  1. It's hit and miss on the site and the store. With the website it takes at least an hour of refreshing your cart to be able to check out and I wouldn't be surprised to even have it cancelled later but that's a chance you have to take. Usually if I see it at the store too I'll grab it again and take it back in case the website cancels because of low stock.
  2. something people need to remember is that items go on sale online at 12:00. I usually shop on line and then hit the store for what I still need. The website gets blogged down and it will take a couple hours but then it's time to leave for the store so it's something you just have to plan for. The dinnerware set I want has a $15 per set surcharge for shipping so I will definately pick it up in store to save $30.
  3. With buying a 2nd home I am THRILLED with the ad. I have an entire kitchen to buy for. I almost purchased the Oneida dinnerware set yesterday but I am so glad I didn't. Even with it on sale yesterday I will still save $80 and end up with Kohl's cash to boot. There's several items that I will be grabbing and saving a ton of money on. Thanks Brad!
  4. Did anyone else get the 19" TV/DVD rebate? I got a rebate credit card in the mail but it didn't say where it was from. I purchased two of the tv's and the rebate was for $50 each so the card had $100 on it so that's why I assume it's from Kohl's. Maybe it was another one that I sent, I should really keep better track.
  5. kohls.com

If you have a kohls card and use the codes MVC4FREE (free shipping) and KCTAKE30 (30% off)

it will be 180.30 + you will get $30 in kohls cash!

That's how I got mine. Hubby still laughs at how I tell people I saved a couple hundred dollars when I bought it, he says he doesn't even want to know the original price if I saved a couple hundred buying it!!!

  6. Has anyone bought a men's suit from Kohl's? My husband needs a suit, but I can't get him in the store, so I thought I would buy one online with the 30% off and if it didn't fit return it. What brands do you like? He's 60.

    thanks

I had hubby in the store and he still had to try several on to get the right fit. You can always order it and get a general idea when it comes and take it back and exchange it or refund.

  7. I was just going to post that!

I bought chair pads, but had to return them.

Thought I was going to lose out but they gave me a gift card for the amount of my return (which was all $40.00 of my Kohl's cash!)

And what's even better is that the gift card can be used on line and has no expiration date!

If everyone starts doing that I'm betting Kohl's catches on and changes their polices. They have several little "glitches" that their computer doesn't catch but if everyone knows about it they will change things I'm sure of it.

  8. lol hpowers, me either. I'm really not sure why someone would pay (not much less than a qualified tax preparer) for a software that actually has LESS benefits and a higher risk for error than the free software.

To each his own, I guess- just gotta hope they don't get caught up in one of the huge TT glitches!

I was wondering what you would say to this. I thought maybe I was missing something. Yes, to each his own.

  9. last time i counted about 3 months ago i had 555 coke rewards points there are TONS more since then i am guessing probably close to 1,000 and adding more as we finish off, looking to trade for GC's or anything you might have, Amazon would be great but open to any stores i buy lots of kids stuff so anything for kids stores too! i can count them all tomorrow to get an exact total if theres any interest!

Why don't you just buy the gift cards with the codes?

  10. www.taxact.com is fully free- regardless of income. If your state charges, you do have to pay their fees. Missouri is less than $15- or was last year. I'm not sure what it is this year.

Thanks. I usually use taxslayer and they have all my depreciations on "file" so it's easy to just continue. I'll give taxact a try.

  11. federal efiles are free, regardless of the software.

I'm a CPA, and I only recommend www.taxact.com to someone who wants to do their own (and no, it's not just for EZ). It's free (minus your state) and updated in realtime so you won't have the issues that are possible with boxed software. Boxed software is produced in the masses, so if there is a glitch (and there normally is) it is in every piece of software, which they will not fix.

Are there any free ones regardless of income levels? online of course.
