too expensive for us for me to get on it.

I went to my Walmart and they still had these. Also had the Rocky dvd set. I was tempted to buy that one as my son LOVES the Rocky movies, but I've already bought him so much

Well, I went to Circuit City today and purchased the magnavox 27" tv. Its a flat screen and the sound and picture are amazing! I love it. In and out of there quickly. Salesman was great and they loaded in within minutes!

LOL when don't I spend too much?? I buy one kid a big present and realize the other's is lacking (though by any kids standard their presents are super). I get so caught up in it, that I way overspend every year.

I know when I worked at CVS when they were closing the store, we discounted the items ourselves using the calculator. Our manager told us to discount further if we felt it wouldn't "fly off the shelves". We had our tag gun and went to town. I swear I bought so much I wasted a months worth of paychecks. lol. We were allowed to keep anything as long as we bought it by the end of our shift.

Is Magnavox a good brand and reliable? We have a Toshiba now and it has lasted YEARS. First time we had a problem.

Are you friends with her parents? What do they think of this? Maybe im old fashioned, but I don't promote girlfriends/boyfriends at that age. Way too young. If her parents don't mind and its a gift of friendship then thats a different story. A nice christmas card would suffice w/ a mini stocking filled with some candy.

We aren't looking for LCD or anything fancy. We need a regular 27" Tube television for our extra family room. Don't want to spend a bunch. We figured we were looking at $200-$250. Anything cheaper would be great. Not sure if any tv sales are going on. Seems all the stores are selling the plasma/fancy tvs. Not ready to spend the big bucks right now. Just need a replacement for the entertainment center.

I always go instore on BF. Wouldn't be the same otherwise. Im lucky though as my husband's company closes every year on Thanksgiving and on BF. Of course if I didn't have a sitter for any reason, then of course I would go online.

I thought about buying one until I read the reviews. Thats what changed my mind. A Walmart manager that posts on here said it was the number 1 returned big screen tv. That sealed it. I'll keep shopping

I didn't buy any toys for toys for tots. I did buy toys and clothing items for the family we adopted for christmas though

We usually are up by 7am. I make coffee then turn the lights on. Get the camera ready. Then the kids are allowed to come down. They open gifts and look in their stockings. Then we have a nice christmas breakfast. We don't go to my parents house till noon.
