  1. DH recently found his 3 younger sisters who had been taken from his mother and given up for adoption (long story, mother had mental disabilities). I am making each of them a scrapbook full of their baby pics and family pics, since they don't ahve any pics of themselves from before they were adopted. I hope they all love it.
  2. My first Christmas with DH, we had a kitten. She LOVED the tree. I come from a family that ALWAYS puts up the tree the day after Thanksgiving (BF) and takes down the tree the day after New Year's, so I had over a month of fun with her. After a LOT of yelling and swatting her out of the tree and spraying her with water as she ran away through the room (not while in the tree), she finally got the hint. Then I spent 6 months finding all my ornaments. What fun.... After that first Christmas, I didn't have any more problems out of her.
  3. What kind of stuff does BL have for doorbusters/blitzes on BF? I've been during a regular sale, to get specific items, and I buy some Xmas decorations and things there, but never been on BF.
  4. Didn't know TSC did BF. We go there every few weeks or more often, for horse and dog feed and tack supplies. May have to keep my eyes open, huh?
  5. I love layaway, and some years I use it on BF. Kmart in my town (just a couple of miles from WM) will still do layaway. If they have better or comparable BF blitz deals, I will go to KM. KM is still trying to build a loyal customer base, so I wouldn't be too surprized if they had some good buys that day.
  6. My Wal-mart has these year-round. Old, cheesey movies, usually. The current releases will blitz on BF here, like they have the past few years.
  7. My cell reception is bad in our SWalmart, too. Everyone I know gets bad service in ours. Our toy department hasn't really been stocking up yet, but I'm sure they will in the next week or two. Right now they're still doing clearance on the few left-over summer items (pool stuff, picnic supplies, wind chimes, etc), which isn't much. I've been buying some of the clearance stuff that could double as Christmas presents (Auburn windchimes for the Auburn football fan, etc.) for as little as 1/5 of the regular price. The Christmas section is gearing up. At the Dollar stores and such, too. I love it!
  8. I'm hoping for good clothes deals, laptops (little sis needs one for college dorm), and small (20" or so) tv's, as we need one for the guest room that won't take up too much space. An IPod sale would be nice.... Last year, my picks were clothes, the really cheap MatchBox or HotWheels (which ever) race track sets, and the 18 qt. Rival slow-cooker oven, which I love.
