Looking for Tiger Face Earrings (sports)
elena_398 replied to Stowasser's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
No tiger earrings at my local sports shop. Just my school's Panther paw earrings. They want $8 a pair anyway. (I bought my daughter's Panther Paw earrings at their school spirit shop (in school store) for only $5. Go figure -
I only have one more gift and thats for my daughter. I believe then I am done. I will check all my stashes though. Part of my son's bigger gifts was me buying half of the xbox-360 for him. So that won't be a wrapped gift. lol

Looking for Tiger Face Earrings (sports)
elena_398 replied to Stowasser's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I can look at my local sports shop that sells all the items for area schools. The city next to me is the Massillon Tigers. Im going there this week for a Panther hoodie (my kids' high school is the Perry Panthers). I'll let you know. I know they sell Panther paw earrings. -
My son bought the Pro (60 hard drive) ... He loves it.

Several years ago I was in line at KB toys. I was 2nd in line and my sister was first. It was when the furreal cats were all the rage and hard to find. Anyway, KB advertised them for a really super price and of course it was a must have for my daughter. We get in line by midnight. By 2am there was over 150 people in line. (they open at 5am). It was a few minutes to opening, a car pulls up to the curb by the front of the line and a lady comes out and helps another lady in a wheel chair. Big showing of how she couldn't barely walk, etc. The one lady pushes up to the front of the line by the cement post (right by door) and we all in the front look at each other. She tells us that it doesn't matter where they are in line as she can't walk very well and the other lady with them will get in line in the back once she parks the car. Of course we all say thats fine... ( the lady in the wheelchair did look pathetic lol). Anyway, doors open and wouldn't you know that the lady in the wheel chair JUMPS up and runs into the store. The other lady pushes and shoves her way past me. Little did they know... security guard who opened the door saw the whole thing and grabbed them out of the store. They were kicked out. I look back on it now and laugh, but I was so mad at the time for being fooled like that.

How far in advance is your Black Friday plan ready?
elena_398 replied to cassgurlie04's topic in 2008
I don't have a plan this year. Im pretty much done with shopping except for stocking stuffers. My plan is to NOT impulse buy. lol -
What are some of your Black Friday traditions (besides shopping)?
elena_398 replied to ChristmasShopping's topic in 2008
I shop alone so I always stop by for a nice cup of coffee on the way home while the rest of the family is snoozing. I put away my items then come on this board to hear what everyone got and/or their stories. I usually take a nap then the family puts up the tree and starts decorating -
Im a stay at home mom so home 7 days a week, but with homework, after school activities, and bath times.... Weekends are better for me. Saturday OR Sunday (nights)

Walmart... I like going there as I can price match tons of stuff and get some stores off my list on BF.

Just ordered my last gift for my daughter- a portable dvd player from Walmart (bought from there as I have $100 in Walmart gift cards) and a cd. Paid only a few dollars out of pocket. So this BF, I have to watch as my kids are done so what I buy now will be "extras" -

I bought a wine cooler at the Home Depot and its 5 years old. Works as good as the day we bought it. Its mostly empty, but looks good in the downstairs living room. LOL (or as I call it, my husband's play room.). It has the big screen down there w/ full surround sound, the X-box 360, etc. Its the boys' domain. I rarely use that room. My son keeps water bottles in it. lol
