We were lucky this year that everything is in working order. My daughter loves her easy bake oven. She made us some chocolate chip cookies. Surprisingly pretty good!

Walmart free shipping or discount
elena_398 replied to RubyRed5's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
If they aren't having the 97 cent shipping deal anymore, then the shipping costs stand. Never have Walmart done a free shipping offer. Usually no codes for Walmart either. Sorry. In ohio, no ship to store option here either -
Wal-Mart shipping high - should I buy these anyway?
elena_398 replied to RubyRed5's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Its all up to you. How bad do you want the items? Combine the regular price of the items to the shipping and see if its still a deal. I run into this a lot. Super pricing on merchandise, but the shipping always gets ya -
I always wait for the christmas cards. They had literally 100s of them. People were buying, but I always wait till 75% off. Im going to head out this Friday or Saturday to check

I did my huge selling before christmas. Taking a break. lol -
My husband took down EVERYTHING today. My living room looks so big now. lol

My husband shocked me. lol. He got me a new Kodak Easy Share camera plus charging station and memory picture card. Wasn't expecting that one. Our old digital camera was several years old and was only 3.2 mega pixels. This one is 7.1 and records video. Its nice My parents gave me a $200 gift card to the gas station I go too and a $250 gift card to my grocery store. My grandparents shocked me and sent my sister and I each a $2000 check.

Amazon.com has 'best ever' sales in 2006
elena_398 replied to bigjimslade's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I've never ordered so much as I did from Amazon online this year. I loved their sales and clearances. -
Mine opened at 6am. I got there around 5:45am. At both entrances, 40+ people already in line. lol. It was an absolute MAD HOUSE

Im going to head to some more stores tomorrow. Looking to stock up on some more kids stuff for parties etc. Also candles. I bought some today but the candle bases were gone.

I cut down on candy this year. Didn't want them to have all that chocolate. With my son in wrestling he can't have it anyway. I filled the stockings with a lot of small gifts. Tic Tacs, sugar free gum, and sugar free candy (some chocolate but not a lot). My son got his Tag and Axe sprays, wrist bands, book light, necklace or chain I guess for a man, and a stop watch. My daughter got perfume, earrings, necklace/bracelet set, body tatoos and stickers, and nail file and lotion

We have a rountine on christmas. Never anything super exciting: Get up with the kids. Open gifts and stockings I make christmas breakfast. Get ready and go to my parents house Exchange gifts Eat christmas dinner Come home and put all the toys and gifts away and open what they want to play with then Get pjs on and RELAX. Personally, I would love a quiet christmas and lounge at home. lol

My Walmart didn't put any storage containers on clearance. Big sign when you walk in: All christmas items 50% off EXCEPT storage containers.

Scored at Walmart today. Got $130 worth of stuff (after clearance prices). Would have been way over $300 otherwise. Got tons of cologne and perfume sets for gifts all next year. My daughter averages 4-5 birthday parties so I bought enough little girl bath sets, makeup sets, brush and perfume sets to take care of all those (just have to buy cards now) Even got my Dad done. They had the massaging stuff on sale 50% too. Heated back seat for home or car w/ remote for only $7. bought 2. One for my husband and one for my dad.

I went today and stocked up on the birthday parties my daughter will be going to. She averages 4-5 so I stocked up on the little girls bath sets, perfume sets, and kids makeup and brush sets. All gifts are done for next year. LOL. I also scored on the cologne and perfume sets today. Got my son and husband done and some Rimmel perfume for me. I had a $50 GC to Walmart so used that up quickly. I wait for the christmas cards till 75% off. They are always left. Im going to check if its 75% off at the end of the week. I showed up this morning at 5:45am and at least 40+ people at each door. It was like free stuff was in there. lol
-
Mine has, but there was barely anything left. Few odd ball items, but around me most good stuff goes at 50% off. 75% is ok, but really picked over
-
My neighbors have their annual New Years Eve party. Its always interesting. lol. Never know what they come up with from year to year. I always bring an appetizer.
-
My husband put his gun in his gun rack (all locked up). Rule is he can only use it when hes there. Not even me as I don't know a thing about guns in general. They are going target shooting tomorrow after I get back from my after christmas sales.

All closed around here. Reopening with all christmas stuff 50% off at 6am. My alarm clock is going off around 5:15am so I can be there. lol

help - looking for a deal on a swing set
elena_398 replied to doreen725's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
swing sets/ jungle gyms are seasonal items here. Maybe someone has them in the warehouse, but haven't seen any in the stores. -
My Rite Aid yesterday had the outdoor deer (buck and doe) for 50% off. Would have been $25 I believe. They were the big ones that light up and their heads move up and down.
-
I seriously doubt my husband thought of any consequences before surprising him. lol. Wouldn't you know too my son has glasses. Is this a sequel to A Christmas Story waiting to happen!!!???
-
Well, the dogs loved their gifts. Of course the little one is chewing on the larger dogs treat and vice versa with the larger dog. LOL. Can't win, but at least they are enjoying them. Its sorta funny seeing the Rat Terrier chew on the large nylabone (bigger than she is) and the Yellow lab chewing on the small nylabone.

Well, my husband surprised even me this morning and bought my son the Red Rider Gun (from the Christmas story). The kids opened up their gifts and he told me son he "saw" something by the entertainment center. Funny thing is the Christmas story is playing on the tv next to it (24 hour TBS marathon). I swear as soon as I saw the box I knew. My son (age 12) went over and opened it. He absolutely loved it. Of course it didn't actually work like the movie as my son dumped all the pellets on the floor. lol (whatever you call them ). They are outside now target shooting. God I hope neither of them shoots their eyes out.

I set my alarm at 7:30am. Only one up. I got the lights on, coffee started and the video camera ready. By then, my husband woke up and went into the kids' rooms. First time ever, WE had to wake them up. lol
